hey, need to know what the best FF car is, trying to complete the FF race in professional leage and my integra got ripped :/ that's probably not a good thing, but i aint the best driver out there, so i need one which is a bit faster.. ta

Well, I think the Spoon Civic Type-R is the best, but you obviously dont have it because you win it in FF Pro.

The actual best FF cars are the Citroen Xsara Rally car and the Beetle Cup Car. I just dont count race cars when I say something is the best.....

ok, are there any FF race cars? i know this is probably really pathetic, but i can't beat the stupid beetle cup care in this dang FF race, he doesn't pit, and he gets a lead on me which i can't get back :(

The hangs down top overall FF is the Xsara Rally car.

You can pick it up for winning the SSR5 Wet rally. Which you won't need a rally car for, as it allows any car. So, yes, you can use your 787B to easily win this race.

I just ran the Pro FF Challenge this morning. I used the Xsara and was actually ashamed by how much I beat the competition by. It wasn't even a fair race. If you want a guaranteed win, use the Citroen (either Stage 1: 345? hp or Stage 2: 375? hp tune up).

or, perhaps, the Accord Euro-R...though a tad frustrating.
i think i used the Xsara as well...i'm so ashamed...

Believe it or not, you can sweep the Professional/FF Challenge races with the VITZ 1.5 RS(J). The toughest competitors the AI chooses are the Spoon Civic and New Beetle Cup Car (I've never had to run against the Xsara Rally Car).

Here are the upgrades I purchased for the VITZ...

Suspension/Sports (-16000)
Sports Brakes (-4600)
Brake Balance Controller (-10300)
Muffler & Air Cleaner/Racing (-4600)
Port Polish (-5250)
Full-engine Balancing (-11000)
Racing Chip (-1250)
Clutch/Triple Plate (-4600)
Flywheel/Racing (-1000)
Transmission/Full-racing (-10200)
Turbo Kit/Stage 2 (-13000)
Racing Tires/Super-Slick (-10250)
Lightweight/Stage 1 (-1100)
Lightweight/Stage 2 (-5300)
Lightweight/Stage 3 (-21000)
= 119450 cr spent

Here are the times I've recorded with the VITZ and the Xsara (the Xsara had an oil change and Stage 2 Turbo)..

10 Laps @ Deep Forest Raceway: V = 14.20.907; X = 14.19.806
10 Laps @ Rome Circuit: V = 16.25.038; X = 16.15.761
10 Laps @ Cote d'Azur: V = 18.37.395; X = 18.34.355

Of course, there are going to be more powerful vehicles qualified to race this set of races... But since I felt it necessary to upgrade the VITZ for the VITZ Races, I may as well use it where I can. This also allowed me to keep the Xsara in mint condition, as well as save money for any upgrades I would've spent on it...

Anyway, the VITZ might not be the "Best FF Car", but it's probably a lot more useful (in this game) than others might think.

Have a great drive, everyone!

beatin it wit da integra type r isn't too hard....just use medium tires and don't floor it while ur turning.....that just eats up ur tires and causes understeer....

hmm ok, well i'll try it in the xsara, what type of tires should i use? the beetle doesn't pit at all, so im thinking that would be the best way for me to do it, not pit... if that doesn't work i'll have to try the vitz, lol.. ;/

I won with the Integra R, I think it was running 420bhp or something like that. I used Super Slick tyres, which helped me with the pitting strategy, but more significantly than that, I added positive toe at the rear, to help with cornering. This will help you to control the rabid understeer, and thus preserve your tyres some.

The integra hanles much better with the NA tune parts, instead of the turbo. Because you get less toruqe steer (I think?) and the understeer is easyer to dial out. Actually I found my laptimes were quicker with the NA Integra, than the Turbocharged one.

I think I used three different cars for each race, Alpha Romeo 156, Integra Type R and ? and? errrrr oh yeah the FTO.

Giles, my 320hp ITR only understeers at full throttle. I suppose that another hundred hp or so will make that worse, but I've dialed in the car to be delightfully neutral, with rotation just a little lift away.

I'm also very fond of the Vitz's handling, which is very neutral with mild oversteer except under hard acceleration. I've never driven the Xsara, but the Beetle is too high-centered to be much fun. Overall my fave FWD has to be my yellow Honda ITR (though I prefer the Acura's front clip, the handling isn't as good).

Um, GG mentioned the opposite, but technically a high powered FWD car should have about 0.5 toe on the front. A car with good traction in the rear and RWD should have about -0.5-1.0 on the rear. and a 4WD with high power should have 0.5 on the front and -0.5 on the back. I am talking about toe here, not camber.

trust me try it, you will be amazed, take a Skyline R33 and soup it to about 500hp, do one lap with stock settings and then switch the front toe to 0.5 and the rear toe to -0.5 and you will be amazed.
