Amazing race guys. 2nd place in a field of 14 is just... wow. No words can express how I feel right now. The backmarkers did good at blue flags, and it was not that laggy. I'm watching the replay right now; Trying to see how I managed to do it.

I would have been up there with ya killa if I hadnt of been pinched off down the straight on first lap which put me behind and then I had a hard enough time keeping off slower cars which made me spin a few times and also spin monspa so I had to stop n let him go by which put me in tenth and I was playing catch up the rest of the race. Also, sorry bout hitting u wilso wen u hit the wall i had nowhere to go.

Well what can I say, stuff happens to everybody. Had I not made so many mistakes in Monza I probably would have been in 3rd-5th as well. Those are usually the nature of street courses, you make a mistake - you're done.

Very nice job killa. Watching the replay myself and I'm surprised 1) nobody else was on hard tires, and 2) Rev tried to one stop it using softs (?)

Oh that was you i couldnt even remember who it was by that time anyway i was already on my to being suicidally depressed.
Had the worst time consentraiting and i just couldnt get the car to work at all im just so angry and down n out still now more than an hour later.

I'm surprised he got that far with softs. He ran out of fuel on laps 65+ so his strategy didn't go too well. My strategy went according to plan, I crossed the finish line with a red fuel bar and good tires (compared to everyone else's). Maybe it's just me, but hard tires on street circuits are about 1.5 seconds slower than softs. Even Mr. Hard Tire Art didn't use hards.
 
I used Hard's one stint actually and they went off in 10 laps...
 
I used softs and they were able to last me about 25 laps each. Tire wear wasn't big of an issue, it was just fuel that worried me in the end. 5 laps before 70 I thought I was going to run out and lose my podium.
 
Softs worked well for me up to 15 laps same for mediums but the hards only 10 .

He did 33 or so on the first pair of softs and tried 37 on the last pair and ran out of tire. Almost what I did on hards which is crazy.

BTW Wilso don't feel bad man, you're using a controller and that track eats tires with a controller. Turn your toe to almost 0, like .03 in the front and -.1 rear I noticed on my early tunes where I used almost no toe the tire wear was greatly reduced. Not what I use now but figured I'd try to help.
 
Well what can i say, 2nd race i've been taken out on the 1st lap and have had to come from the back of the grid. I tried to leave enough room to not get tangled with the guys in front but the guys behind me saw that as an opportunity to make their move(s). Oh well, thats racing i guess, i can't be too aggressive as i find it hard to draw the line afterwards.

I planned on doing a 1 stop with the hards but I forgot that it would be impossible to qualify on softs and then use hards in the race, unless I wanted to start from 16th. I should've just qualified with the hards but I wasn't really thinking. At least I had the strategy for the softs figured out. I don't like using softs at all, but I guess I need every bit of speed I can get. It did pay off I suppose, I finished 7th, and it would've been 6th if I didn't hit the wall and spin like a total moron towards the end. That's pretty good for me. First race and I'm not that fast anyways, especially with the F1s I'm pretty slow so it was a fun race

Simple anser is I cant make the car do what i want it to with the DS3 and very angry :grumpy:
I didnt even get near my practice time of 1:02.3 even on low fuel :mad:




But im happy at the time i just set in the Leaf time trial and i think i can go faster yet so im feeling better.

DS3 is terrible.
You see how good the wheel work with killa.
You need a wheel.

I qualified on softs then switched to hards. Just note the time q starts so you can change tires in the pits before the timer starts the race fam. it does put you at a slight disadvantage because people using only softs get a few extra laps in at low fuel and potential for faster times.

I know what you mean on matching earlier practice. I did like a high 1:02 my 3rd practice lap earlier in the morning. I thought everything was good to go. Immortals practice rolled into quali then race start and it was more of a struggle to get 1:02s.

That was a massive grid. I was worried about 16 drivers at a street circuit, but it did appear to nasty. Too bad for snafu and me. My new modem better stop this madness.

I have the SB5100, I am getting an SB6121. I wish I would have ordered it earlier. I don't think it's my wiring; my splitter has been taken out of the picture. It drops out with either of my routers. Modem is just about the only major item left.
 
Not shure what an SB is i have a 10 year old motorola :D with a fairly new Netgear router + im hooked through a high bandwidth ethernet cable.

just looked it up the SB5100 is what i got :lol: but its atleast 10 years old ?
And its a Netgear N600 i use.
You might have another issue sense i got the same modem because i got little issue with it.
though that 6121 is :drool: so check you router settings before you drop some bucks on a new modem.
