I dont know much about cars but I really like how this car handles, do the newer ferraris handle the same? anyother car that handles like it?

Take it for a spin? Depends on what tires you run... Racing softs will make it tame but it'l still be a bit squirmy. Stock tires... it'l take a bit of concentration. It's fun though.

Racing softs, on a Ferrari! Blasphemy.

As for the OP, it is my second favourite handling Ferrari after the 430 Scuderia.

Lol I didn't know if he did or not, I recommend stock though 👍

Really? IMO it handles completely differently than the Scuderia..

It similar but different, if that makes sense.

The 512 is entertaining on comfort hards, that I can confirm!

I got ya.

I agree completely. It'l keep your hands full.

You might as well get one OP for the Ferrari A Spec races.

so i get the scuderia? is there a way to try this things out before buying em?

There is a selection of cars in arcade mode to try, but in GT life, no.

I'm guessing you haven't done the seasonals yet huh.. I'd send you one Ferrari of your choice but my ps3 is currently out of commision right now.. you can have a friend put it up on share and then borrow it...

Honestly i'd just do the seasonals and buy whatever I want. They have a really high payout.

oh thanks. ill go check if they have it when i go on in a bit.

I have done the seasonals. I just dont play those 2 much as I spend most my time finishing A-spec.

It's a high style of play to put racing tyres on your Ferraris...

As for Ferrari 512, the car is behind the latest mainstreams such as the F430 and F458 in my criteria of taste, but it's recommendable for those yet unaccustomed to taking leash of them. ;)

In real life this was a poorly designed car which placed a heavy V12 engine directly over the rear axle. Even Ferrari aficionados have little good to say about it.

It's an OK car, but there are better models. The 458 is pretty popular.

I believe there's a license test involving it.

I thought it was a flat 12...

Yes I believe it's a boxer.

To the OP, remember that this car is approaching 40 years old so there is a massive difference in technology between that and newer cars.

I like the 512 it's a good classic drive. I think mainly because it's not overpowered. It wont match modern supercars or even sports cars without serious tuning of course.

The new Ferraris are blisteringly fast and have precise handling. For me the 458 is a good all rounder.

I got it for my birthday ticket, and did use it quite a bit back then. I was in my sfr, racing soft days. I'll have to pull it out and get her a go "raw" (abs on 1 only) as i call it now.

512BB isn't really a boxer engine, despite what Ferrari called it. It's actually the Ferrari Daytona V12 engine spread out to a 180 degree angle.

As far as the car goes, it's one of my favorite. With a bit of fiddling, you'd be hard pressed to note that it's 35 years old, because it handles quite well. It's also always been one of my favorite Ferrari designs for a long time (albeit not as nice as the 365 GT4 BB and definitely inferior to the Testarossa), and PD really did it justice in GT5.

One of my favourite cars aswell. The newer ferraris are quite different animals with so much more advanced technology, but I think the NSX-R handles quite similarily to the 512bb. You should also give the Miura a spin, a very beautiful car aswell and tons of fun to drive.

The biggest problem was they wanted a short wheelbase like the Miura but unlike the Miura, which had a V12 in a transverse position, they went for a longitudinal layout with the gearbox placed below the engine (and therefor they made the engine 'flat' but indeed it's not a boxer despite its name suggesting it) so the centre of gravity was higher and resulted in a bit of a tricky car to drive on the limit.

No need of racing softs , waiste , try stock tires on the license Ic 10 (not sure), all ads off except ABS on 1 and you will enjoy :)
