You and me both, I tried some different settings and the thing felt more manageable, but was still more than happy to swap ends with the application of a little too much power in the corners... I use a controller.

Admittedly I've had the car for a while and have let "Bob" use it to good effect.

Found this earlier and copied it into a text file:

^ Either this or practice the tracks with the car which I opted to do. But honestly, I can practice only so much. I might need traction control after all cuz the car requires 100% concentration without it, and with 11 other guys on the track, I don't think I can do it.

practice practice practice, that's the only key, at first the car seems undrivable because it's a lot faster and can corner faster than anything you drive up until know, but it's a good training for the X-1 which will be the same thing, a lot faster than anything you drive on GT and need new brakes mark etc..

Put skid recovery on and it will be a piece of cake.

What he said! I was struggling for hours trying to set it up and then thought sod it, its the last thing i have to do, im using Skid Recovery. It wasnt easy but it was possible.

takes WAY too long in b-spec...Nearly an hour each race, and there're 6 of them. F this championship, not gonna do it.

Just turn the driving assists on - skid recovery, traction control, etc. It's a walk in the park then.

 This may be my new sig! This is more brilliant than Allbert Einstein anyday.

As for tips, dont floor it while turning, and never turn skid recovery on. :)

Thanks for the car setup , it worked for me , cote d'azur and suzuka was very difficult for me , came 4th and 12th but it's possible to win them too the key to win is concentration .
Also there are some shortcuts u can use , i remember using one in Nurburgring gp where u can ignore a turn without reducing speed u can make a turn at 7th gear using the grass .

Use one of the setups listed before and just practice practice practice.

Also, it greatly helps to have a wheel when driving the FGT, F1, and X2010.

At first I couldn't drive the damn thing even after tuning it like the guys on this thread. Only thing is practice. I've been practicing here and there in between B-spec mode and now I could get first place on all. I'm just having a little trouble on Monaco. It's a very challenging but very fun championship. Little mistakes could cost you a few position but practice makes perfect.

Loved this championship in GT4 and absolutely hate in in GT5. They must've designed it assuming everyone has a wheel. Very hard to remember to feather the throttle so you don't have so much wheelspin. I increased the top speed of the transmission to lessen the hit.

In B-Spec, it's hard to LOSE this championship! I started one race on the wrong tires. Looked like it was raining, so I stick wets on, start, and it's obvious everybody is using racing hards, so I pit first lap from last, come back out on the track 30sec+ behind the trailing guy. Still won.

Trick seems to be maximizing downforce. Not sure if the AI isn't on stock settings, but as their tires get worn, you make up gobs of time, and can usually pit long after them. Spun twice on NübergringGP, ended up at the back twice, still won by over a lap. Only one with any challenge was Monaco (oops! sorry... Côte D'Azur!) due to how few overtaking opportunities there are. Had to wait until last but one lap to get the leader, thanks to Bob absolutely LOVING to plow into the wall just before the start straight.

Mind you, I agree that driving the FGT assists off is tough in A-Spec. Bob is a GOD in that car. About the only car he can beat me in!

I did it with transmission set at 380 on all tracks, TC on 2 unless it was wet then I made it 5, stability control and skid recovery on, driving line on, follow the line almost to the letter, but on long straight yuou can get away with braking slightly later than start of the red bit. At Fuji its better to brake just a fraction earler than the red zone.

Win at Fuji, then win at Indy, Monaco is a pain the ass, but I got 8th there. Then win at Monza, the trick here was that you could see from the start screen (the one where you go in and adjust settings etc) that it was wet so change tires to wet, the other cars will have to pit in for tire change after 1 lap and you won't. Also at Monza, after chicane at end of the straight there is a sweepong right hander and then a tight left right chicane, for this chicane you just brake a little and then just cut right across the chicane its much quicker and if you time it right you'll get through it quicker than everyone else.

Then win at Nurburgring, on the chicane just before the start/finish straight many of the other cars spin out, so this is your chance to get by therm, also cut right across it as per the Monza chicane and you will also gain time that way, even if you lose seconds on the rest of the track, cutting this chicane plus having the others cars spin out alomst every lap allows your lead to grow. By this time I had 415 points, 2nd place guy only had 295 since you get 100 for a win the championship is won without having to do Suzuka.

If this is what it takes to win then so be it, do whatever it takes.

I will give you my setting since I don't think you need to go that deep in the tuning process.

Abs : 10 so you can late break and overtake cars very easily in every turn.

Traction control : 1 so you don't lose too much speed when you accelerate

If you really need more help, turn all aids on.

Don't drive too fast, pay attention to each turn and DONT CRASH !

Seriously, you can drive at like 70% of your max speed and you will win if you never lose control.

When its raining go at 50% of you maximum speed ! Put 10 in traction control so you dont lose control when you accelerate.

Guys, just something I realised when reading the guides for tuning... I deeply recommend max Downforce, lower ride hight AND IF YOU LOWER THE CAR, INCREASE SPRING RATE! there. I said it. :D Mines at -5 hight, front and back, about 18.0, 18.1 springs, + a few other slight tweaks i don't remember off the top of my head. Just keep trying them out in races... this stat worked reasonably well for cote d'izur, though i have yet to master the car, and quite steady on a relatively mid-high speed track.

when doing this race do i have to click the "Championship" box or i just have to do the race one by one? :) im kinda new at this, another thing will i still get the prize after golding or winning the championship, and how can i change the transmission setting in between races :). im in dire straits right now in this championship :D..thanks for those who can answer my question

In order to receive the championship prize, unfortunately you have to commit to the whole championship :yuck:

As for some advice on how to manage the car, the assists I used were:
Manual Transmission
Skid Recovery Force on
ABS set to 1
Steering sensitivity 6
Everything else turned off (yes, TC included)

The skid recovery force allows you to pitch the car into corners under heavy braking to get it to turn in initially quicker without spinning, so you can brake a little later than you usually would (as you pitch it, when it slides it'll help scrub off some more speed going into the corner)

Also, full downforce! Hope this helps :)
