Sometimes grinding is just so dammed boring, and online may not be your thing.
So what's the best race to compete in to have a fun competitive race?
Please list the car, any modifications including tyres, and of course, the race itself.

Personally I like to do an FGT race at Suzuka or Fuji with Racing hard tyres.
But sometimes don't have enough time or can't be bothered to do a 20 lap race.

European series - A spec level 22 - MONZA - Ferrari 430 scuderia, sports soft tyres, 620bhp, minimum weight, custom suspension, full racing exhaust.

In this race I have two options, I can 'grip drive' and enjoy the car's handling and that simply superb howl of a noise it makes, or I can be a hooligan, go much harder on the accelerator and do insane 3rd gear powerslides through most of the corners.

Either way, I'm getting 90,000 credits and 8,000 experience points, and unlke online, the tyres don't wear out after 4 laps, so it's just 5 laps of sheer heaven.

Please don't say grip drive, it sounds so need for speed. It's called racing, or drifting.

I don't grind A-spec, so I only do races when I feel like racing, the only grinding I do is B-spec, I know the money is bad but I still manage to have plenty of money and if I really wanted more badly I'd just cheat.

Sorry, not really an NFS player, what is grip drive?

Super GT extreme - Suzuka GP - Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R (SUPER GT) '08 (Stock)

The AI are just at the perfect level for me to have a great fight for the top 3.

Lupo Cup too. Great fun on an awesome track.

I also love the European on level 22 but not as much as the Lupo one.

The 2 lap Nascar on the seasonal has been run a few times too. On ALL of my accounts. I set up 3 extra just to play it more and still get something for it.

Oh yeah.... Historic with a Ferrari P4 330. Close racing with awesome looking machines.

My XJ220 LM on the Dream Car Indy race - I can mix it up really well with the XJR-9 and the black GT... never sure who's gonna win those ones!

When I get bored I don't do races, I do time trials. I use a Mclaren f1 (aids off, but ABS on 1) on Nurburgring GP/F and try to beat my top time. My best is about a 1:51.5

I enjoy driving the cars so I don't really get bored, saying that if you want some decent cash for a fun outlay it is hard to look past the DTM 1 lap race at the Nurburgring, great cars, great circuit 99000.

I like the GT Allstars races, good cure when bored. I must have done them over a 15 times in the last 2 months with different cars.

Did an SLS AMG Stealth vs fully tuned R-35 on Suzuka the other day (I'm the SLS). The car is so fun to drive and fast too. The competition was pretty even too, quite a few position changes but the other guy went off on degner 1 and I had the lead from there. One of the best, no, the best race I've had in a while, would definitely recommend it.

"grip drive" means actually drive normal instead of sliding all around the place like a figure skater.

I've had way too much fun with a specially prepared Honda Odyssey in the Tuning Car Championship's Daytona Road Course race. It's some shade of orange, and is the envy of soccer moms nation-wide.

The 430 Scuderia is so nice to drive! That was the first Ferrari I bought, and love driving them :)

I have a ton of fun at the DTM Nurburgring GP 8-lap event. Stock Lexus ISF Racing Concept on Racing Hard tires. The ISF Racer has the power advantage but also weighs more than a typical DTM car. The 8-lap event is just long enough to win while racing nice and clean and the AI in the event has their stuff together more than some lower level events. Exciting race from the cockpit view with a DFGT.

I love to just go Arcade with a stock Garaiya, sports soft, professional.
Gives you a good race with any stock car as it gives you cars of a comparable Power:Weight ratio.
I THINK, but i havent looked you can do the old gag of setting your tyres to race hard or something, then switching to sports soft/hard before the race so your competitors will be on better tyres to make it more difficult.

I enjoy recording lap times on the Top Gear Test Track when I'm tired of racing the AI... I've amassed quite a collection of cars now (around 300) and it's fun to compare the different handling traits of different cars and how the more powerful cars cope on Comfort Sort Tyres! :)

LOL

So you're going to tell Keiichi Tsuchiya he's a need for speed player because he always uses this same terminology..???

LO LOL LOL

I've been doing the Polyphony Digital Cup over and over with different but underpowered/stock cars. My last attempt was to tackle the 3 races with a fully tuned Nissan Micra/March at 233 BHP. That was fun.

The competition there is quite fun and one can drive many different types of cars to compare their lap times and performance. I've memorized my best section times on each track. My next attempt will be to win the PD Cup with a stock Honda NSX and after that I will try it with my fully tuned Spoon CR-Z at 246 BHP. And after that I have many more cars I am gonna try like the everyday Citroën cars and so forth.
