I have owned both but I traded the f1 and got scammed with my enzo :(

But which one do you prefer

Looks

Speed

Handling

Overall

Rate in this order please

Easy: BOTH!

I have them both and they're both great. Make sure you add the aeros to the McLaren to make it look like the F1 LM.

Looks - I prefer the McLaren F1. Mine is matte black and I added the aero kits of course.

Speed - The Enzo is better for drag racing. I think that's its only advantage. The McLaren F1 corners much faster and will dominate the Enzo on just about every track.

Handling - Definitely the McLaren F1. The Enzo is retarded and suffers from understeer, and you still have to be gentle on the throttle when coming out of a corner otherwise it will whip its ass around it fairly hard. The McLaren F1 just has oversteer, and it brakes much better.

Overall - The Enzo is only worth getting if you have a 2002 ticket. Don't waste 1 million credits on it. It is one of the most underwhelming cars while the McLaren F1 is far more iconic and the best performing production car in the game. It's funny how in real life the 430 Scuderia gets similar lap times to the Enzo, despite the former having far less power.

F1, all day every day, no discussion about it! I honestly believe that the F1 was the first real, true production "super car".

The F40 also wants a word...

McLaren, all the way, except looks...

With the Enzo, paint it a very deep black and put the Rear spoiler on it. Black rims. Looks like a Batmobile, or an FXX.

I do find the McLaren a bit... unstable. But that may just be my tuning issue. It tends to slide around everywhere if you even go close to 60% throttle.

Go for the McLaren F1, but it's possibly the hardest car to drive in GT5 (without aids including ABS because F1 doesn't have it).
Enzo is...just, I mean it's great but it's nowhere on F1's level, not even close. F430 Scuderia is much better than Enzo.

Still, I own 4 F1s and 2 Enzos, just saying. 👍

Yev

...and this car would like to have a word with you. :)

I agree the mclaren is a tough car to handle...and IMO the Enzo is nothing special. 50/50

The above car is what you should go for if you want a challenge, I think it's THE hardest car in the game.

I love my Enzo but I have the Maclaren F1 Stealth and it is just outstanding,I don't know if there is a difference in the regular Maclaren and the Stealth model but it just dominates most every race I've used it in.:)

I prefer the enzo over the F1, F1 is let down with oversteer and needing to be mentally focused at all times to go fast. Enzo is naturally fast and understeer is not too bad with fixed sports kit easy to drive fast and I beat the F1's times with it np's.

I have to say F1 because of only 1 important reason - the F1 can steer at high speeds, while the Enzo cant - even with racing softs..... all stays same... so F1 just because of that

The F1 in every category...The Enzo was one of my biggest financial mistakes as I originally played through A-spec as I was unable to compete with other super cars let alone race cars in the Enzo. I bought it figuring it would dominate...:yuck: I bought the F1 a bit later and it was the car that I won the GT Championship, Like the Wind, and the Dream Car Championships in. I've posted some of my best times in the F1, but I've NEVER ran anything close to a perfect lap with it. It's just got that much potential to go really fast through corners and straights while still being very demanding and pretty touchy.

Err, the Muira is widely accepted as being the 1st 'Supercar', and there are a whole heap of other 'supercars' that come between the Muira and the McLaren F1.

A few that spring to mind... Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Testarossa, Ferrari 512, Ferrari F40, Porsche 959, Jaguar XJ15, Jaguar XJ220, De Tomaso Pantera.

In the game, the F1 is a much better car than the Enzo. In real life, the Enzo would be a better drivers choice, though the F1 would probably make a better investment.

Go for the McLaren. It is easily one of my most favourite cars to drive. Driving it with no aids around the 'ring is immense.

Honestly you won't regret it.

Looks: F1. I'm serious. The Enzo looks too bold for me. The F1 looks really slick.

Speed: F1, obviously...

Handling: F1 supposedly...

Overall: See all of the above.

Are you serious? No way.
The F1 is the ultimate driver's car, no supercar ever came close to it.
Big luggage space, 3 seats, it's much more comfortable, no electronic gizmos and it handles better.
Facts.

I assume no one on this forum has had the pleasure to drive both of them on a track, so it's all speculation and based on what the journalists wrote.

The F1 is in fact less stable than the Enzo (tends to over steer much more and unexpectedly - requires susp. tuning), although both have grip issues while exiting the corners (you need to be very gentle with the throttle). Enzo in far degree is dependant on electronics and unlike the F1, the Enzo is more like a fancy drive, rather than a real-deal track machine (IMVHO). The F1 is fun to drive but doesn't have the Ferrari sound, either way the F1 is my choice if we talk about performance and I like to take the Enzo when I want to fool around, do some nasty power-slides or rev the engine for fun. That's how I feel it

I understand what you're saying. The only other car I would feel to be a "Super Car" is the F40. I still think the McClaren is better. See below for clarification....

I honestly believe that the F1 was the first real, true production "super car".

This = Opinion.

That's not an opinion, it's an incorrect statement. "I honestly believe the sky is actually green, not blue" =/= opinion.

There is a definition of supercar, and if my memory serves, the word was first used to describe the Miura. You can't just "opinion" your way out of definitions. An is a fruit no matter how much you truly believe it's a vegetable.

An opinion about the F1 would be something like "I think it's the best super car" or "I think it's the first supercar that realy showed the world what could be done", but to say "I believe it's the first supercar" is just incorrect.

Sorry for the rant, but this "it's an opinion" stuff runs rampant around here and gets annoying.

Wow, have a fit why don't you.

Fine let me rephrase it so you can get your panties untwisted.

I personally believe that the F1 was the first super car. It's my personal belief that that the F1 was the first true super car. I personally feel that the F1 was the first true super car. Deep down in side, I personally think the F1 was the first true super car.

Untwisted yet? Sure hope so.

And just in case they're still bundled up, let me throw this in there as well.

It's my personal....wait for it....almost there....OPINION that the F1 was the first true production super car.

Have a nice day. :sly:

It simply annoys me that people do not understand the meaning of words. One can't just say whatever the heck they want, finish it with "in my opinion" and get a free pass.
What you're saying is, the car that essentially defined the word "supercar", is not actually a supercar. That's not an opinion, that's just a misunderstanding of the word.

GT5 is not actually a PS3 game made by PD with a primary focus on cars and race tracks, in my opinion.

But whatever, enjoy your "opinion".

Thanks for the English lesson, Professor. I'll be sure to be perfect with all my posts. Heaven forbid when I made the statement "This = Opinion" that I accidentally forgot to put the word "my" before "opinion". Seriously dude, if it "annoys" you then you're in the wrong place because you're on a forum, people make mistakes. Sorry we can't be perfect like you. Have a nice day.

Looks- Ferrari Enzo. Looks like a track monster that will just mow down anything that dares to cross it's path.

Speed- Enzo again. More top end power and torque.

Handling- McLaren, by a LONG shot. Firstly, it's much lighter, and secondly, with better weight distribution.

Overall- Even though the Enzo looks superior, the McLaren's centre seating position, perfect weight distribution and over-steeriness makes it superior.
