Fastest way through?

Wasn't there a thread about the fastest way through GT6 at some point? I know there is one for cheapest but I have some friends in need of getting open lobby unlocked asap and can't find the thread that may or may not exist.

Anybody know?

Shouldn't be too difficult, highest power/pp, highest allowed tires, drive right through the AI if needed. I did platinum using 1 grade lower tires and minimum 50pp less than field with no aids so I'm just guessing it can't be that hard to blow through not trying to challenge yourself.
 
It takes a specific # of stars to unlock the license tests @ each level.

So!

Buy the Fit & run it to get started.
If you have the Anniv. Edition shift to the Focus or buy one & use it to move on.
Just get the stars to unlock the license test, do the tests & move to the next level.
You can skip the 90's Japanese Challenge to avoid buying another car.
Avoid all of the Kart Series, Missions, & Coffee Breaks.

The only downside to this approach is you will amass fewer credits, so having a usable robust stable of cars will become more of a challenge.

Yup I agree on the cars but these guys mainly just want to get online so I can teach them the "correct" way to drive since they're all absolute beginners. Which means those license tests are going to be pretty difficult for them as it is.
 
Make sure you teach them on comfort tires or at the most sport hards, don't have them learning on racing softs no tire wear. Later on they will thank you if they are serious on learning the proper way.

They only need to trophy the license tests, gold is not required to become licensed and unlock the next level.

I would also recommend they use an alternate ID to learn on, then use the new skills with their primary ID so they can get all the prize cars, etc.
