i try to go through series in the right cars (JGTC cars it the JGT championship Etc.) and do my best. Afterwards I go back and "cleap up" with an F1(make sure there are all golds). but other than that i don't really use the F1 for actual races.
thats the only series i use them in. i also find that if you always use f1 cars at the end of the game you will discover cool (usually slower but funner) prize cars you have never used and think why didnt i use that in so and so series. i guess its fun to fool around with the f1s once in a while but i pretty much stick to reg. cars.

That's pretty much my thinking, as far as I'm concerned, you've not done 100% until you've driven 1 of every car in the game and got some miles on them. I like to do the 3 single race championships in 3 different cars, not the same one over & over.
True, you need to earn some serious cash early on, e.g. by doing PD Cup first in the RX-8 or Nissan Z concept you get for Gold-ing licence tests, but that isn't much good as advice to a beginner and isn't the way I did it 1st time round either!
Practice makes perfect, and F1 cars in the lightweight cup don't really encourage perfect now, do they?!!!
