Hello
Are there some Ferrari 250 GTO owners or fans?
If yes, then I want to ask if you want to play with me, tell why you bought this car or why are you loving the beauty of a car ;)

Keep racing

I own them both and enjoy driving them ....they are a beautiful sight in my garage. I did however repaint the GTO in a light shade of blue that was available in the day after I found an example in my Ferrari book.

I know that blue 250 GTO i have seen it, but i am not where i believe in Goodwood

Only The best ferraris were the gto badge !
The 599 kind of wrecked that trend though, didn't it? Haha.

The 250 GTO has been one of my favorite cars of all time, if not my favorite. The looks and everything, it's all so good. However, I'm quite frankly sick of the car. Back in the day the 250's and other Ferrari's were very pure, and terrific cars. But I swear to God, the 250 GTO has become more of a symbol of class than it has a car. The rates of the cars at auction are hugely over-inflated and it doesn't make any sense. In 2010 the car sold for $18 million, which is a bit high especially when you consider NART Spiders. Then last October a 250 GTO sold or $52 million. $52 MILLION!!! In the course of less than 4 years the price went up that much and its astronomical in pricing over anything else on the planet. There are either 36 or 39 Ferrari 250 GTO's in the world, don't remember which it was, and yet it sells for explicitly higher amounts than much rarer cars. Overall it seems the 250 GTO has effectively become more a symbol of class than it is a car, which is tragic. The Ralf Lauren type really make my skin crawl...

There are 36 3 litre V12 and 3 series two cars with a four-litre v12 but they do not look really great compared to the three litre version

Yeah I don't know what happened with styling that series ii, it's not near as attractive, but I guess it's probably easier to say that in retrospect.

no its not a typo on the plate of that GTO... it is one of the 3 gtos with a 4l block.
why buy them in game ? cause they are part of the nicest ferrari ever built... the 250 and 330 familly is for me the best of the old cars ; i only ask myself why they allways but 250gto but nearly ever 275gt4/c in games .. that was for me the most beautifull ferrari ever built.

if people want to see a few pics of the 50th aniversary of the GTO in retrombile paris( the 330 pics are at the botom) :

38 or 39 GTOs where built depending on who you talk to ; 32 normal ones; 3 modified cut back version; 1 GTO s/n 4713 is a mix with a GT luiso and GTO , and 3 330 gto ( 4L version ) but there are no 4L cut back 250gto ( by definition )

330gto : as you can see it has a massif bump on the bonnet; round fog lights; and lots more details changed but the car is a 250 in essence. unlike the 275 that is totaly restyled. so it is considered a 250gto ...

250gto : as you can see it has a bump too but kind of not the same size....

to those you need to add the 330 based LM gto here : ( some say 2 others 3 )
at least here are 2 of them

I'm just bought a 250 GTO today, and i farmed money for a while for this...
I love it... Great car, a great legend...
One of my best cars in the game.
The sound is... Ehh... You know...
But i reallized with semi racing exhaust, the sound is not too accurate, but not bad at all time.

Hey please share this Thread to your friends if they are interestet in vintage races or/and the 250 GTO

The 250TR is my favorite classic Ferrari but I certainly appreciate the 250 GTO. I have yet to purchase one in game but it is on the list.

The high prices may be buyers speculating on future value growth but I agree, some of the auction sales are outrageous. It will be interesting to see if they are right and the cars grow to that value.
