hey immortal,
i wont be able to make the race tomorrow, have to go and get my cousin from the airport. i just bought a new controller and now with practicing and tuning i got down to 1:17.120 from 119.00. Was really looking forward for tomorrows race. Next one.

Dampers really help with understeer too. If you have a higher number for extension on the rear it will cause the rear to pop up quicker reducing understeer. Mess with some different combinations and like immortal said front camber helps too.

Thanks. Tuning is tricky. I have an idea of what each thing does but sometimes it's tough for me to identify what the car needs. I know dropping initial torque on the diff to 5 helps in almost every car. I drop the acceleration to 5 to. I like it that way

Yeah I always use 5, 5, 20. Flirted with some other settings in Monaco practice which seemed stable but as soon as I was following in the draft the slight loss of downforce on the rear made it unstable. Real F1 LSDs are insanely complicated so I doubt GT5 was able to simulate it well, 5, 5, 20 is the next best thing.

Can someone please explain to me the tranny trick? I tried that ish last night to no avail. I'll give you two 1000 level tickets or whatever you want to someone who can teach me. Edit: I'm going to try this: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=185092

@GianDoe. its pretty simple
1. set TS to max right then left three clicks
2. set FG to max left
3. set gears 1-7 to max right
4. any time you want to change the transmission adjust it with the TS only (I use 224 for Fugi). Also do NOT forget to reset gears 1-7 back to max right every time you change the TS

@everyone. hey did yall watch the F1 race pretty close battle at the end there. I was rootin for the guy in second. (I won't use names incase someone hasn't watched).

I thought the tranny trick was this

1. Setting Final gear all the way to the right
2. Setting Top Speed/auto gear setting all the way to the left
3. Setting final gear to the top speed you want

I was rooting for the guy in first but the guy in second had a good race.
 
I'm on a very tight schedule this afternoon. Have the races been starting on time recently - within 5 minutes of scheduled time? I have to be somewhere shortly after 22:30 gmt. More than a 5-10 minute delay in starting would rule me out of the race.:nervous:

Been really struggling with this damn track. The understeer is ridiculous, and I can't seem to find a setup that works. If anyone has some suspension settings they want to give out, it would be extremely helpful

My wife just pulled the plug on my dreams of F1 racing today. Family showed up from out of town and we need to visit.

Not possible now. I put a car on bspec to break it in and have gone out to meet up with family.
 
Yeah, same. I might not be able to make it, so the race has to end before 4:00pm PDT (Pacific Daylight). So we have to finish exactly before that.
 
I did over 100 laps practice for Fuji.
 
Hate to add to the DNS list, but I can't make today's race either, as I can't connect to GT servers STILL :grumpy:

I can still sign in and everything, but can't connect to servers in game. Sorry guys :(

nice race evryone very minimal incidents from what I saw even the first turn was as clean as it could be. Didn't think 4 wide into turn one would work as well as it did but I guess that is one of the good things about a wide track

Edit - On a separate note, Go Team Lotus, not even the Racoons could stop us from raking in the most points.

Yes wilso.
Ares Reserve was Joe and Afrodeezy.
Joe have had no time and Afrodeezy dont can join in a gt5 lobby.
I hope next week better for Ares.

Now I get it. A racoon is like a squirrel on steriods in regards to cable chewing prowess, and, not even they could hold Team Lotus back. I'm quick. Only took me 15 hours to figure out what you're talking about.
