Ferrari 308 vs Camry

considering you can get a used 308 for about the same $ as a used newer camry i'd go with the 308, yes insurance and parts might be pricy but at the end of the day you still own a ferrari, plus if you modify the 308 you can go faster, plus the valet will leave it out front for all to see while if you pull up in a camry he'll look at you like your lost and he just puked in his mouth a little. change the toyota from camry to mk4 supra tt and i'll pick the car from the land of the rising sun.

You really don't get into Camry-beating territory in the Ferrari range until you hit the 288 GTO. and subsequent F40.

I think a TR could handle a Camry just fine.

It just goes to show how far automotive technology has come, the Camry is about as bland and boring as it gets, yet it still puts up good performance.

It's not terribly difficult to make cars accelerate faster than cars from 30 years ago. That Camry has 270 hp, which used to be a huge number. It also doesn't change the fact that a Camry is as much fun to drive as a parade float.
