I think they have to remove something more so we will have 3 GT4 releases :)

GT4 (what they promised for the last years)

To start this off,I would like to say, hello everyone! I have returned ^.^! *pounces all the random people he once knew on here, like AGES ago o.O* Anyways,hehe...I just heard about the delay ONCE MORE again today ;_;. I am NOW looking forward to just buying the Japanese Version instead of actually waiting for a domestic release >_>;. US release is supposed to be like Feb. 3 or something like that and Japanese release is like the 28th of December,soooooo...more than likely,I'm just going to import it along with Gundam: Never Ending Tomorrow,Hajime no Ippo 2: Championship Road, and Dear Boys this Christmas =^.^=! Well...other than saying I am a little bit upset once more about the delay..I'll get over it,like I always do and just say to myself once more,"Oh well...it's better than coming out with a game that looks like they gave a half-a** effort on XD"! By the way..it's good to be back minna~! *waves*

I have had mine on preorder since August 2003, and as much as I hate these pushed back dates, I know GT4 will be here eventually. And I know (based on previous releases) the KY is a perfectionist and so I'm fairly confident that the extra time is indeed needed to get the game just as he wants it, perfect. Plus, 2 months after it comes out, we will all have forgotten all the time we spend angry at these pushed back dates, I bet.

Solid Lifters
Play MGS3, Killzone, Halo 2, Ace Combat 5, GTA:SA and Burnout 3 in the mean time you whiny little whelps.

actually...don't play killzone. :scared:

that would make the wait more excruciating.

Really? i thought he was being sacrastic, hmmm

Only in part was I being sarcastic.
Before I went to nursing school, I majored in public relations and took quite a few marketing courses as a part of that.

You kind of have to admire the "ethics" of PD. Instead of giving us an unfinished game with add-on features, with the attendant add-on prices, we wait (and wait, and wait, and wait) and get the game with all the crap we want in it for one price.
In the end it will prove to be PR/Marketing "genius".

okay. I don't know who is being sarcastic anymore.

-"Oh look, it's that cannonball dude. He's cool."

-"Dude, are you being sarcastic?"

-"I don't even know anymore."

While the second paragraph really does sound sarcastic. It mostly (90%) isn't.
While I'm tired of waiting for GT4, I'd really rather have a complete game with all the online stuff, and replay stuff intact and readt to run.
It would truly suck to have to buy "expension packs" to make the game do all the cool stuff.

Just a FYI here is all....
Was reading the Monday edition of USA today newspaper and they had a small article on the Trade/Game show in Japan from a few weeks ago and they (USA Today) even indicated the release date of Dec. 14th....

Makes me start to wonder 'just when is this game coming out?'

i just dont think about it. i dont even follow the dates anymore, i will focus on it when it comes out and no sooner

I don't bother searching for new info anymore... I'm still excited about the game but much much less than I was now that I know it's not going to be out for another half a year!!

I'd like to see it released as a perfect, well worked out game, and I also don't see the point of complaining about delays (can't do anything about it), but I think it's utter nonsense that they've managed to consistently mis-judge release dates by incredible amounts...

I know it's comming and that's good enough for me. Besides MGS 3 is out before it, pretty good substitute if you ask me.

I'm gonna have to go get NFSU2 in the meantime. Got the first one for Christmas last year and was kinda, "uh...thanks," since I'm not a big fan of the whole "rice" scene. After a couple days though I decided to give it a try, and what an incredibly fun game! Haha, can't wait to try out 2 :D

Weeks ago is late, whats up with you?
Hey dork...why don't you try reading!
I said I was reading the NEWSPAPER....Monday's edition (November 22nd 2004) of USA TODAY and it was they who wrote the article and it was they who indicated the release date of Dec. 04'

So, regardless of when the event in which the article was written about actually occured, a MAJOR newspaper has indicated a specific date for the release of the game...However, I undertand that 'maybe' their resource for information maybe inaccurate, but in any case, this is the first time I've seen a printed article indicating a specific release date!

As for me, I can wait until either Dec, Jan or even Feb or next year for the U.S. version to come out...as I do have other games to keep my occupied..

Now, in closing, let me just say this:

GOD it's amazing how many ignorant people post on this board!

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

I think some of us need to calm down before bad things happen. The more we complain, the more frustrating it gets whenever you think about GT4. Just my tip! :O 👍

I voted for that it made me a little less anxious for the game. But i'm kind of in between choice 2 and choice 3. I mean GT4 isn't my life, but I was pretty pissed about the delay. But when the real release comes around...i'll be just as excited as a was a week ago before the delay.

Every time i hear that the game has bee ndelayed it definitally turns my excitment down a notch, but once i here good news (like when teh game was supposidly finished) that peaked it agin, I'm sure by the acutal release i'll rushing to the store to play it first hand

As I say, what would a GT fan do when another GT game is in the works? You race a GT game you already have. As I said, I have all three GT games, and I can go back to any one of them, even if I want to see how cool dark red look on a Jaguar XJ220 (GT3), how nice the view of the final tunnel at Grand Valley (GT2) before that view was blocked off by walls, and how I actually liked SSR11 in GT1 more than GT3's version (I didn't like the 90-degree corners under the start/finish freeway, but I'll take it). So if you have a PS2, I'd recommend adding the other GT games to your collection so you can play them to see where the series went. Then after you "level up" your GT experience, you can get a sense as to what GT is like and what the next GT4 will bring to devoted fans.

But that's if you want to REALLY get into the series. Of course, my recommendations. Accept or decline per your request.

I actually liked SSR11 in GT1 more than GT3's version (I didn't like the 90-degree corners under the start/finish freeway, but I'll take it).

I liked the GT1 version better too, especially those funky corners under the straight away!

To those who argues the delays(GT4) are justified, because P.D. has to fine tune the game to make sure it's perfect, it was supposed to be released "perfect" last year.

I guess that I am fortunate enough that my continued existence on this ball of mud does not depend entirely upon the release of GT4 (unlike apparently many here) :dopey:

Looking at new pictures and videos is entertaining enough though...

And even with that super-tight 90-degree section, I would have liked a straightaway so that the little Bus Stop chicane doesn't get to be a pain in the butt. Even a GT veteran like myself screwed up there at times. So while it's there in GT1, you need to be more careful while you're flying through there. In GT1, there wasn't too much in the way of variety. Sure, there were 11 car companies, but nothing like a lot of Kei cars, Le Mans-winning sportscars, and such, so you couldn't race varying types of vehicles around GT1's tracks. About the slickest-looking machine was the Castrol Supra GT. When I first heard its engine at idle (not to be funny) I thought it was farting or something. Its performance is no joke though my weapon of choice was the Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO.

Had GT2's cars and such raced GT1's tracks, you'd have a lot of cars, but not a lot of tracks to have fun on. Put GT1 cars and physics in GT2, no offense, but the drifting and insane horsepower would be more fun than in the actual GT2. I would have liked more night racing in GT2, but the only true night courses are the Easter Egg Rome-Night and Special Stage Route 5. That's right, my friends. No SSR11 in GT2.

So if you have a chance, pick up the GT games you don't have yet. And don't worry about price. Why so? Three GT games, and all three are "Greatest Hits," with GT4 to eventually follow suit. So hit up a Wal-Mart or something and get the GTs you don't have. If you have a PS2 but don't have GT3, get that because to me, GT3 is basically a Prologue to GT4, since the game was rushed around the time it was out. Go get them!

yes, if its in the mainstream media, it must be true.

Whether it is or not, I was merely pointing out the fact that this was the first time I had seen any specific date mentioned somewhere else other then on some internet web site!

I'm not to miffed about it on the contrary. I could really care less I got other games to keep me occupied and like other people say it's not the end of the world, because it's delayed a couple of months.

I find it's actually better the more they delay it. It build up your anticipation for the game. Just like your mouth watering in anticipation of a tasty scrumptious confection. It's no different than that. Half the fun is getting there (no car pun intended).

Oh and I agree with the games people mentioned to keep us busy. Don't forget Resident Evil 4 on the Cube. That game looks simply amazing!! I'm not a big RE fan but i'm definetly getting this title. Hell it even has my fave char Leon back! Win-Win there.

Edit: My first post, since I got back about a week and a half ago. Good to be back. Good times, noodle salad...

I used to be a little upset until today, but right after work ( 1 hour from now ) I'll go to the post office and pick the parcel containing Grand Prix legends and Richard Burns rally that I ordered online.
It'll keep me busy at least until june 2005 to master the Old Ring and the old 12km+ Francorchamps track in the Brabham.
