So, my 5 cents about PC build for Forza Horizon 3.

First of all my current build:
Case - Cooler Master Advanced 690 II
Motherboard - MSI B85 g43 - best B85 MB
CPU - i5 4460 - cheapest i5 at the market, best perf/$
RAM - x2 8Gb DDR3 1600
PSU - Deepcool DA650 650W
GPU - RX470 4Gb Nitro+ Best perf/$, slightly underperforming in stock at my resolution
HDD - Seagate barracuda 1Tb
Monitor - LG 29UM68-P(21:9 1080p) - cheapest 21:9 29" with freesync

Few options:
Case - Deepcool Tesseract or Zalman Z9. Cheap cases with nice ergonomic and airflow.

Motherboard + CPU - ATX B150(H150) Motherboard + i5 6500 or ATX Z170 MB + i5 6600K. 6500 is slightly faster and costs slightly more, 6600K is more suitable for high-end PCs with GTX1070/Fury/GTX1080

RAM - 16Gb DDR4 for i5 6***

PSU - any 80+ bronze+ 650w PSU at the market.

V-card - Tough question.
For 16:9 1080p - RX 470 4Gb, RX480 4/8Gb or GTX 1060 6Gb.
For 21:9 1080р - RX480 8Gb or GTX1060.
For 16:9 1440p - GTX 1070 or Fury/Fury Nano.
For 21:9 1440p - GTX 1080 or GTX Titan X(Pascale).
Nvidia or AMD? Take AMD if you have freesync monitor and Nvidia if you have G-sync. In other cases its matter of price, shadowplay and personal preferences. Few models that i can recommend - MSI Gaming X RX480, Sapffire Nitro+ RX 470, Palit Dual/Jetstream GTX 1060, Palit Jetstream GTX1070/1080.

We already have the poll going here, remember (you even posted in the thread too!) Though I do think it is a good idea to have a separate PC thread to leave specs, glitches, etc out of the main threads.

Also,
- free multiplayer
Where has it been stated that multiplayer will be free?

I cant wait to play horizon 3 in 60 fps , i already preloaded it on my xbox incase for some reason i get any errors on the pc.

My pc: I7 6700k @ 4.3 , asus strix gtx 1080 and 16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram

I'm really curious what the wheels support will be for PC. I hope for it support my Thrustmaster t500rs or my Logitech g27. Otherwise I hope that some genius guy can program some hack so it does support those wheels. It just wait and see. :)

Nice Rig. You can definitely run this game in 4k@60fps

Thanks, i think so too but since there are alot of games wich needs atleast 2 of these cards to maintain 60 fps @ 4k for ultra settings , ill stick to my 1080p screen for the next years.

My single GTX1070 runs FM6:APEX at a solid 4K60FPS. With FH3 being a full priced title I would hope it to be even better optimized then the free Apex beta.

I was wondering earlier , is there text chat in the pc version?
I do hope so, but at the same time that would be interesting with FH3 cross-platform multiplayer capabilities. Then again, GT5 and GT6 have text chat on a console game. Hopefully PG figures out something.

i m curios if i can run this game
Cpu i5 2500k @4.5
16gb ddr3 ram
GTX 770 2gb
and ssd
also i have monitor which supports only 1600x900 not even 720p :D
but problem is that i get too many fps drop and lag in FM6 apex, even if i play at very low graphics it is still unplayable at certain maps, like Rio.

You know 900p is better then 720p.

Its really strange since few friends run Apex without any issues at ~ same rigs(even worse) at 1080p

i have posted at fm forums too but there was no support from devs, i tried new drivers, fresh install reinstall and all staff but nothing changed, so i am waiting to see how it will run fm3 demo, after i will think should i buy or no :))
i play asseto corsa at all maxed out at 1600x900 and about 40+fps is min, i got almost 90% about 60+fps, no lag at all! even with 16 cars + online races

Wow! strange things happened to me :D
after this post, i get to home and updated my windows to anniversary update for win 10, and then tried fm6 apex maybe problems gone, and viola :)) i got min 30fps when i am using 1600x900 and 30fps lock, it is 100% playable, if i choose 60fps lock i got about 45-47 some times but most of the time also get 60fps this is with 16 cars :D what happened i dont know :D but game is playable :))

One question for those who have a PC with an Intel CPU with built-in graphics: when you go to the FH3 product page on the Store app and scroll down to the requirements, does it display your GPU name (I have a GTX 1060) or does it show the built-in graphics name like it is below?

The System Requirements don't show up for Horizon 3, but they show up for Apex.
This is what it shows:
Capture.JPG

It doesn't even detect the graphics card (R9 380), but it knows how much VRAM it has for some reason.

I've avoided Windows 10 for some time now because I'm worried it might affect compatibility of my other games and programs. I have quite a few old games that I'm not sure will run.

But this game has me wondering if it might be a good idea to upgrade. Any thoughts?

Dang, looks like I need to both upgrade my CPU and get Win10. I really hate Win10 but it looks like I'm gonna be forced to upgrade if I want to play any new games. I'm gonna assume there's a way I can dual boot Win7 and Win10.

I had the same idea , but i upgraded and all of my games works just fine.

I upgraded to Win10 a while a go and have had zero issues with it.

I think this may be a contender for one of the best looking games this year, from an eye candy perspective. Considering the time/effort they put into capturing the skies and how the lighting/shading in the game works across the whole environment/objects it sure looks pretty.

Anyone ready with a good SUHD or HDR compatible TV to do videos of this in 4K HDR and 60+ frames?
Really curious as to how much better it looks in HDR but kinda concerned that this years HDR capable sets will have poor response times when using that feature compared to the usual "Game Mode" that drops processing and other features.

Card Purchase:
Had considered a GTX 1060 but at £280, think I will hold off another few weeks to buy an EVGA 1070 FTW @ £420. From what I have seen when overclocked it is around 5-10 FPS behind a stock 1080 with 4K and about 10-20 fps with 1080p. So its very hard to see the value of an additional £240 buying the 1080 FTW card and pointless if using a 1080/2160 60Hz display as the 1070 should handle 60fps with most games maxed or a few lowered settings.

I recently build a new pc with a gtx 1080 , my screen is 1080p 60hz , i want ultra settings with a stable 65 fps.

There are no cards wich can maintain 60fps on ultra settings on 4k.

I don't know of any streaming site that supports HDR video. However I am planing on doing a series of FH3 videos in 1440P60FPS.

The 1070 is a great card, and is the perfect sweet spot for 2560x1440 60FPS gaming.

There are no cards wich can maintain 60fps on ultra settings on 4k.
That depends on the game. I managed triple digit framerates in FM6:APEX at 4k with all setting maxed on an overclocked MSI GTX1070
