I don't know if this is mentioned in the Vettel DS3 threads, and I know that there are quite enough X1 Challenge conversations floating around already, but hear me out.
I decided to take a break from the challenge and watch the Vettel demonstration run. I noticed, his time doesn't beat the gold. In fact, his time is slower than even silver. I checked all three tracks, and Polyphony decided to set gold just about 2 seconds faster than his times.
Personally, I think this sucks. It means that we are expected to outperform a highly skilled professional. I think this asks too much from the normal player, and it downplays the professional (the current Formula One World champion, mind you) who set the times. It almost seems disrespectful in my opinion. I'm trying not to sound like a complainer, but I just don't think that we should have to prove ourselves to be better than the best.
What do you guys think about this?
