I really like my ovation, it's not the greatest sounding guitar ever, but it is super easy to play and just feels really nice. I've played some pretty expensive guitars at shops, but my little electric gibson is still my favorite one of those also.
Guitars are one thing that the "you get what you pay for" just doesn't apply at all. It's all about how the guitar feels in your hands, with all of the electronics out there today, you can make almost any piece of junk sound great. Well anything except the fender bass I have. That thing has just never sounded good at all.
