I thought I would have it under my X mas tree in 2003, no were ending 2004 still no GT4.

Pd sucks on that point, if they release a game with nothing so ASTONISHING as they promise they'll get flame by the community Fo sho.(been playing GTA for too long)
 
It's annoying me but I still want it just as much as I did 6 months ago.

BTW- What is the latest release date? Gotta tell the parents when they need to get it. :sly: :sly:
 
As long as the delay is for game polishing/bug correcting and not for marketing reasons, I don't care much. I hope they'll refine engine sounds: I'm currently playing Need for speed Underground 2, and while it is pretty much an arcade game, it has among the best (most realistic) engine sounds I ever heard, expecially when you tune your cars. Way better than GT3 and prologue.

This is the only thing that I'm fed up with. Maybe I should just stop reading them.

It's a video game. The world will not end if it gets released a couple months late.

How about ending dead before the release date, in a car accident or whatver, that will really suck, imagine that, waiting for the game 3 years and just before the release date you die, what a nightmare :nervous: 👎 :scared:
 
I'd expect being dead would suck quite a lot on its own, regardless of the date.
 
Its getting beyond a joke now.

Now I know how people who ordered Bugati Veyrons feel. Err without the loads of money n bling bling obviously.

Yeah I agree with Famine... if you're worried about missing a videogame when you die you probably need to get going on other things in life! :)

Someone in the HL2 mentioned release date as a factor, and I completely agree. If GT4 had come out in December my socks would be on fire and I'd be on it all Xmas break. Now I'll have had loads of fun playing online on Forza and (exteriorly) modifying my cars for several months, and I'll be playing baseball and gearing up for finals. :(

EDIT and oh yeah, I think I will be psyched about it coming closer to release again but every time I get less and less sure about if the game is really going to be released. I'll be excited but I mentioned halfway through baseball season and preparing for final exams, that means I've got less time to be really ready for GT4.
 
Play MGS3, Killzone, Halo 2, Ace Combat 5, GTA:SA and Burnout 3 in the mean time you whiny little whelps.

I am sorta fed up with the constant delay of GT4, but I can wait for it. It at least give me more time to play and enjoy other games such as Metal gear Solid 3. I dont like trying to play like 2-3 games at a time. :O
 
Gran Turismo 4 is now a game I look forward to hearing about from news and stuff but I dont expect it to ever come out.

Fed up with delays? Answer the thread "GT4 Worth It" or whatever it's called. I'm sick of the delay, but I'm not whining about it. Like Lady McLaren said:

The Moderators may have to crack down on threads like this concerning issues like this. Either that, or GTPlanet may need a SWAT team to shield threads like this.
 
I've waited for My BMW on order for 10 months ,I don't think a game will be much harder to wait for
 
Well I for one would like them to finish the game before releasing it. It's not like they delay the game on purpose. They just don't want to release an unfinished product and I don't want to buy an unfinished product.
 
Okay, it should be out in time for Christmas this year.
However, you can't tell met that when they missed the spring, summer and autumn tentative release dates that you didn't know in your gut that it would be released just in time for Christmas...
ONe of the best marketing ploys in the world.
Plus, the other awesome expected games, (GTA:San Andreas, Ace Combat 5, Halo2, etc.) are already out, and will be getting a bit stale when GT4 comes out.
Again, great marketing strategy...

A product, any product, can endlessly be tweaked, it can be a failure of the management to guess a release date as its over 18 months delayed, repeated delays, and lacking features, hardly good team work. Can be a marketing thing, who knows, but its not fun to be in the dark.
 
Man I understand the need to express your thoughts on a 2+ year delay....but do we really need a thread about it? GT4 will be born when it's fine and ready. Or in this case, when PD and KY are.
