Eventful to say the least!
. I was unsure how I'd go having not as much practice as I probably would have liked if I could fit in some sessions. But after trying in practice for so long I finally found a nice setup that I could be somewhat quick with mid pack that was comfortable. Although I never tested wet weather above 60%.
What can you say about delays? I'm not all that fussed but, I know there are people who depend on schedules fitting into their days though.. and I will be the same after a few weeks.
I know that unfortunately it seems Gueven's connection ultimately caused a couple restarts due to seen lag (feel sorry for ya bud), TnT not being able to see peeps and a few randoms joining lol which was interesting, but hey it wouldn't have happened in club lobby.
What really frustrates me the most is the constant chatter during the pace lap, the back half of the field fell sooo far behind, that on a few occasions we probably could've restarted, but had to do extra laps to have formation. Why should I care that people won't be up with the lead pack if we went green, maybe I just want everybody to have a sweet ass race and it still be great even though there was delays. That's just me but. In the end that half pace lap was alright, and a nice start to the actual race
That being said here's my little race de-brief
Pre-Race:
Up early for me and lack of sleep but wanted a good bit of practice before quail, getting low 22's by the time quail came around.
Qualifying:
Ended up somehow pulling a 21:6 for the first time, first lap lol was stoked. Couldn't manage any better though, next lap was a couple hundredths off and then sorta buggered the other laps.
7th
Endurance Race:
I'm glad the race was kept to 90mins, I enjoy the long ones but this was concentration 110% for me. First opening laps I was in a little battle pack with
@Karlbfc21 and
@7uke, 10 laps in I decided to pit for fresh air and tyres,
@azidahaka was closing in and 7 began to hold me up a little, under pressure. I had no idea on a strategy due to weather so I just improvised.
Rejoining 12th I was hoping that it would rain if it did, by the time I needed to pit again, it ended working out quite nicely. Got back upto 6th after some pitted and some had offs,
@Stephen Vann had rejoined in front of me from pitting with leaders lap17, just starting to rain with 2%. I had a come right up to Karsten few laps later when sken and Logic had pulled away from me, had a mass drop in positions from the lead, accidentally gave him a tap into the last turn when he pitted. Wasn't sure if you were pitting or not but was already right on top of you, both on the racing line, pit entry is pretty awkward at Brands to come off it. Lucky no one was harmed.
Running in 5th now 30mins in, had my first off finally at 7% surface going slightly wide out of last turn, clipping the grass and spinning. Next lap hugged turn 5 too much and spun on track stopping offline down the straight,
@kossu had been running behind me and seems he chose the wrong side to go through the smoke, before hitting me at pace in the rear. Damaged I pitted and opted for IM's not wanting to pit an extra time if it kept raining, rejoin 11th.
Lap 24 Logic laps me and 7 spins out in front of me in Turn 2, just about stopping to avoid, no touch. A few more pit stops in front for IM's I would say getting on 18% surface. Passed Karl and Karsten after both having whoopsies, back upto 6th. Lap 29 I went wide out of turn 3, kept it on the road but thought Karl was right behind me after gaining so slowed and let him pass.
Lap 32 Logic lapping Snake have a tangle ahead of me, Logic is off at Surtees and I pass for 5th. Next lap I'm off and damaged front right corner, 45% surface so I pitted for full Wets and rejoin in 6th behind
@SkengD. Lap 35 I had another very close call with 7uke spinning out in front of me as I was coming up to lap him, avoided fine. Lap 37 onwards 50% surface and rising my car wouldn't handle the high speed turns anymore and rear traction touchy till 5th in a straight line, causing me to have to catch it nearly every lap in the fast bits and also have a few more spins here and there out of them.
The track conditions felt pretty much the same to me from about 70% onwards though, I was managing to get a couple 1:42s as my fastest and then varying from 1:43-44 to 46s. Think Sken d/c about lap 38 and Logic passed me lap 40 after a couple offs for him to catch me.
From then on held 6th comfortably with Karsten eventually parking it in 7th, Karl in 5th was 3/4s from lapping me I think. I just couldn't hold enough consistent laps to try and catch him, had some similar splits a lot of the time.
6th
A few bugged out and a few left or d/c, not sure but wasn't many finishers unfortunately. Conditions were ruff though, I'm pretty cheering I got 6th out of that. On to Monza finally for some Sun and for Round 1!!!!
Looks like it'll be a fun series though 
I slowly managed to do it passing some other drivers that crashed, like fili and skeng. I had a beautiful battle from lap 10 to 14 with Gtrules (i suggest all looking at it if you have spare time) where i managed to defend and save my position (5th at the time) until he called quit on his tires or just tried to avoid me lol.
