I vote for ABS 1. I want TC on unlimted too, as it is harder on certain courses to turn :(

almost sounds like an infomercial
We at ABS unlimited offer a range of brake setting. Some find that not having us makes your tires lock up (BOOOO!) so next time your in the market for some help stopping. call abs unlimited. The experts in stopping wheels lock :) sorry it had to be done :D

PB- It will be good to have you back mate, I have got your vote. So your missing Monza? Not cool bro, hopefully you will be back for the final at Nurburg 24hr :)

KS- It can be checked at scrutineering so it can be regulated, I dont know if it makes a difference either :)

SM- Got your vote

Etid- Got your vote

Practicing at 10pm if anyone wants to join :)

Good practice but I had a few connection issues, runfast is erm... running fast!

First testing at Monza: 1:20.056 or something (the last two numbers could be switched) with two wheels on the asphalt all the time.

Funny Track quite easy only the first chicane is hard for me (turningpoints)
I can see a 1:19 mid to low if I test more => 1:18´s for the really fast guys in here :D(or even better)

Hey Sakery. 1.20 is good for 2 wheels on the tarmac. I am loving Monza and feel I can do well here :) This is a good oppourtunity to explain how Monza is going to work.
QUALIFYING- Chicane 1 will have a pace car parked on the largest cutting place. You can cut as much as you like without hitting or going inboard of the car. Chicane 2 is exactly the same. The rest of the track is yours to use as you feel fit.
THE RACE- This season, the stewards will not be looking at corner cutting. Everyone may cut to the same degree which puts us all on an equal footing. Next season it will be 2 wheels on the track at all times allowing for the odd mistake.

Only 2 races to go until season 2 starts! I cant wait to take everyone on from scratch with slightly stricter rules :) Also the last race at Nurburg 24hr should be an interesting one, I am expecting a podium from Ronin, Ellis and Neth!

Next season there will be 1 mid week non championship race for fun. No points for the leaderboard but everyone must donate a prize for the winner. We will have a short race on 2 random created tracks to decide the grid for the main event and then it will be 30-60 laps of Indy. Winner will take the entire prize pot with 2 smaller prizes for 2nd and 3rd provided by me. Suggestions on car settings will be welcome, maybe we could down tune a bit and run on hard tyres as suggested a while back by Sakery.
Also next season there will be 15 race dates instead of 14 and everyone will have to use 2 tyre compounds, along with the other small changes this should improve the experience. Dont forget to snap up eligible FGT's so you can present me with team options and you must keep the same car for the entire season 2. I will be asking for car colours and team mate preferences after Monza. NOTE: Anyone who runs a different colour car will be disqualified from that race.
I need 1 more steward so if you like watching replays let me know!

Practice tommorrow at 8pm and mixed racing till late if you fancy it.
Peace :)

Next season sounds good! So the grid for the race will be decided mid week, does that mean we will go straight into the race on Sunday evening, or do we get a quick warm up session before?
This is just a suggestion but maybe we could take a leaf out of touring cars? and whoever wins the midweek race and is pole has a handicap, 15kg or something, then it slowly decreases down the field. it would make it a much tighter race.
Plus tyre wise the two compounds is a great idea, what compounds would we be limited to? I think it should be mediums and softs, otherwise perhaps the difference between the two tyres would be too great.
Really looking forward to it :)

Hey Pagey. Qualifying will be conducted in exactly the same manner as this season. People like the format because the pressure adds to the drama :) the midweek race is a one off for fun because some people like oval tracks. I will get us a guest from another league to drive the pace car too.
I have thought about ballast but dont think it would be a good idea as it moves us away from authentic F1 style racing, at the moment its up to the drivers to improve but maybe vote on it for season 3.
Compounds will be drivers choice and unless the wear problem is patched then everyone will be smart enough to figure out that soft and medium are the best bet. If we do get a patch things will get VERY interesting in terms of strategy.
I cant wait to race you with us both starting from scratch either :)

quite looking forward to the race now :) and also next season i reckon will be a corker :D

oh and is anyone practicing tonight. And yay 1000th post to me ^ go ellis

The gran turismo servers are down for maintenance ellis.
Plus 1002nd post to me!! yay!!........doesnt quite have the same ring

Next season will be great, I am hoping most people stay on but inevitably we will lose a few and get some new blood. Im on tomorrow as usual about 8, not sure about anyone else. Congrats on the 1000th post lol.
Edit- Pagey beat me to it, 1003rd :) and I forgot that its maintenance tonight.

How the heck do you guys do it? I thought I was doing good with my 40 something posts, go get some sun guys, we don't wanna become like the world of Warcraft people:lol:

Haha, I know it looks bad but I do get out a little :)
Without the sword of a thousand truths it could mean the end of the world...............................of warcraft :)

I am just checking the best laps from last week after a friendly complaint, will post here if I messed up at all.
Sorry to smithaz, I added a second to his fastest lap oops everyone elses was spot on. Its right now, must have been tired after chasing ronin unsuccessfully for 45 laps!

Is anyone else wetting their pants about the season finale at the nurgurgring 24hr? i tried a couple laps today and well...... it was the scariest thing ive ever done in gt5

Haha, I havent peed myself just yet mate but I know what you mean. When you get it right at nurburg24 it feels great, really fast with the barriers so close and multiple flat out corners but when you get it wrong its a world of hurt. They dont call it the green hell for nothing :)
I am a poor driver on this track but still am really excited about what will happen!
What were your times? Interested to find out how long the race will last.

Last edited:
well they were red times :grumpy:
but they were 7 minutes with a considerable amount of crashes
im guessing top times will be around or under six minutes but who knows cause this track is so different:)

I have no comparison for your times as I have only driven this track in the rain for fun but if the fast drivers are doing 6 minutes the race will last 1.5 hours, phew a mini endurance :)
Should be a good finish to the season using lots of fuel and rubber. Miss the pits and run out of petrol and you will be in for a long lap at 50mph!

Hope i can make nurbug race as internet connection will be sorted for good.My PS3 died while practicing nur24hr course in the rain, dont know if i want to try it again....PS3 dying is like a family member dying.

cccobx1
I am all too familiar with that!

Not as familiar as me :) I ran out of fuel way back at Sarth, just after I had passed the pits and its a long old way back round again at 50mph there I can tell you.

PB- I know, I was gutted when mine went, I had an hour to go before the race by the time I collected the tools to fix it. It took me an hour exactly but in my haste I must have buggered it up, although I fixed the ps3 I had not connected the internet bit so no race anyway :( Not happy. We got a few more fast racers now and some of the old guard have got much better so we will all have to raise our game NS mate.

Yeh,i noticed the imrpovement and new drivers.More penalty's too.Im really lucky i saved my data on me phone or i would be starting again.Monza is all about corner exit just like the F1 GP last weekend.Good idea to limit cutting at the first part of the 2nd chicane.I can sit somewhere and watch if there's not too much lag.

Yes, a few of my friends have lost all their data with corrupted discs and started again, do you think this game is a ps3 killer? Join and watch if you like mate, but dont watch from the track as it gets boring. You can follow the different battles from the watch race screen, much better.
During replays I watch the map for 2 cars close together and watch that until one gets the upper hand then switch to the next fight.

should be there for sundays race
heading into the city center to watch the chelsea / man.u match, then high-tailing it back home to get back for 6:45PM GMT

Holy shcrap nurb 24h. I need a hour head start on that one:( I spun more times in one lap there than I did all the races I've raced this season! Lol. I think I broke my car:( Peace out

Haha. Dont worry runfast, there will be a lot of crashes bro, will be fascinating to see how people go, its a tough course to learn. Replay will be a blast too :)
My poor car is slaughtered, I havent re built the engine or chassis since before Nurburg GPF.

Hey guys, World of Warcraft is a quality game, leave it out! Won't be on tonight due to a big one down the Sov! Gonna be a mashup! Got my Fosters Gold sorted! Now off for some under aged street drinking! Inabit guys <3
