Just a quick note here Karsten.By excessive rain i mean over 80% or 90% when basically all beside 3-4 drivers hang up the keys or park in boxes.
What happens when there's too much rain on track? do they wait for track to dry 100% or sun to shine?
Obviously the restart would still be very wet (i.e. 60% water on track) but with less heavy clouding for example 40 or 50% clouds.
Also as i said below what you quoted:
I hate to bring on any kind of changes in a running serie, but i would like to hear from you guys what would you think about that. I have some ideas i would share.
On a side note what ****** driving we had this week O_o probably the worst in the serie!
Sorry, I haven't had time today to look over the incidents. I'll take a look over in a few hours when I get back home 👍I cant tell you guys what your weightrs are as i need decisions on the stewards reveiws.
Until i know if anyone gets penalt points then i dont know what weight you are.
I will be posting my verdicts later this morning, but i need Kossu, snake, Sken and Agron to post stewards results asap.
Yes agreed, but in theory if you dont win and drop down the standings, you will then have a lower weight.I actually don't mind if everyone agrees on this but I have been racing with 1300kg since race 1 which makes a lot harder for me to be able to fight for wins. I understand what you guys are trying to do but you also have to consider where we stand, sometimes it's very difficult to overtake low-mid positioned guys and with this increase will make it even harder.
As I said I don't mind and I'm all about making everyone compete on the same level but maybe we should consider give some sort of bonus if the heaviest guy on track actually wins the race.
Yes agreed, just a shame we are not all as good as you top 4 guys, but in theory if you dont win and drop down the standings, you will then have a lower weight.
Lets see what everyone thinks.
we should consider give some sort of bonus if the heaviest guy on track actually wins the race.
I remember Agro did some tests with 1350 kg at Apricot and it did slow him down to the midfield runners times. We already have it, it's called "rain"jokes aside all would have worked wonderfully and there would be no need to touch anything if it wasn't for the "it'll always rain" issue.
So i'm positive it won't make much of a difference and would probably leave as it is; it's boring and frustrating but we started like this. In any case i'll hear what all drivers will say.
Rain is the issue, not weight (i think).
Dont worry, we wont be going the default settings route. Whatever we do it will be as fair as we can make it to even up the drivers levels, and we can still change it again if it is too much. It's the first time I see people saying that more ballast is better lol, even with less balast you can still adjust your car properly, lighter car always have advantage from my experience.
Also in regards to what Chris said, if we prohibit tuning we won't be able to adjust ballast to the cars, the only thing adjustable with the tuning not allowed is the brake bias and the power limiter.
That's actually a pretty good idea, having limited RS, RM and free RH is a good way to go, not just for certain track but for the whole championship. More strategy will be involved for sure.
Good Man karsten, we are looking around 1.44 for a fast time here for narmal people.I do not think this round is the best track for evaluating the matter..
What are the target times?
Oh and video should be up later on today.
