...except for the Gallardo...

WHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATT? :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

In my opinion, the Gallardo is one of the best sounding, best looking and one of the most fun cars to drive in the game. Same goes for real life, come to think of it.

i have more miles on my two Lambo Murcheialgo SV than on all my Ferraris. Its a really enjoyable car, (except on banks, don't bother) but its a beast

I don't think it's the best sounding, although it sounds pretty damn good. The Gallardo is one of my favorite cars in the game. The fact that it isn't THAT heavy is what I like most about it.

To answer the question Ferrari or Lamborghini...
Ferrari, because they HAVE automotive history!!
(they both have fast and cool cars, but the above is that count!!)

That's true but history aside i believe that Lambo has more character, awesome underdog story. But both make bad @** cars

I suppose you've driven both cars at the same speed round the same corner.

Better yet, I suppose you've driven a Lamborghini in real life to know that the 4WD system "doesn't work".

I think the 4WD system works perfectly, push it too hard and you'll understeer - meaning you're going to fast for the corner. Try the same speed in a Ferrari round the corner and compare.

FWIW, this is in the GT5 forum.

Of course I haven't driven a Ferrari or a Lamborghini in real life. :odd:

Lamborghini was when the creator of it, went to Ferrari and made suggestions on how to make better cars, and got thrown out of the office, he then went to his tractor company and made a car with all of the problems fixed.

That's how it all started for Lambo. Sorta like Lambo is 1 up. But modern day...

I had to laugh so hard...
What comparison is this? Do you know the birthdate of these cars?

Not just the birthdate thats different. They are both so far different its like comparing Curry to a Dog...

If only I had this dilemma in real life.I wish!
I'll take Ferrari for the styling and speed.Ferrari may not always be fastest in head to head contests with the lambos but I'm not in that much of a hurry either.I've bought all of them and the only one that couldn't win consistently at La Sarthe seasonal was the 512.
And I still won more than I came 2nd in that car too.

Ferrari all the way!👍

Although I like both Ferrari and Lamborghini, I have to say that I prefer Lamborghini out of the two because of:
a) The Gallardo
b) The Murcielago
c) This:

If you don't know what ^ this, it's the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (lit. Sixth Element).

Far out. This is a GT5 Debate. Take your Sesto Elemento's home, along with your Reventon's and 599XX's and keep to the GT5 side of things. Sheesh...

I did say in the past they were rumoured to be ...

They do get more money from the FIA than any other team, it's written into their contract and has been for years. The excuse is they have been in F1 since it started in 1950, no other team can say that.

Also they were found to be using an, "over rev' limiting device" in the later stages of Schumacher's time with them that 'accidentally' had the effect of working as a traction control. several drivers reported hearing this in operation out of slow corners to the authorities before it was investigated. Only then were they told to remove it and no penalty was applied. Contrast that to the way other teams get penalised when they are deemed to be in breech of regulations. As is right an proper, a regulation should apply to all or it's not a regulation but an handicap.

Show me an article or some legit proof of this and not just a conspiracy theory. I'm aware that Ferrari have a big influence on F1, but Bernie doesn't follow along with their banter and neither does the rest of the FOM. Getting money from the FIA is great, but the FIA makes the regs not the concorde agreement which is FOTA and the FOM. So the idea that the FIA are the reason for Ferrari being a big player in F1 isn't adding up. The FIA has nothing to do with money. Now if the regulations were leaned in favor of Ferrari I would understand. However, Renault got the 4cyl engines it wanted doesn't that show a lean toward them the first time around? Also other teams with Ferrari wanted six cylinders, Ferrari were just the loudest of them.

For the Shumacher bit...yes that is true, but that reflects more on him than the team since it is also said that both years at Benneton he cheated also. There is the whole old adage once a cheat always a cheat that comes to mind. Other teams are claimed to have cheated as well before without any major ramifications, such as McLaren. I agree Ferrari is a bit slimy but to the point you put it, isn't all that true or at least can be countered.

I say the team orders violation back in 2010 should have got them more than a $100000 fine, but then again RBR was doing the same crap with no fine or real investigation.

Anyways this thread isn't about F1, I just felt you didn't have key things right and wanted to set it straight so now back to the topic.

The BBC commentary team mentioned both of the above during races. If they were wrong they'd have been taken to task by Ferrari, Bernie or the FIA. They weren't.

Go to
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2008/12/...ntezemolo-is-an-attempt-to-break-fotas-unity/

Alongside the 'Active F1 fanatics' just below the first page visible as you go to the page you'll find the comment from Bernie that Ferrari get more money.

I've been going to F1 fanatic for a while ask PM, anyways this is four years old and what stands out is when they win they make that much more, not on average. Also how is it an issue, they won the 08 WCC, and guess what they didn't steal the show come 09 and that is with the 80 mil extra plus the Fiat money and the Concorde money. I'm not a Ferrari F1 fan but those of us that are F1 fans know how Ferrari are on that level of racing and usually don't care because it wont change. Why should that determine how good their race cars are on the other side of spectrum? In reality it doesn't. The political shrivel in F1 is the same with the other top teams and yet it doesn't affect how they build a super to hyper car.

Also I already proved to you how that wasn't all that current, it was from four years ago and the team that supposedly used more money in '10 was Merc GP. That is two years after the bit your claiming. Also for the past fews years the regs and money amassed by RBR seems to make Ferrari a bit dwarfed.

So nice to meet a closed mind. The story may be old, but it has been the same since I've been following F1, which is now over 45 years.

I'm not saying Ferrari don't make winning cars, just that they do it with a greater share of the pot and have been known to cheat. Other teams tend to do it too, but over 45 years of following F1, Ferrari seem to a) Do it more often. and b) Get away with more than other teams.

Ferrari all the way, if I wanted a car that would scare me every time I drive it I'd buy a steam car.

Oo this is a tough one I love all ferrari in their beautifully styled red bodywork, but then I love the lamborghini's craziness and raw power. But since the 458 is my favourite car, its got to be ferrari!

How am I being closed mind? Is it because I don't agree with you on your explanation of Ferrari, as old as you claim to be I'd think you would have a grasp of what it is to be closed minded. I'd also think that you would know that this a detracting from the true focus of the thread.

I explained it to you already and really it's ironic that you call me closed mind yet you don't attempt to write off my claims that in the past few years what you claim isn't so. That in the past few years other teams seem to get away with things just as much as Ferrari do. Anyways if you want to keep this up PM me and we can hash out F1 to your hearts content. However, the subject is which car you prefer and I think you and I both have made it clear.

I know they are chalk and cheese, but I had to think up as many comparisons as possible to justify my point, otherwise I'd only have 2 or 3 comparisons to go by. You could say the same with comparing the Miura to the 512 Berlinetta Boxer, there's about a decade difference and 14,900,000cr. To put it into so many words, Lambo hypercars are generally better than Ferrari hypercars.

I like Ferraris more. The Lambo's 4WD system just doesn't work. You expect it to keep you gripped to the road, but it doesn't.

Yes because you've driven them both in real life? You can't compare the two in a video game.

For me, Lamborghini, all the way. Lamborghinis just seem so much more "exclusive". I've seen atleast 3 times as many Ferraris in my 14 year old lifetime than I have Lamborghinis.

I chose Ferrari.

Because a Ferrari can be a Lamborghini but a Lamborghini can't be a Ferrari.

And that is the opposite for me. So it becomes a subjective matter

Ferrari. They made more than 10 times as much revenue as Lambourghini in 2010.

I also saw the 458 and the scuderia today! Went through the centre of London, in the rich area, by the embassies where the rich people live. Just happened to see a 458 driving on the other lane, I wanted to follow it and stare in awe but unfortunately the stupid rails were in between the opposite lanes. But fortunately the scuderia was parked so I delayed my haircut appointment just to have a better look!

I think I saw over 1 million pounds worth of cars today: the 458, scuderia, a bentley continental gt, a rolls royce phantom or ghost, not sure which one it was, a couple of Porsche carrerras, loads of BMWs, Mercs and Audis, an Aston Martin DB9, an Aston Martin Vantage and a couple of range rovers. Thats over 1 million, surely. And no, I didn't make this up. If anyone doesn't believe me, go for a stroll through the centre of London. Ah, and I didn't see any lambourghinis. Does that say anything?

But, my favourite two cars are the 458 and the Aventador (excluding the bugatti veyron Super Sport) so it was hard deciding - until I remembered the enzo, the 599, the FF, the F12, the F70... The list goes on. I went for Ferrari in the end. It was the obvious and better option.
