Oh awesome! I already know the track pretty well, all the right lines to take, etc. but I'm not sure how I match up to you guys. I went on last night and did a couple practice laps (which was weird because I always drive the F2007 when I drive F1) but after I got used to it the best time I pulled was 1:12.486 (full fuel, Racing Hards)

Do you guys think that's competitive enough to drive with you? Or should I go put in some more practice laps and start lowering my time even more?

Thanks for being so welcoming guys, you're all awesome :) 👍

:nervous:You are to slow mate, give up... please...:scared:

Im gonna do some practice later today online so if anyones online they should post that they are practicing and what room #
So you can grab your F10 and head on over to see youself.
Im guessing you where offline when you did your practice so times arent gonna be the same online.

How are the times different online? I've never quite understood how that works. Are they seemingly faster or slower?

 give em a chance m8 1:12 aint bad .

The physics seem to be diffrent but i seem to be faster online, others may say diffrent though.

Hey, don't be a nay-sayer! I still have plenty of time to do practice laps & get used to the F10 more. I saw in the thread that a few guys are getting in the mid-to-high 1:11's, so I'm not terribly far off. I get that in F1, every tenth matters, but I'm sure I'll be able to bring down my time as I can feel the car better.

Hmm okay, I'd like to do some practice online, but unfortunately the network is "undergoing maintenance" -_-

Atleast three people are getting 1:10s on high fuel

...and then you will have Immortalpilot 1 second quicker than the number 2 guy.

I think Art is close on high fuel but on low fuel it is a second he had 1:08.xxx today.

 give em a chance m8 .

When i think that i´m very happy with my 1.13.5 with 2/3 fuel on board and hard tyres...and now i know the car...know, not understand...

The biggest difference is between the tyres and fuel on and off.
But i think the on-line is slower.
Maybe the physics works better for me off-line, others the opposite.

Upsetting has what happened for me in the Madrid race.
I have a perfect setup, when we changed rooms i went to GTauto, did the chassis refreshment and the car has a dog, i managed exactly the same time with soft´s than i did with hard´s in practice.
Hard learned lesson, "practice with a car exactly like it will be at the race".
Ok, i confess, relearned lesson...

LOL...LOL...LOL...

What you mean with more practice?
Trying the reverse gear, like Hans Stuck sr?

You did a 1.12.xxx mate, my best is 1.13.xxx and i know the car and love the track (Mon mean Monaco, not Monza).

Since i drive online alot more im used to how it feels and because of that i tune online which makes the cars really diffrent offline. And vice versa

1 12 with hard tyres r pretty good u should be pretty competitive depending on how good your tyre where is n welcome to the league im sure next season u will put on a regular team since we r currently working on a way to alow more members in the series even though there only 16 spots in a room.

The one thing I've learned is to test and tune a car for where it will be used...offline vs Lounge vs Lobby. All 3 are very different for sure. The way I've always set up my F10 makes it about 1 second per lap quicker in an online lobby vs my lounge depending on track length of course. I actually hate testing / practicing the F10 in a lounge because it feels so much different compared to lobby. It's a waste of time for me.

1,12 times are ok.
Iam sure you can drive for good places.
But here is also the tyre wear very important.
ArtMannn have much better rear tyres then me.
I must drive 100% with my 3 stopper.
Cool hompage no bull.

thanks IMMORTAL n yes tyre wear is more sensitive on this track because of the very sharp elevation changes in some of the turns. You need grip to get through the turns with out spinning when ur car suddenly drops off a clif (not exagerating some of the turns on this track feel like wen u drive over a curb in the parking lot at ur local Walmart :) )

The problem you're going to have isn't fast laptimes, a 1;12 is enough to put you in the top half, it's consistency and tire wear. DS3 drivers will be blazing fast the first 5 laps, but at lap 10 they'll be fighting it out at the back. By lap 60 most will be lapped on this track.

I use a DFGT, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue, but I will work on managing tires/pit stop strategy as well to prepare

Hi Immortal,

I understand that MonSpaNur will miss a race or two over the next few weeks. I will try to take his place for those races and any points will go towards him/his team if that is possible.

MonSpaNur - which races are you out of town?

1:12 with a wheel on hards is great time... you'll do well.

Hi Joe ok thats good you can drive for Team Ares on this races.
For the races when mon is not there.

I'm going more for the mediums... did a 20 lap test of them and they seem to degrade well without too much drop-off in pace. Only 2 seconds difference between lap 1 and lap 20. Soft tires just go at lap 15 and while I managed to get 11s for the first 5 laps, it went straight to mid 1:12s for two laps and then went to 13s and just kept on going. Hard tires understeer a bit for me and don't have enough grip in the hairpins and the corner after casino so I spin out there a lot. I can concentrate really well in my own online room without others to worry about.

Hi guys.

Im going to sit Monaco out. I will spin a shedload and get in the way of other people which I don't want. Ill be back for Fuji F onwards. 👍
