Hang on, i watched that replay on the 1st corner and i think it was all leedonna's fault. He started right at the back of the grid, made some really stupid and optimistic moves. He went on the far inside line, realized that the turn was too tight so he then tried to go on the outside, thereby hitting Toolo4sno who then in turn hit me on the side and i narrowly missed hitting TheDrummingKING. So for me its a no brainer, i looked at it from all the other drivers' cameras and there was nothing they could do because their cars had momemntum from getting banged by leedonna who, in my opinion, had nothing to lose and risked it all at the first corner as he had started last. By turn two, he was just behind mustard!!!!! you dont need a rocket scientist to tell you who gained the most out of this and who should be punished severely.

On the ABS issue, i only use the default, which is 1, so i do not know whether you gain or lose time by having it higher than 1 so i cannot comment on that. But deducting 7 points is a bit too steep as this will affect your championship challenge. I think it was a mistake that you made at that race so you should maybe deduct a few seconds from your overall time. Again, its just a suggestion but i feel like it wouldn't have made much of a difference in your performance.
I'll watch it later on tonight when I log on before Leybob's X1 room. If Leedona was wreckless there's not much I can do because he DNF'd right away after the incident. :sly:

Endless should behave himself though to regardless of how crazy the other driver is. Turn the other cheek. :sly:

Original post updated with some cool Fuji pics.

I'll take a 7 point deduction for the silly ABS. I'll give it to Artmann....

I havent checked out the Leedona incident. I might give endless a 2 place deduction for ABS+wreckless driving....that is if it turns out he hit Leedona hard enough.

I think the Leedonna contact Endless is referring to came later on lap one. I don't think Endless was impacted by the turn 1 incident. The only egregious wreckless driving was the turn one scenario Artmann described.

On the ABS penalty, you guys should get away with a stern warning. Probably a two strikes and you're out kinda warning. "Out" meaning a point penalty of some yet to be determined amount.

I mean, we just got back from a long break. You were hung over from the night before (Like MonsterMan), whatever. You live and you learn.

I basically did the same thing earlier in practice session. I went out with softs. It's what I had from the Seasonal Event I played earlier. I hit the brakes after 50m and went to the pits. It's because I didn't want to break the rules. :dopey:Guilt trip.:dopey:

NO, I have it! Next race you guys have to run ABS off. Ooo, I like that rule.

I'm probably gonna let the results stand. Too much complication going on to punish somebody.

As an aside I am Gran Turismo'd out. I stayed up ALL NIGHT last night racing Nascar, did around 20 10 lap races daytona. Booted so many people got it to the point where we had few wrecks.....And 10 laps at Daytona in 6:50... Lighting quick team time trial race @ 230 mph.

I've had that though, its too much for me. I may do some F1 racing on thursday or Friday evening.

I have a new video for the Monaco Race. It's basically the same, except I added one more slo-mo and edited out some stuff. The most important addition I want to confirm is 5.1 Surround. Can someone with a 5.1 setup for your computer watch and listen to confirm 5.1 output. I also tinkered with the center channel volume (was too hot) and surround volume (too low). I know most people don't have 5.1 on their computers, but I figured I'd try. Also try to compare the quality of video between the two Monaco videos (use 720p on both for apples to apples). The newest one was an M2TS file and the first is a WMV. I've been getting a lot of failures rendering WMVs; so I'd like to stop using it. The problem is my CPU isn't fast enough to play these files (either) w/o hiccups or just plain "no play". I am still trying to figure out editing/rendering in HD; so I need some feedback. I love how I can edit and render on my computer, but I can't watch it when I'm done. I need a new PC. If this new Monaco video works good for everyone; I am going to delete the first one and procede with the M2TS file format and 5.1 audio for future races (probably not Monza, but maybe).

I love making these videos, but I am finding at night it comes time to decide whether I should race or edit video. So I think from now on there will be a back log. I am 2/3rds of the way through editing the full Nurburgring GP. From there I edit it down to under 15min for Youtube. Chances are in the future I won't be getting these videos out before the next race.

All little ahead of myself here, but i already know I'll be out of town on 7/12. Do you think we can move that one?

Stupid me, I meant 6/12 when I wrote this. Actually this is still an issue for me. Does anyone else have graduation related stuff going on that day; so we can postpone the race. I will be traveling to Minnesota the Friday before (6/10) and leaving to go home Thursday (6/16). My brother is having his graduation on 6/12, and the whole day is shot for me. In theory I can do it another day while over there, but I'd prefer not bring my PS3, racing wheel, stand, etc with me on the trip. So let's postpone it. Pretty please.

Oh, so you want to do it the Sunday after. OK.

So has anybody watched this yet? I have been reading that Youtube doesn't support 5.1 audio, but it seems like 5.1 on my setup. That's why I want a confirmation; to make sure I am not crazy.

I watched the vid, looks cool. Its also posted on the first post. :sly:

I'm not an audio/sound person. 💡

who dive bombed up the inside like that into the first corner? Leedona.....you cant drive like that....

So no penalty on Endless.

There was a lot of action. Bunch of back and forth and passing.

The first few videos I made said they were under 15 minutes on the time line, but came out over 16 minutes after rendering. I was worried about the 15 minute Youtube time limit; so I cut some stuff out to be safe. I don't recall cutting anything around those laps. I'll have to take a look. Basically early on in the process I preview one of my views with the stats on-screen, and look for the names to switch indicating a pass. If no one actually switches places or it happens fast I may not notice it. Who knows maybe I'll revisit it. Wouldn't be the first time I redid a video already submitted to Youtube. I only have about 45 sec. to play with; so there won't be much more battling shown. I wish they had a higher time limit, but I guess they had to make it somewhere. I have no idea how they make money as it is. The hard drive arrays they have must be impressive.

I really botched with my double spin. What pisses me off the most is I purposely practiced coming on track after a grassy off. I knew odds of a second spinout were more likely, and that's exactly what happened.

I'm gonna postpone the Fuji points race until NEXT WEEK. I will open an F1 room up today just for fun, during the Indy 500. We'll race for an hour or so just to get some practice in.

D-UNEXPECTED will probably race with us. The reason the race is postponed is Tool4sno's graduation ceremony thing.

Rich, my graduation thingy is 6/12. Today I am good. Actually next week too. It's 6/12 that I can't make it. We can go for points today. I was trying to be proactive since I knew 6/12 already had a conflict for me. Sorry for confusion.

Oh ok. If I log on and can get everybody who usually shows, then we'll do a points race. LOL. :scared:

DAHM i Missed it B( i forgot and overslept by the time i got up got into the room it was 19 laps in ._. , looked like a good race thought 2 bad i missed it looked like it would of been a close 1 if i was there :p .
now im off 2 watch Monaco which recorded this morning.

Damn, I was about to start another race & the friggin server booted me.....

Anyways that one wont count for points because I canceled it at the last minute then restarted.

Good riddance, Fuji. I had atleast 12 off track excursions onto the run off. Enough to get me disqualified in a real race. :sly:

Maybe we'll race some more tonight.

Next week is the next track
So Fuji doesnt get a points race. Its controversial anyways with the big run-offs.

Indy 500 finished with the leader crashing into the wall on final corner....crossed the line in 2nd with a totaled car. Epic, haha. Dont know if it was better than Monaco. Dont think so. Boring watching an oval race, and more Nascar tonight. :yuck:

Once you do 2 runoff's in Fuji you get a half black flag , another means your race is suspended with a black flag with driver number so 12 means your banned from F1 but I mean since f2007 is easier than a go kart , i mean banned from karting. lol

Some people like d-unexpected does 12 run offs in 1 lap but still he is just as quick in Suzuka but obviously you know it is AT+ABS10/10+instruments that guide you on braking+easy steering setting/0feed+roof view (A hummer's view) but actually hummer's view is harder cuz there's metal on the middle and the Toyota f1 from the old GT oh I mean f2007 :D , oh and he had been tuning car's since gt3.

But atleast in the wet or Monaco it sort of removes the "impossible fast yet easier than go kart" but still f2007+abs is an awful lot easier in those ^^ but you could see realistically what's the difference between drivers in Monaco and the wet, I'll give you an example I'm a second quicker in Monaco and seconds quicker a lap in the wet. Although I used abs in the wet because without abs I am only 2 seconds quicker , i know for sure that abs makes you a lot quicker in the wet but it just isn't realistic , and people would be 5 seconds slower in the wet if they don't know how real braking works.

Does anyone know how to get rid of oversteer in the F2007? The guy I traded with put chassis reinforcement on it and all it does is burn the front tyres out. My fastest lap on Fuji was a 1:17.600 I think with fresh tyres :(

Hmm, how i would love to get my F1 to oversteer a little bit more, coz then it means i would accelerate very early out of corners. I have a few cars that oversteer but then i change my style of driving with them, namely the Honda NSX's, this means that i brake very late pointing in the direction of the turn, let the car turn in, as soon as it starts to oversteer, i use partial acceleration to stop the backend from spinning and then once i have it under control, full throttle out of the corner. Whenever i race with my NSX's, i find my lap times to be over a second quicker, so i LOVE oversteer in that regards. 👍
Maybe you should try it with your F1, if it is too much then maybe change your Toe and Camber down to 1.5 and 0.00 respectively and see if it makes a difference. Let me know how you get on. 💡
FYI i find the F1 to be one of the most difficult to drive as it responds intantly to anything you do, so there is no margin for the slightest error. :nervous:

Oh and guys, i checked the replay and the Guy in front at Fuji had softs on the F2007. i was keeping up with him for the first few couple of laps, he was all over the run off areas as well so he would quickly catch up when i overtook him.But i guess justice was done in the end, when he pitted, he changed his fuel to 0 and had no fuel on the final lap and i overtook him with probably 100 meters to go to the finish line :D

I feel like a fool now. I meant to type understeer :ouch: Sorry:indiff:

I agree f2007 is ridicolously easy for an F1 car infact easier than the PD go karts but at the same time the f2007 can do unrealistic speeds at highspeed corners and yet so easy xD but I have to say in the wet it's even better but like what you said it's a car equalizer although f2007's are still an awful lot easier and quicker in those.
I tested f2007 and f10 in cote d'azur online they are both the same except the f2007 could even do the corner after the chicane quicker. It's alau02 and I played with unknown123 guy and he was a
cheetah in the corners. I played with unexpected and his settings are perfect and shared me infact made me go over 2 second quicker in ss night track.

My car has the chassis reinforcement as well but i got it pretty much dialed in now still a wee bit of understeer but im getting some oversteer aswell you gotta run a softer setup try 5/5 rollbar . Lastnight on Suzuka in an online room i did some testing & managed a 1:28.78 on Racing Hard tires so im feeling more confident in my setup & car . Ye & if u missed Monaco it was a good race .
and P.S if you guys could call me Wilso from now on thtd be great

Moron.....hahaha

I wish we could do a GP2 series......The Formula Gran Turismo limited to 550 hp, and a weight minimum of 688 kg.....

I've tried it out at that hp and weight & the lap times are virtually identical to the real GP2 laps. Pretty cool.

My dream would be to start the Ferrari F1 series at 10 PM GMT/ 5 PM central daylight time. The GP2 would run at 7 PM GMT the current Ferrari F1 time.

Thing is there's barely enough interest to keep the Ferrari F1's going, let alone another open wheel formula class. :banghead:

I agree, you are getting way ahead of yourself. We've suffered quite a few hits to the grid size already with the Ferrari's. Then again the Formula GT car does have more involvement with the in-game features and is much cheaper.
