Fastest possible lap - Top Gear Test Track

Could not find this posted elsewhere but I could be blind. Anyways, for kicks I took the Minolta race car around the Top Gear track to see how quick I could get it around.

After a few tries I wound up with 59.787. Since this is faster than anything they have taken around it, it got me wondering, what is the fastest anyone has gone around it in gt5? With anything? No restrictions on car or mods. This was in practice with no other cars on track.

did you cut corners ? U can virtually cut out half the track .

If you cut the track too much your lap will be invalid. :)
If you are really trying to cheat, you might be able to cut some corners just slightly and still avoiding the penalty, but you can't make big time gains in practise when cutting corners..
