Fastest FF Car?

I got a supercharged Accord coupe with 474hp and 49kgfm at 1234kgs that I like to embarrass more serious cars with. Took a bit of work to make it nimble but I've beat GTR's with it in the past.

Let's go around High Speed Ring and see if you guys can show that the DC2 or DC5 can catch my SRT-4, because I was having fun last night online matching it with JGTC's all race. 👍 See if you can get sub-1.04 around there (and this was witnessed by other GTP'ers who were racing with me!!)

Well, High Speed Ring and tracks that are more wide and/or have a higher corner radius, it should be able to rip on just about any other FWD. For more technical tracks with an abundance of tight corners, it would struggle. So yes, what I guess I'm saying is that you are correct and I don't doubt it one bit. :)

Could someone kindly explain to me why the Volvo C30 R is considered so good?

I bought it and modded to 300hp and its really not quick in the slightest.

Fastest FF car?

Who cares? FF cars are for getting groceries. :p

As someone said... the Mugen Motul Civic Si Race Car ‘87 is pretty close to the top as far as getting around a track.
That car is rubbish compared to the Mazda Kusabi.

Owning one of these IRL, the idea of putting 474 bhp under the hood makes me go :dopey:

the 95 eclipse gt...**** is a beast, It runs with my ferrari enzo till like its 4th gear, if u know how to tune the suspension and lsd you wont have any problems with a FF car. U just have to adjust from driving awd, FR, MR, to FF...thats what make GT such a great game. And none of them in the same class (MR/MR) would feel the same.

Actually it's 482hp & 1102kg. I have one.

If anything, you want the LSD to be as weak as you possibly get to reduce understeer. Not 5/5/5, but somewhere around the lower end works well.

You mean this one??

Yeah, you failed because that burnout is FWD!

There is no way this car is making 700whp...BS. maybe 320, maybe. especially out of a 1.6l, thats impossible, wuts it runing like 90psi on a t6/t7 turbo with 10:1 compression.....um hell no

Yeah. Those 1.5L Honda V6s that regularly exceeded 900 HP in Formula One in the 80s clearly didn't exist.

A little under 41, on a BTX6565, with 9.0:1 pistons.

Surprised reading this thread that the Xsara rally car is FF...shows my ignorance.

Also surprised no-one mentioned a tuned FTO, that was always my FF of choice in previous GTs, yet to try one in GT5 though.

Though that seasonal time trial at Cape Ring a while back does imply that the Kusabi is one of the best FF cars I guess.

Sure, lets take your stock SRT-4 and my stock DC-2 and see wasup. Or at least tuned to same specs...equal specs im sure the DCs could smoke the Neon.

If the Citroen Xsara P2 Kit Car isn't the fastest FF in the game, I can't imagine what the faster car might be.

Can't say about any other tracks, but I can't get the Xsara around Deep Forest as fast as I can get the Integra DC5 RM around. (1:12.907 personal best lounge time in the Integra for the sake of specificity.)

no it can´t .. so far the Neon is the fastest FF car in the game, at least at Highspeed Ring

not saying it is ... but until the srt-4 was discovered.. my Eclipse Gt could beat most FF cars in any track.. Trial Mountain and Tsukuba included 👍

I think Trial Mountain is a pretty good measuring stick as long as you're not cutting corners. What kind of laptimes are you getting with either the SRT or the Eclipse?

I think I'm going to have to add another STELLAR FF car; Acura CL 3.2 Type-S '01! Love this thing! Even totally stock (on comfort tires) it has heroic handling with minimal understeer and skidding if driven properly in my opinion. I quite enjoy driving it as-bought, except for a oil change! Lots of low-end torque and a good amount of power for swift acceleration completes the package!👍

I know these things don't get a ton of attention generally, but I urge everyone to buy the next one that comes up in the UCD! You won't regret it! I bought a second one and tined it to ~300hp with sports softs and a racing suspension and with minimal sorting it still drives and handles great! It's just as fun to me, if not more, than the big-buck LMs and supercars!

So yeah, give one a shot, and let me know how the '03 version drives as I haven't seen it yet!

Its a shame it develops the same power as stock until about 6000rpm, talk about lag.

Ask all the Portugese players with their Honda's who were eating my SRT-4's dust, that's why they've limited their rooms to 424hp all the time now. Hell, they got smashed by my Citroen C4 initially before I got the SRT-4, and that got beaten by a Volvo C30-R, so add another two cars to the list that will destroy your Honda.

@dudeonacouch - Never said it was the standard for testing and I'm not testing there, I'm racing online there, and at SSR5 & 7, and at Rome.

If you knew how an LSD worked in this game you'd know that 5 initial torque means it locks up right away and is the strongest lsd you can get especially if accel is at max.

Even more fail because that's not the real car. Look up the real car and it has Realtime 4WD and on a dyno that means it loses around 20% horsepower so 800 is easy from 700 whp.

Im glad someone backed me up on this thread about the 700 whp d16z6, no, it doesnt make stock power until 6000 rpms it makes stock power at near idle because it only makes 110 hp stock :)

and yes its running less than 50 psi and makes over 800 brake horsepower and revs to 10k rpms on a stock block and crank

The Ford Focus RS is a fast FF car.
219kw 893kg (no Engine stages or Turbo´s installed just the small ones)

=> major fun
I did a 7:27.XXX on the Nürb with RacingSoft Tires and the Tranny set to 251 kph (little to short for the straights but perfect for the rest of the Track :D

My fully tuned SRT4.

does 221 on Le mans due to bumpy road.

Also did a 7:18.794 at nurburgring on Sports soft

And with a Good tune it will FLY around a track the "proper" way.

Yeah, i've done a best so far of 7:20 around the ring on sports softs (and that's with an SRT-4 with only 512hp). I'm not sure how many other FF can hit that mark on sport softs, but i'll fool around with a few and see what comes close.

Those RM hondas definitely handle well, but do they have the power to keep up...

I prefer a mildy tuned all motor EK9 my self, Great to drive around, a nice responcive car, especially the sound that comes from the Sports exhaust.
