I've got FEAR Combat, I enjoy it a lot. Its pretty damn good for free! I use the G2A2 Assault Rifle, its fire rate and stopping power make it just about perfect for my style of play. Unarmed is fun too

I'm currently running FEAR with a PowerColour Radeon 9550 256mb with settings on low-mid at 800*600. Framerate is fine, 50-60 fps I'd say. You'll be able to run it, it just depends on your preference of graphical options.
Bear in mind that FEAR does still look great even on low graphics settings, and it looks fantastic on full. Give it a go, download the demo and see how it runs.
Me, I'm buying a 7600GT AGP 256mb so I can enjoy some of the better settings of the game.

id try the demo, but, ive no clue how long itd take to download @ 24k ...

Your RAM and processor are more than adequate, nothing to worry about there.
