The Ferrari 485 look identical in both vids.

The sound is amazing in the Forza vid but I can't comment on the GT vid because there were no engine sounds at all, just background music.

One word LOD... lights, disc brakes, interior, texture sharpnes...
 
Awesome - I just love the idea that both of these videos were asked for by Ferrari, and Turn 10 released theirs first thinking it was the best, only to be absolutely smited by the GT one :lol:

I think its only fair that the Forza one gets embedded too for comparison, as they both have the same purpose and are a real good way for us to differentiate both games, and even see future replay camera angles.
 
There's absolutely no discussion possible. Gran turismo looks better, everyone would agree.

But, I have to say, so far it's the only thing Gran turismo has over forza, but that's probably not discussable until after Tokyo game show when we really know what Gt5 has to offer.

I just watched both videos back to back. Both games have amazing car models. GT5's is more detailed but FM3's I find has better metal surfaces. But the real thing that makes GT5's look better is the lighting. MY GOD! Its absolutely fantastic. Not to mention PD's cinematography > T10's (not that T10's was bad).
 
The cars look equally as good, but damn that car sounded orgasmic in the Forza video. I am rubbing one off under my work desk as we speak.

The only thing you are right about is the lighting engine. GT 5's lighting engine is unmatched.

Having said that the models are NOT completely equal.

That 458 in Forza has damage modeling and is customizable to infinity. I doubt we will be able to say as much for the GT 5 model.

that's just a wild guess. Nobody knows yet. Same damage as the Subaru(gamescom) is perfectly possible

You do realise there are forums dedicated for forza right?... Why don't you hang out over there if you think forza is so much better than GT instead of sitting around here throwing around ur opinions about a billion times a day and then whine and bitch about being called a fanboy.

The Forza video was posted by Ferrari's YouTube channel as well.

Both videos look amazing, but I don't get why Microsoft already make videos of DLC content. And it sucks that the 458 Italia will be DLC and not original game content, imo.

Those vids get posted I watch them and was extremely impressed by both of them.

I keep reading and the first thing I see is people bashing the Forza vid and that the GT 5 model is "like OMG 5X's more detailed. Forza = FAIL".

Then my first comment is that I thought the two models look identical and people jump all over me calling me a fanboy when I'm one of the only ones not being one.

Funny how you tell ME about how there are Forza forums but you say nothing to the person who actually posted a Forza 3 video.
 
As someone said, it could be a part of the Toscana rally track, lightning on it looks very similar.
 
Forza probably has the best sounds, but GT has the best graphics. Higher LOD, better lighting, realisticer (:p) reflections, overall looks are more realistic...

Here's how I see it, when I see a Forza 3 screenshot or video I instantly know I'm looking at a video game.

When I see a GT5 screenshot or video I have to take a second look to be sure it's not real life, thats the difference.

Doesn't matter about how many poly's either model has, whether it has damage or not, etc, etc.

The fact that Turn 10 have been spouting so much crap about this game in a typically loud mouth fashion turns alot of people off from the rest of the world.

You should always fear the quiet man, lets just see what he has to say in a couple of days.
 
Maybe the track is Toscana (a road version of it)
The fields remind me of toscana in the E3 trailer

I'm NOT refering to that post alone as the basis of my comment, the fact that you're on this forum day and night only to lay criticism on GT while showing Forza in comparison as a more capable game makes it pretty obvious your stance towards both game.
