I'm very impressed with the results from yesterday. I mean really? No one had any incidents? At all?

Even watching the replay, it looked like nearly the whole field kept their nose clean. Everyone, give yourselves a pat on the back đź‘Ť :cheers:

As for my race, well it went without a hitch really. Started in the lead and had a really good battle with @azidahaka and @SkengD and retained the lead until my first pit stop a lap later than skeng at the 22 minute mark. Got softs again and away I was in third place, ready to catch sken and karst.

My tires were a bit fresher so I managed to catch them right as the sky opened up at the 30 minute mark. Made a very ambitious and aggressive inside move while three wide into the final chicane! Managed to squeeze sken out and came out behind karst. I'm really glad that worked out, otherwise it would've been my penalty :sly:

I believe I inherited first again when karst went to the pits. I had put in more fuel last stop so I was able to stretch my soft slicks a little into the rain. Sken had to pit for fuel so his first set of inters. Were a bit worn when they needed to count. Did my stop for inters halfway in the race with 10% rain.

Came out once again in third place, but this time @SkengD seemed to be gaining a gap from me until a few laps in as the rain accelerated. Another good battle in the wet. I got past. He made his final stop.

From here it was home free really. Made my final pit stop for full wet tires with 25 minutes left and 61% rain. Looking back my only flaw in my strategy was that I took way more fuel than I needed but after what happened at monza... :crazy:. Anyways it did become very slick. I very nearly spun it out of copse. Sideways 45 degrees for a few seconds :lol: I was lucky to save it.

Kinda like brands hatch, it went without any problems, but it was much more exciting this time.

Looking forward to fuji. It's one of my "home tracks" don't ya know :D :O

Why don't you rejoin? we always have a couple spots... On PS4 i'll be waiting for Project Cars... Hope i manage to get a wheel by then... The T300 is damn costy :/

I would do as I sorely miss a racing game, Drive Club is pretty but it's just not the same.

But I no longer have my PS3, will see you on Project Cars tho :)

We have a new driver who wants to join the series.

He seems very keen and as long as he has no bad history and he trains regularly with us i propose the below.....


I have told him i will enter him as a reserve, however at the moment we have
Gtrules who has told me he is not happy with the race timing and might can only make our races every 2 weeks,
and in my opinion thats no good i am afraid.
Also Gtrules must be busy as i never see him training and he almost never joins our club training in the week,
and that is one of the important things i have listed on the rules and regs on page 1 post 2 index 2 of this thread
to promote a club atmosphere.

Also Smiley who has not been posting for a while or signed into psn for a whilethe last time i looked , i hope he is ok,
but has not been in any races and not trained with us either.

I am suggesting that please all let me know your thoughts on the idea below.........

1 we ask Gtrules to stand down from the series, we then promote Chris to full time entry.

2 we move Smiley to reserve for the series, then Cedbel gets his permanent series place.

3 Then we can get Chris and Cedbel to form a team.

I don.t like to do such things out of hand, so i ask all drivers to share your thoughts
and if no one objects then it can be confirmed as soon as possible.

Well we want participants, not bystanders. We also need some reserve spaces filled. The people who can and do make it each week should have the opportunity to have a full time spot.

Yeah it was a challenging race, but a pretty boring one for me racing wise :lol: Felt more like a stroll and a long qualifying session. My target for the race was P4 given my weight disadvantage so I was resigned to accepting losing time to the leaders, I was quick through the corners when my tyres were in good condition but I lost a lot of time with acceleration because my power/weight ratio was lower than most. So it makes losing time to the leader easier, but something that I still hate :lol: I like to be up there.

Because of that I worked hard to hold on to the back of the leading pack of 3, for the first 5 or so laps but tyre wear inevitably took over and I lost time. From then on in I managed my strategy and tyres, and once the rain came down I just took my time. To compensate for my poorer acceleration, I ran very low aero; Good idea in the dry/not so good in the wet lol. So i was pretty happy that I managed to stay on the leaders pace once the rain came down, maybe lost 10s or so.

Great win though Agro, looking forward to the next one now!

I exchanged it for GTA5 and a ÂŁ35 PSN card!

Project Cars is only 4weeks away now anyway so there is no point.

Both versions have issues. Either cutting on the gt track or a potential pile up of sorts on the f version.
The chicane in the f layout will be a very nice overtaking spot though.

LoL yes, should have been a dictatorship like the other series, Lol, anyway cool you have changed the list, but the little circuit diagram you have still says GT, i just dont want anyone to waste their time training on the wrong one.
 
A problem to change that picture... and shows i was right about it lol.... if someone train on wrong track he deserves it for not reading forum :D I'll make soon and later take a stroll on thi hateful track. Anyone will join?

dont know, but it seems to me that weights will have a large effect at some tracks and not at others - so its a hard one to know
 
Very nice job @azidahaka with the video, showing precise information. That three way battle was just amazing, good joob for all the three involved :)
 
Congratulations to @GT_Vette, @SkengD and @xChris93_ for the podium! You guys in the wet is unbelievable for me lol. Well deserved.

Qualifying: Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce the 57s or the magic 56 I pulled in practice before this, stuck a 1:58.6 to start from 9th.
9th

Race: Made a good start to not be attacked from behind too much so I could focus on trying to move forward. To my surprise everybody seemed to be off their fastest pace a little and allowed me to begin attacking @Stephen Vann ahead of me, held up a little trying to make sure I can have a clean pass and not make a mistake while doing so, @Gavin Vickers managed to get a jump on me, great little battles at the start. Got back past him and proceeded to get back to Logic, passing him on lap 5, @filipino1234 had pulled ahead with the front back a bit so stuck my head down to try catch up and possibly overlap come first round of pit stops.
Lap 10 reached P4 through pit stops, get to 2 secs behind fili and pit Lap 11. I rejoin P7 behind @Pedro Martins. Manage to jump fili after he pits lap 12.
Lap 12 catch Pedro into Copse attacking into Stowe and last corners. I have another peek into the Loop and then overtaking him into T6. P5. Continue to press on with hope that I could reach P4 possibly P3 by the end if it stays dry.
Lap 15 60mins to go it starts spitting (noooooo!). I figure push on hard to catch the leaders use my tyres to have another stint on RS before its wet enough for IM.
Lap 17 reach P3 passing @azidahaka and @xChris93_ in the pits.
Lap 20 pit for last RS still 0% but getting heavier. Everyone behind pits to my luck. Rejoin P5 a bit behind Chris.
Lap 23 I catch up to Chris and try pass him into T6 not enough so tried a switch back and hold onto the back of him until passing at Stowe and Vale.
Lap 25 reach P3 after karsten pits, still great grip gaining time slightly on leaders stayed out for another lap. But ended up needing fuel anyway so pitted end of lap for IM. 27% surface water.
Slow and slippery until 45% I started reaching times of the leaders on RS still I think. Probably looking back I pitted for IM's too early.
Lap 30 stupidly decided to pit for FULL wets as was too slippery on my setup to hold. 51%. Rejoin P5 behind Chris, not so bad loss, figure everyone else needed wets soon anyway.
Lap 31 after Chris pitting thought I could be okay if I could survive 25mins and might hold onto P4/5 still if he caught me. But from then on after 65% inevitable spin, losing to Chris and then spun again couple laps later and got FR damage!! Stayed out with damage stupidly, slow anyway. But logic caught me and decided to pit, losing to eol. P7 13mins to go 89%. Fili and karl not too far away so just put it in mass survival mode to not spin ever again and made it to the finish.

7th

In hindsight, I really wish I made a better setup for the possibility of rain, DF should help I think from reading everyone else's reports. If I made no mistakes while raining I could've held onto P5 possibly, looking at the times I was on pace wth everyone around me on my mistake free laps in full wet. During the race though can't see that unfortunately so naturally I felt I was REALLY slow and everyone would catch me, so I pushed too hard for the conditions.
In the end P7 is still a great result for me considering I started 9th, and was able to gain points on some still.
What I really will be taking away from this is the massive encouragement of how competive I can be in the dry. The battles I was involved in before it started raining were mega mega fun and I'll be remembering that for awhile!
I'm looking forward to Fuji for a complete dry race, I hope I can be as competive as I was at Silverstone in the dry so look out boys, I want a podium! ;).

P.s. @azidahaka just watched your broadcast! Was great! Missed seeing your replays since last season, half the reason I joined was to be able to appear in them! Can't wait for more to come!

Kossu, i have updated the weight list, as you were below 1230kg like others who miss a race who fall below 1230kg you now move up to that Base weight.

My best was a 56.2 not liking the F track at all i see a mess at the hairpin a touch there can send one on the wall and with heavy damages... :nervous: Still last race we had ZERO issues so...

Rules and Regs News.

As we are about to Race yet another track with huge tarmac run off areas and also places where short cutting can be taken to advantage -
the stewards are in the process of implementing a Ruling for any
Outside track limits boundaries.

Cutting corners is taking unfair advantage
however also is running wide and keeping flat on the gas,
even though you may not gain time doing this, you should loose time by going off track,
so you are in fact gaining time.

This will be a set of rules - basically ensuring that any driver going outside the track boundary line
either cutting the corner or running wide where all 4 wheels go outside the boundary line.....
must lift off the throttle until at least 2 wheels are back inside the white boundary line....

Also Pit Entry and Exit Lines must also be kept

This rule will be strictly enforced by penalties
