Brilliant race today everyone, shame entersandman lost connection so I hope to see him next sunday.
Everyone was really respectful of the other cars and it was some seriously fast action so congrats.
Leave your comments here about the race, I am proud that I only binned it once! Quite an acheivment at TM.

Glad to see your not disheartened mate. You qualified well and at least you have a full week to get some practice in for the Cape! (I am no expert but if you find yourself with a NAT3 connection, which I have occasionally, re setting your hub should give you NAT2)

I just watched the replay and it was awesome :) Last lap was crazy, Neth running on rims and just missing out on 4th.
Great battle between me and ronin for 1st place in the first half of the race.
PB, Neth, Runfast and Sakery were swapping places like mad for most of the race and it was so clean I can barely believe it. We got an a fantastic group of racers here, lets keep it that way!

Got pipped for fastest lap,kewl.I slowed up in the first bit because of my spins and each spin takes a bit of tyre life.I let 1st and 2nd pass me early but i should of pushed as i did in the last half.I forgot the see thru cars dont touch you,only remembered after race.Any idea's of what to do to car for cape ring,i have no proven method of adjusting things....cya's on the virtual highway
 
Monster truck @ cape ring.Will b lucky to go under 2mins with this...will monster truck suspension settings work...i dunno?
anybody found anything to read regarding setting this car online.i havent so im over changing anything when i dont know what its doin.sort of limited in what i can do with what i have.ballast i understand.....plenty of time to practice but no fun doin it with same problems in car with pig brain settings.....1:56-7 at moment @ cape.

good race yesterday, i didn't see much action as i fell behind at the start (i can't drive on cold tyres) and i was on a 1 stopper. flood was mouthing off about how he was going to beat me well he can talk the talk but he couldn't walk the walk, better luck next time flood. think i'll have to get a wheel if i want do better.
 
Yeah was a great race.
I missed the Start but fought me to 4th at end of 1. Lap due to spinning of others.
PB, neth and I where fighting hard and fair for the positions. They spun sometimes which made me catch them.
After my first Pitstop (18th Lap) I did spin because I lost my focus => runfast overtook me.
And I had to pit a second time (forgot to refuel enough -_-)(40th lap).
I tried to catch runfast (because I knew he was on a 1-pit-strategy; same for neth but I thought I couldn´t get him, but runfast was behind me for the first half of the race) but I made a mistake in my outlap and in the Lap 43 (I think) where I lost Time.
Surprise at the end: Neth spun at final chicane => at least I got him xD (2seconds behind runfast => no mistakes I would have gotten you too ;))*self-flagellation*

Sorry for my Internet-issues, I don´t know what happened yesterday because normally I have no problems with it -_-

PB- Yes, sorry about the fastest lap PB, thats my first ever so you can forgive me :)
My spin was down to a tiny loss of concentration but I cant complain as TM is a tricky old course when you are flat out. I have no idea about Cape yet, not sure if I have ever driven an FGT around it but ill have a small practice today just to get a feel for it. I cant find any online tunes for the FGT they are all for the polyphony digital cup in a spec although I cant think how anyone can have a problem beating the AI on this.

EB24- Dude! You need a wheel, your a good driver but you seemed to struggle yesterday. Check ebay for a DFGT wheel, its worth it, mine cost me £70 inc. P+P. They are sometimes on sale in Argos cheap too. Flood gave you a good run for the first half of the race but you saved yourself from a ribbing in the end :)

KS- Neth had no tyres at the end, the replay was a good watch I was sure he was going to edge over the line before you and runfast but it wasnt to be. Totally even points between you and runfast too now :) good battle over the season.
Internet issues cant be helped mate, hopefully cape will go better in that sense but we will struggle to beat yesterdays race for drama!
Now for some practice.

Edit. Wow. Lots of tuning needed for the cape! 1.53 so far. Crashing loads!
Edit 2. According to my testing this track is a 2 or 3 stopper and will take roughly 70-75 minutes to complete race.

Just finished 1st practice, this should be a dramatic race. I figure 2 or 3 stops. 1 stoppers may struggle unless they have a super human tune. some of the crazier drivers may even try 4 stops! I struggled for a long time for a clean lap but when i got one it was a 1.50.xxx.
This is definatley beatable though, I think a 1.48 may be on the cards by the right driver with the right tune. (not me :))

Great race for you berty, seem like you went into super human mode and just clicked off the lap times. I was trying to save the tires so I had to let you go but I don't think I could have caught you anyway, even if I did a 2 stopper. Next race I'm going with more stops and balls to the wall all the way. This next race should be like a mini enduro, so for all you guys gripping the wheel so hard relax, it's all about finesse. Looking forward to the next one.
 
Thanks Ronin, I dont know what happened but it all came together, the race was just a blur but after a decent start I had you in my sights. Thats 2 great battles we have had, long may they continue :)
Cape Ring definatley feels like an enduro and so easy to make a mistake. Your new team mate seems like a good sort and is quite quick aswell, he doesnt seem the type to bugger off if he isnt leading like many of the rookies we have had this season. Add him and you can practise together maybe. I am also going with the 'balls to the wall' strat too on the Cape, its much more fun and seemed to work at TM.

Only 2 laps each, so easy to make a mistake but at least we can release 5 at a time this week. 70 mins of 100% concentration :)
 
got a 1:49.382 with flood and electric earlier... still think theres a second or two in there somewhere 👍

Yes,fun this track is,but hard.Uploading 5 laps i did towards the end of a practice race,will be on you tube in 280mins.tune for the car is on me online FGT.More practice in 9hours.
 
Just lapped a 1.57.092 its alright. 0.400 better than electric, its a close one. brett "D

Nice lap PB. Damn I am going to have my hands full here. Thursday night ill be trying to improve my tune and practising like mad if anyone wants to join. Ill send a message.

Nice going flood, it will come. I cant wait for the Flood vs Electric battle. Could be epic!

1.49 is the fastest I have heard of so far sandman. If everything goes perfect I believe a 1.47 may be possible. We will see :)

Note on SRF- I will never ban this aid for the FGTC, due to the fact that the polyphony has been robbed of most of its downforce, I wont accept that my favourite GT5 car is ruined. (I smell a rat, a very fast red rat with a licensing contract and a prancing horse coat on!).

I think all aids are good how they are. Unless you wanted the "abilities" of the drivers participating to be extremely good.
However i think driving line should be banned (not for practice).
Cannot comment on deep forest as i didnt take part.
An oval track would seem unfitting for a formula one style season IMO.
More f1 tracks like suzuka or maybe some created circuits.
If you wanted a series as long as 16 races you would need a reliable roster i think, but it would be good.
I think it would be better to have damage on light if there were to be no penalties(any collisions at start ect), or heavy damage and penalties on (to prevent collisions ruining the race).
I think Qualifying is good atm.
 
Yes definatley remove tcs and driving line, we will all be pros by the end of the season I hope. It will also bring in an extra element of tire management ( I really wish there was a way to ban AT as well)

Deep forest could be replaced by sazuka( 2nd best track in the world). I would also love a mini Indy 500, but I think car specs should be different for oval races, horsepower limited to about 750, weight up to 750kg, and hard tires. That would be my dream oval race:)

Qualifying could be the f1 style, but with only 2 groups

I think the damage is good the way it is, lapping people would be a nightmare if u had to worry about heavy damage.

Agree with your first 2 points, I am not really bothered about an oval but I know PB and Ronin would like it so that one will be put to the vote at the end of the season.
You can be 100% sure Suzuka will be in next season as your not the first person to mention it.
I am starting to believe I have finally got 11 solid drivers every week now (after a lot of dissapointments) so I can rely on that I hope. Maybe 12 if you enjoy Cape!
Glad your happy with qual, it feels like everyone is losing patience with me :)

Ronin- It is my intention to remove driving line atm, I would also vote for a ban on TCS but that depends on the others as i feel a vote will be fairer.
Do you mind explaining why the BHP reduction for the oval?
I prefer light damage too but what do you make of penalties?
Suzuka will be there next season, guaranteed.
 
Love it mate, iv put a lot of effort into this championship and it deserved some fancy graphics so big thank you from me.
