Once you turn down the traction control (I've gone down to 2) the Ford Gt and Nissan-GTR are so much easier to drive, I've now completed all but the Japanese series in A class, thanks to these two cars.

The Ford Gt just has so much power I absolutely love it, it smashes all the other cars in the muscle car class. Great sound too, feels very powerful.

I only just acquired the Ferrari F430, have only had one drive but my god it's gorgeous especially from the interior view. Can't wait to take it back through some of the events I've already completed.

In no particular order:

- F2007
- Ford GT LM II Test Car
- Blitz Dunlop Skyline
- Ferrari F40

1. E92 M3
2. Wrx Sti Spec C
3. F430
4. 350z
5. SL 55AMG

1. BMW 1-Series tii (Nice way to go sideways)
2. Subaru Impreza STi '07 (My workhorse)
3. Honda Integra Type-R (That noise !)

All with NO AIDS and in PRO mode.

By the way, I've only just started the game so I only have these cars plus:

Lotus Elise 111R (haven't really had a good go at this car, but it has really bad lift-off oversteer)
Skyline R34 Standard
New GT-R (Bit disappointing, sounds like a Merc S500 auto)
Suzuki Swift Sport / Tuned
Lexus IS-F (8 spd . . . . why ?)
That dodgy little JPN toy car thing that you can't sell (what is the point of cars like this in a game like this ?)

Oh, and HELLO. This is my first post but I've been playing GT for 11 years now and I thought it was time to share my inner-geek.

Gary.

Gary.

Adjust toe so that you don't have to liftoff :) Serious negative in front and some positive on the rear. Also lower it some. It will make the big oversteers very snappy, but most oversteers (like liftoff and weak powerslides) are easy and fun to control! The 111R is my new favorite! It's a gokart! You can even tune it to compete seriously in the S-class PP700 races! It falls behind the GT LM Spec II of course, but really can't be overtaken in corners.

Mine favorites so far:
Ferrari F430 :sly:
Nissan GTR

Dont like:
Elise 111R :nervous:
Ford GT :scared:

1 = Corvette z06 Tuned
2 = Ferrari 599
3 = Subaru Impreza WRX sti 07
4 = BMW M3
5 = Honda NSX Type R 02

The tuned Corvette is awesome to drive!

But the true favourite cars come from favourite moments... I love the Evos because the first car i drove in the Gran Turismo series was the Evo 2.

1- TVR speed six...that is one nice sounding car!
2- NSX-R very good handling dynamics
3-Subaru WRX Sti Spec RA- The better looking of the two subarus, good handling, decent power
4-Integra R- love the sounds and deceptivley quick, take this car, do a hot lap at Eiger, save the ghost, and try to beat it with other vehicles, you will be surprised..

3. Art Morrison Corvette. An American classic that's brought up to date, and can hang with Ferraris. 'Nuff said. Most gorgeous car in the game, imo.

Just bought one tonight... such a satisfying and demanding ride, especially on S tires! Drives like a really good rFactor mod (as does the '76 Ferrari).

Evo X, 350Z, BMW M3, RX-8, etc.... You get the trend.

I am not a fan of those real fast cars for some reason.

dont know if its just me but i was so looking forward to the R35 but i find it very sterile and dissapointing. Not that it's not fast and bloody powerful, it just doesnt make the right noises or do the righ things to make me excited!

So my choices are:

CorvetteZ06
Evo9 Tuned
Mazda Rx7
F430
Bmw M3

For me so far its the BMW 1 Series Concept Tii, its pretty quick, feels light, nimble and skittish, and thats all part of what makes it fun to drive! You gotta be gentle on the throttle but when you get it right its a very rewarding machine.

at the moment:

1. Integra Type-R
2. NISSAN GT-R
3. EVO IX
4. Crapuccino!
5. Mazda RX-8

Man i need to get more cars!

Lotus Elise 111R Tuned. But damn I really want those two tuned Lancers!

Corvette Z06
Ferrari F40
Ferrari F2007( Love it but hate it down the straights as it rumbles my cockpit apart):nervous:
BMW M3 Coupe
Mines Skyline.

Amuse Honda S2000.
Why? Because it smokes all other cars mentioned in this thread on the high Speed course.
I haven't driven against the black ford gt test car for a while, but to my recollection that is about the only car that can beat it, I think.
On ovals it's a whole different ballgame offcourse, but I have fallen in love with High Speed track. Please do not use any weak car online. But I guess the people who drive weak cars online are the ones that are not on this thread and know nothing about the game saves!
A friend of mine also got this game yesterday. I also told him about this great community and he will probably join soon.

Haha you sound like those characters from intial D who all think that only the powerful cars are good and crummy old cars like the AE86 are worthless. Some of us like driving weaker cars and driving them to the limits to beat people who drive faster cars and seeing their reactions :dopey:

And people probably do know about game saves, they just choose not to use them as tehy wish to play them game their way, buy their own cars in their own colours, tune the cars the way the want and race the races and earn the money themselves. It not always about having the most powerful car, and FYI, my F2007 would smoke your Honda easy :sly:

Haven't got a huge range of cars yet, but anyway (no real order)

Corvette Z06. Just, such a brute, brilliant fun to manhandle around.
F430. The noise, the poise.
M3. Don't feel I've spent much time with this beauty yet (same with the Tii). Trying to Gold Eiger TT should solve that.
R8. Drove it a fair bit last night. Surprised me how nice it was, feels quick and nimble.
Integra Type-R. Like the noise :)

The GT-R '07 just doesn't inspire me.

Can't wait to drive:
Art Morrison Corvette
The rest of the Ferrari's
The DB9
The XK8
The TVRs
Ford GT
Vipers

I just beat Chessmaster XI on grandmaster level by using a save game.

I couldn't have said it better, I just can't wait for GT5 to drive the AE86 again. And with the tuned cappuccino its realy gonna have that initial D feeling.

The Prancing horse F430....Ive been "quick tuning" this and im getting very close to the tuned Lotus times posted on line.
Second any of the Subaru's I used to drive a classic but now own a golf 130 gt tdi. Miss the scoob so much Ive ordered a game racer seat and a G25 wheel. Much cheaper on petrol and Insurance...LOL
The BMW concept...lots of fun and good races online!

I agree completely, it handles nicely and you have to really push it to get good times out of it. Have a look through the time trial times for this car and I'm in at least the top 20 for many of them, just love driving it. And it looks fantastic :D

Other than the BMW, my other favourite out of the very limited number of cars I own is the F430, because it's as challenging as the BMW, just faster!

OFF Topic. STJ88, is your avatar pic a rendering of what a R35 GTR V-Spec would look like? It looks sweet.:)
