First you've gotten something totally wrong with this part...
You may not change anything to do with tires, HP, weight, or downforce. Gearing, diffs, suspension are allowed to be tuned. All tires for all classes and cars will be locked to Racing Hards. There will be no aids, except for ABS set to 1 (even if you are using a controller).
Tires - yes thats a series spec thing so nothing wrong there.
HP/Weight - thats also a Balance of Performance thing.
Downforce - no thats at the discretion of each entrant as it makes a car faster or slower in more ways than one (more downforce = more drag = slower acceleration but fast thru corners vs less downforce = less drag = faster acceleration but slower thru corners)
Driver Aids - TCS is required on GT cars along with ABS

Now with that out of the way heres my entry.

- Car: Corvette Z06RM

To that I can only respond to the fact that in GT racing there ARE many aerodynamic regulations. While each team gets some liberty as to their aerodynamic setup, there are specific rules that try to ensure each team is on a level plain, as well as to differentiate each class.

As far as TCS, the TCS in race cars is far less intrusive than the lvl 1 TCS in GT5. Also none of these cars is going to be that hard control so it should not be a problem. If it is a problem I will just upgrade the tire rules.

Also you CANNOT chose your car, it will be selected at random. Also I have tested just about every car. The Corvette's need a little de-tuning but I have every car within 2 seconds. Now I have to tune them to 1 sec. Once I get there and there are enough people interesting I will begin the admin tuning.

If you do not like these regulations maybe a different series is best for you.

GT1 Cars
Corvette Z06 RM
Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car
GT by Citroen Race Car
GT-R SpecV Tuned
Mclaren F1 Tuned
Amuse S200 GT1 Turbo
Lamborghini Murcielago SV Tuned
Pagani Zonda LM Race Car (s)*
Why not just replace the street cars with the racing versions already available in the game?

Skyline GTR>GTR LM(Closest Spec to the actual FIA GT car)

McLaren F1>McLaren F1 GTR Race Car(Hugely succesfull in GT1)

Replace the Lambo with the Team Oreca Viper(Succesfull GT1 car)

Demote the Lambo to GT2

Keep The S2000 GT1

I know this is going to seem stupid, but IMO the standard cars are just not fun to race with, they look like crap. I know this will piss a lot of people off, but it is just my opinion. Again, will make exceptions but only if they are 100% necessary.

Not all of them do, and a field of race cars is so much nicer!

Viper Team Oreca is 100% necessary :)

Dont know why it dosnt compete in the 2011 GT1 series or why they didnt made a beast out of the ACR or SRT10

I'm ok with everything but this little part right here...^^^

This. I'd understand the whole premium car thing for accessibility purposes, but if your car is going to be given to you at random, then count me out. I was originally interested in GT2 because I thought it would be fun and interesting to pick a legal car, tune it up to GT2 specs, and learn the ins and outs of that car in a field of cars on its level. Since that's not how it's going to be, I'm not interested now.

This sounds incredible; I've been waiting for something like this for a long time.

Here is your desired information:

PSNID: lnmfes
Country/Timezone: Central Time
Spec: GT1
Additional Car Suggestions: Audi R8 FSI Quattro 5.2 '09 (is that what you mean by Audi R8?)
Track Suggestions: Bring on Tsukuba!

I sure hope I can enter into this event. I can't wait!!!

Guys don't get discouraged by that rule. I'm sure he can change that rule as he is open to our suggestions. He's ironing everything out so give it a chance for him to get to it!

Hmmm... I did not foresee this amount of backlash to the random car rule. The main reason it is here is so that nobody fights over who gets what car, since there are so few to choose from, and there would be no repeats of the same car. The whole idea is to have a field of different cars. If you can suggest a remedy for this then I would be happy to change the rule.

Limit 2 people per car type, first in first served style. Could cut down on the bickering and those that miss out will have to deal with it yet can choose another car they may want. So in that spirit put me down for a Z06 RM for GT1.

I'm with Mitch on that one!
Put me down for the Ford GT test Car II on GT1.

Instead I think a random car for everybody is very interesting because you will race with the car available at the moment like in real life. If a Saleen or Ford GT will not be your car you will not race with a Suzuki Capuccino :D No fear it's all about GT class, we should give the Op the chance to do this.

I have made up my mind, I am going to keep the random car rule for one race, but what I will do is switch the cars each race so that each person gets to try every car in their class. There are 8 cars in each class and 8 tracks... so this works perfectly. Also if there is a car that is faster than others, everyone will get a chance to use it. I know this is going to seem strange, but I think it would actually be kinda fun. It would also put your skills on notice as you would have to adapt to the new car.

Hmmm... I'm not so sure I want to make a commitment for this, I may do a race or 2 but if the rule remains I wont be commited to it.

It sounds even better! About car list I have a question: what about Pagani Zonda R? I know you refered it as a "cup car" but is still potentially a GT1 and all cars in that class will be premium, only Zonda LM will be standard and with the 1 milion trade limit is a rare car to find, everybody own a Zonda R maybe we can switch it if you think it's ok.

Come on! It will be fun! Every race a new car, and a new experience!

I would love to enter in the GT1 with the Lister Storm V12 Race Car which is a GT1 car! but its not on the list :(

I may allow the Lister, for the simple reason there is no other car like it that is premium. Will consider... also give the rules a chance. Yes, this is different than what people are used to, but I think it could be an interesting new way to race.

Actually come to think of it im not a very good racer and the rules are VERY strict and since im a crap racer i might brake them so to avoid that i'll think i'll pass this series

I think the main problem with a standard car is Op need to buy it and if the car cost more than a milion no Marketplace, only UCD -.-". And more cars available more testing are needed. Maybe we can consider another series only for standard gt1 cars: Zonda LM, Lister, Corvette C5R, Viper Oreca, Jaguar XJ220 LM, Nissan GT-R LM ...

Come on! It will be fun! Every race a new car, and a new experience!
Not really apealing to me. I like to have a fixed car trough the season because you learn from it, you develop it and you hone and adapt your skills trough the season to master that car.

We all have our favorite car in our garage and become attached to it, we want to test ourselves agaist the competition with it, it is that passion and that competitivness what makes or brakes series like this one. Don't really know what the op is looking for, you already have all but one person turning away from the series because of that reg. Please don't let this die because of that!

First things first, if you suggest a car for the car list, you need to own the car, because unless somebody owns it, this will not work. Right now I am open to the Zonda and Lister, if they can be provided.

I have thought it over and this is how it is going to go. I will let everyone choose their own car... but... right now everyone just tell me what class you want. I want to at least get that list locked down.

Once there are 8 people in each class, the 4 admins are chosen, and all the cars are tested by the admins, I will ask everyone at a specific time, to PM me their top 3 choices. I do not think it is fair to reward people who asked for specific a car before this rule was made. I will open the PMs in the order I receive them. If your top choice is taken then you will get your second and so on. Once you have your car you will have it for the rest of the season.

Honestly, all the cars will be even as far as lap times are concerned. So do not worry about getting a crappy car. I am also not going to entertain crying contests over who gets what car. Yes, this is precipitated by the design of this series, but it is a necessary hurdle.

So in case it was not abundantly clear, just tell me what class you wish to participate in.
