Favourite thing in GT6 so far?

I played for 13 hours today...The game is soooo much better than GT5! The two biggest improvements are the physics and the A-spec. I am enjoying the game immensely and I am hugely excited to see how the game evolves in the coming months!

Same paint system but at least we get a paint preview option - did not paint very many cars in GT5 - will paint more in GT6.

Wheel selection is far better and can even change wheel sizes.

Loving the Goodwood events. Golded the first 9. The sense of speed and the narrowness is the track has me on the edge of my seat.

The UI is much better. I've yet to explore everything but maybe I did miss something. Has anyone found the music library where I can check out the song list and remove those I don't like?

Honestly... I love the fact that we can preview the paint choices before buying!

And thanks to the Anniversary edition, I don't even need any more paints :P

Can't wait to try the Vision GT Mercedes, and see all the other Vision GT cars. If you click on the manufacturers, you can see sketches of what they're working on :D

Amateur cup race, saw a vw gti taking a tight line through a corner and hammered the break to the point where the insider rear wheel raised 4 inches off the ground... I've never seen a car flex so much it lifted a single wheel in a game...

Haha yea. I was at Grand Valley on one of the earlier races and a Mazda 6 in front of me hit his brakes so hard, both his back wheels were like a foot in the air haha.

Yea game is incredibly good so far.

- As everyone else has said, the sense of weight and body roll in the cars is fantastic. Really feels like you're wrestling some fat RWD hog round a corner.

- Soundtrack is awesome from everything I heard. From the little Rock tune when loading into a race to the fun dance bit after the race during the confetti (I find myself dancing in my chair every time this plays). All the songs I recognize from old GT games. The menu music having a great mix of the classic GT jazz to some real chill ambient sort of tracks.

-The UI seems pretty good so far. Only complaint is I guess there not being a menu shortcut during the license tests to go to the next one.

- Goodwood events are fun. Nothing too hard yet but the fastest cars have been the easiest oddly lol. Anything with street tires is a death trap.

- Tire sound effects are pretty good. A wide range of tone from the screeching. Someone can probably only appreciate it when using a wheel that lets you turn smoothly and not like an on/off switch of a joystick. Also the sound effect when you dip a tire off into the dirt/sand looking stuff and the noise of rocks and crap hitting the undercarriage.

- Night time lighting is great. Haven't seen too much of it yet.

- The career progression seems great so far. Been doing everything all Golds so far. Just got too National A tier.

Overall yea I just find myself grinning from awesome stuff. The game still has the usual lack of specific features we're all already aware of. They seemed to mess with the rim selection.. added some good ones (with some actual offset) but also seem to have lost a bunch and they filled it in with all those generic "GT" rims that all kinda suck.

Oh wow, where do I begin? First off, the physics! I can really tell Kaz has done his homework with this one. I love the new physics model! I think PD nailed it! I have made it past the Jr. Carts in career mode and I am geeking not only at what I'm feeling, but what I am seeing out of the cars I'm racing against! And their actions! I tried blocking one of the AI going for the win, and he had none of it! He turned me into the wall! I was cursing and grinning ear to ear at the same time!

I went to Arcade mode and ran a race on Daytona's oval with the 2011 BMW M3 GT '11, and had quite a fun race with some other closely matched cars! It really reminded me of NASCAR's days at Daytona and Talladega about 5-10 years before the restrictor plate came!

The sense of speed is raw and surreal with how the surroundings just get lost in a blur! And again! The physics! Despite having a capable car for the track, I had to hold on to the thing as a couple of bumps on the banks caused me to break loose! I've never had to catch a car on Daytona's banks before!

Also, the general ambiance at Daytona is something beautiful to behold, save for a few glitches here and there. The lighting effects as the sun dips down in the horizon and finally under is just beautiful.

Then there's the replays. They're so much more lively and dynamic than in GT5, and I had to ask myself a couple of times if I was watching the real thing!!! Oh, and actually seeing a flag man wave the checkered flag is a very welcome touch.

Then there's the Daytona road course! If you want to run at a joint that is spooky and intimidating then run that course at night in the full wet. Very daunting!

And then there's Mount Panorama! I am so glad to finally lay down some laps there! Even if right now I get around that track about as well as Tony Stewart gets around to eating a salad, lol.

The soundtrack is also great! I came in expecting to hook myself up to my own tunes or shut them off but I really dig the selection thus far!

tl;dr: I LOVED GT5 but GT6 blows it completely out of the water!

Lots of things. What keeps jumping out at me is the picture quality. I have a 110" (over 9') front projector and if something is amiss, you can tell right away. It looks so good I can't see the PS4 improving it much.

How are the jaggies? GT5 was pretty bad on 42", tried everything to get rid of them. Is GT6 better?
While racing there is less jaggies imo....on the cars at least. The fencing and things like that still have it but the game is beautiful. I have a 47" LED and I am OCD about it. I consider the jaggies acceptable with sharpness set at around 40....all other enhancing options off. The cars are stationary in the garage so there is none there like in GT5. In gallery it is minor at best.

Really enjoying the improved tyres and suspension, feels like a step in the right direction from GT5 for sure. Also really liking the way the dealership is done now, no used cars to mess about with, just buy what you want when you want it.

In effect, it seems like we have all the cars in-game at our disposal - as if the dealers are holding our collections for us; all we have to do is buy them as we actually need them. I can't imagine anyone buying twenty cars at once - you need a particular car, you go buy it, ruin it, race it, whatever, then put it away before you go looking for fresh meat.

That was a major improvement, or change (if one wants to look at it that way) and a restructuring of the whole 'collecting' ethic. Now it seems like I don't have to get OCD about collecting. I have it all. Already.

For the moment it doesn't seem credits are entirely out of reach either - as it was in GT5 Version 1.00. GT5 Version 2.15 broke the credit system. As to whether GT6 will get it right remains to be seen.

Designing game-play is not your everyday grocery shopping trip. IIRC, when the inventor of Monopoly presented the game to Parker Bros, they found over 50 game 'flaws' in it, and it had to be restructured for 'playability'.

I'm liking the new GT Auto features, the lack of a UCD (the biggest problem in GT5 for me is never finding that one car I always wanted, no more), and the better laid out career mode.

So far I've had a lot of fun with Goodwood. I thought it was pretty cool when it was first announced but I didn't think too much of it. But wow, it's pretty addicting...

My favorite has to be the career mode depth. There are many events this go around plus seasonals, Missions, coffee breaks etc, just to name a few. I am feeling good about GT6. The future is looking bright from my stand point. DLC will really push this along until GT7 hits. The only thing I don't like so far is the payouts for events.

The right kinds of payout are crucial to proper game play. Too much too soon, and it gets boring. Not enough and too much hard work, and it becomes a drag. This is a part of the gameplay that's 'invisible' (unlike graphics, for instance) or cannot be felt right away (like handling.) Only time will tell if they got it right this time.

Obviously with the real dollar coming into play, Richie Rich will have no problem just dabbling if they wish.
But there is no satisfaction in that - not the kind that hard-core gaming gives one.

I love the goodwood festival, is a great place to test cars and that alpine is great. The new physics are just awesome and along with that is the toyota 2000gt that I bought with the 1million credits on the anniversary edition.

Everything is amazing. The menus are fast and loading times are small.

However, am I missing something? I only have 3 Goodwood events and I don't see a lunar exploration mission.

The Renault Megane Trophy. That car is a beast and has a great sound! I love how the new physics really allow you to push really hard. There have been instances where I pushed to hard and spun out. That hasn't happened to me in a long time.

Also, my favorite thing in GT6 is the FUN it is!

My favorite thing so far is the Ferrari Dino awesome affordable gorgeous Ferrari! I completed the first license grinded about 6 or so races sold all my cars and started over with this car because it's in the 400 pp range. Very happy with this game over all so far, the load times are great using personal BGMs the physics the lighting etc

You'll have to progress your carreer to enter more goodwood events. The same goes for the lunar special event. There are I believe 5 Goodwood tiers, with 3 races each. The last one is very, very hard.... :)

I am glad I found this thread as I was thinking of starting a "Praises for GT6" or somesuch thread myself.

I haven't gone through very far yet, and have not read many others posts yet but I have to say this:

We could all go on about what's technically right or wrong with the game and I may agree or disagree with some or all of it, but the best part about it for me is that it feels like a GT game again (where GT5 felt the least like one out of them all). It actually takes me back to the feeling (in a way) of the first game, which to this day was the best experience of them all, the one that for me defined the feel, the "GT" if it all. I am enjoying that feeling immensely right now and hope it lasts.

Really like the qualifying online. Gets pretty exciting as you see the times tumbling one right after another as you're just about out of time.

I'm very surprised how much I'm enjoying the game overall.
Even the little things like the timed races make the game feel more interesting.
Need to take another stab at the 1 liter eco challenge.

Kudos to PD

Racing on Apricot Hill at night is truely breathtaking & the replays make rewatching gameplay a must. I'm also getting a nostalgic GT4 vibe with the remixed menu music which brings back awesome memories. The little touches here & there are truely making this game hard to turn away from. I just cant stop playing.
