Hi yesterday i set a lap time of 6:02,126 in my CLK touring car and i felt quite proud of that and was wondering if anyone else has anything to top that or is that a genuinely good time?![]()
Why would a question that has nothing to do with a race get better feedback on the "race reports" forum?
ellisnutt, I've never tried that but 6 minutes is nothing to sneeze at so it sounds pretty good. On the other hand if it was *really* good you probably wouldn't have to ask as you'd already know how fast you are and how good your lap was.![]()
No it isn't, it's a question. Go look at that forum and you'll see what race reports actually are. Then look at your lap time question on that board (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=213039) and draw your own conclusions why it's locked with 0 replies...
Not a word in his post resembling "on-line" as far as I can tell, and the forum you describe doesn't exist. The closest one I can find (Online Events/Time Trials) is all but dead - looks like about 20 posts total in the last week. Why are you so adamant about moving his thread away from a place where he's already getting useful replies(discounting yours)?
You might want to move that to this section of the forum. You'll more than likely get better feedback. 👍

It's a question,not a race report!
Sorry to put this here but this is indeed a question and not a race report like many others have said, and Crazed Coupe...
M3 GTR is not street legal in GT5. There are street versions but those are not the ones in GT5.
It not a race report! Guess your the dumb one now.Are you dumb or what?
Read are little argument we got into before you open your mouth.![]()

Once again read our little argument. I understand now that this is not a race report but you're obviously to dumb to go back and read what I previously said. 👎
Edit: It is also spelled you're not your.![]()
I stand corrected but you're still wrong, it belongs right here.
If you have an idea for a challenge or simply want to discuss/compare lap times however, then this is not the place to post! Please post in this forum instead....
(GTP Forums > Gran Turismo > On-Line Racing > Spot Races and Lap Time Comparisons)
Finally he gets it's not a race report!
I figured that out a while back but like I said you're too dumb to go back and read. You might want to learn how to defend yourself if you plan on starting an argument with someone.
This was not an argument. This was me telling you it was a race report.![]()
Read our little argument before you open your mouth.
The is a street legal and race version, so yes there is one GTR that is indeed street legal.
Sorry for the double post but some people...
The what?
Sorry, I couldnt resist, due to the fact you seem very keen to point out small errors people make. Can you spot the error in this post?
On topic, my best is 6:09 so well done ellisnut.
Ok..easy kids...
Now, back to the OP.
I personally have gotten a 6'03.0xx in that car, and generally speaking I'm no slouch, so yes, I would say that is pretty quick. I'm sure a "perfect" lap would be somewhere in the mid to low 5'50's if you managed to hit every apex and whatnot just right. So, keep practicin on it and get back to us hmm?
And please don't use this to draw me into your argument, but could you guys take it into a private message? I doubt our poster wants to read through all of that to get to an actual answer. Thankyou =D
I believe someone with better throttle control than me may break 6 mins in either the CLK or R8 LMS.
Do people still feel the need to reply to my post?
Yes I put "the" instead of "there", happy now?
Edit: I also feel the need to point out small errors when people try to start shi* with me. I had no intention of starting yet another argument with you but you seem to disagree.
R8 LMS is not a DTM car. Someone mentioned the M3 GTR as well - also not a DTM car.
The R8 LMS was built for the FIA GT3 championship and the BMW M3 GTR was built for the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).
Neither car would be eligible for the DTM, despite what PD thinks...
The only 'proper' DTM cars in the game are the Vauxhall/Opel Calibra and Astra, the Merc 190 and CLK, Audi TT and A4, and the Alfa Romeo 155. Additionally, the Lexus ISF racing concept was built to DTM regs but was never raced in the championships.
I'll get my anorak...

actually, the BMW 320i touring car was actually raced in the DTM (or was it the WTCC, hmmmm)
