I decided to have our own dedicated thread to the fellowship of Christians. Instead of the FCA for Fellowship of Christian Athletes for a name, I thought the FCR (Fellowship of Christian Racers, beit Gran Turismo, real-life, even if you are or not a fan of cars/racing) would be a good name. :)

A few things that I want in this thread:

1. No debates; make your own thread concerning the topic. I don't want this thread flooded with personal attacks and offenses.

2. I want this thread to be a fun place for all the Christians to come and post things such as praise reports, prayer requests, struggles, church activity, Bible reading/studying, etc.

3. Hebrews 3:13, But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Let's be encouraging and uplifting to one another!

So let's get started fellowshipping :)

Favorite Hymns and/or praise songs? My favorite hymn is http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/w/o/wondergj.htm Wonderful Grace of Jesus.

My favorite praise song is http://www.westover.org/worship/new_songs/HereIAmtoWorshipKenYoung.MID (Midi to it) http://www.worshiparchive.com/worship_chord_sheet.asp?t=song&id=217 (Lyrics) Here I am to Worship :) You Guys?

Please do not try to preach though.

Espcially to me.

But good luck with the thread. :)

Thus why I made sure I wrote at the top "no debates" because that would only lead to a debate :)

Good luck keeping the thread up. Don't expect this thread to live long here. :indiff:

I'll try to help keep the thread up, though. :)

Where do you live? Which denomination are you? What church do you go to?

Me>>Florida, Baptist (I consider myself southern baptist even though I go to a IFBC..I'm only 16) and I attend First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs. :)

independent fundamental baptist here (our church does do fellowship VIA Baptist Bible Fellowship International [BBFI] for missionary support)

by the way, as long as im here, this thread will stay alive :sly:

Preaching was never much fun anyway. Interesting concept here, kinda like starting GTP's own cyber church. Well, I'll join for now. The concept of a no-flaming or debating place where talk about God is untouched is appealing, but I'd run it by Jordan or one of the other mods first (at least it's not the same as that bot that logged on not too long ago and posted this big long whack-with-bible message of salvation). Still, I don't see why it won't fly, and hey, I could use a stress-free environment from time to time. :)

I think most it wont last because of the number of people who are not christian in this forum, or who take a more scientific approach. Also I think it is easy for people of different sects to start arguing. Another question is what is to be said here? You all are of the christian belief so it's not like you'll be proselytizing here. Debates help make internet discussions interesting. What exactly are "praise reports".

I was baptized but I do not practice so I don't think I will be participating in this. One suggestion is that you do reviews of christian drivers.

I'm guessing you'll be racing - presumably in GT3/4 - at some point.

Will you be doing any replay verification, or are members of the FCR above cheating?

!
Bless the person who has posted above you. lol

And since being a Christian doesn't prevent us from having a sense of humour:

May i point out that were Jesus to have a go at Gran Turismo, he would almost certainly favour a 'Skyline'!
:) 👍

No, Jesus would probably pick a Lada or a middle eastern car, but I think Gods' car would be a minivan.

i was thinking about making another thread of christian and non-christian thread where non-christians can ask questions and etc. to christians and vice versa just so the non-christian can be apart too

but for this thread, just for christians since what we fellowship with is shared by christians :)

Please don't do this.

I'm just wondering then...

Where does the "racers" part of this "Fellowship of Christian Racers" come into it all?

I'm curious too.

heard of the fellowship of christian athletes? nationally wide known fellowship of christians. where i went to high school thats what they had for christian fellowships for those at school, they didnt HAVE to be athletes to be apart of it, most actually werent

i just changed it to racers since here at GTP thats why most people came here, to talk about cars/racing/racing games :)

Well, surely that's just a "Fellowship of Christians"?

Right. I'm going to make a group called "The Fellowship of People Called Dave Who Like To Go Fishing." Note that you don't have to like going fishing, or even like fishing, or even like fish, or be called Dave to join.

it was at my school they decided to include anyone, now nationally wide known, the fellowship of christians athletes is a literal fellowship of christian athletes, sorry that i didnt clarify that above

Well in that case YOUR "FCR" is just an "FC" since there is no prerequisite to be a racer. Or even like cars...

sn00pie
I'm not Christian…
Oh, but you're a Christiaan! Just drop that "a" (as you know, I've always thought it was superfluous), and you'll be so in.

Does this mean I can make a Catholic Racers thread full of christians and jews and atheists? Or are only Christians allowed to make pointless threads? (jp)
