Alright, it's "hump day" (Wednesday) so you've got whatever is left of today, Thursday and up untill 7:59PM CDT on Friday. For some, that's Saturday at various hours.

* * *

With session two winding down, we have only seen two cars head back to the paddock. These are two of our Italian Stallions, east in his Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 and InsaneRacer in his Ferrari F340 GT3 are the two cars who have finnished. Both gentlemen have put in laps that look more than capable of holding up through the end of qualifying and now they play the waiting game.

Hey dudes, here are my best splits from my second Quallifying session

T1 - 50.352
T2 - 1'31.922

I like quallifying like this, having only 1hr to get a good lap is great, puts a lil presure on you and has a more "real life" feel to it which is just great 👍:)

Thanks for the positive feedback!

It's official; I will run with the Red Devils, keeping my DB9.

Now that I'm concrete about with car and team I'm on, I'll get my first session done and submitted tonite.

EDIT:
Wow, I'm WAY off pace...

1st Session
0'51.936
1'35.273

2nd Session
0'51.898
1'35.085

Submitted both.

So unless I'm doing an unbelieveable 130R and Casino Triangle (which is doubtful), I'm around 2 seconds back...

hey here comes the independent Indiana ran DB9 I may be a little sluggish but I'll do my best... my name is Morgan, Randy Morgan...:sly: :dopey: update: The DB9 isn't that bad at all... maybe a little more horsepower like to a stage no. 1 na, but I have no chance of driving this car without the aids, this car is a British Brat without them... it can't stay straight for at all... anyway on with the first session... second session will be either tonight or tomorrow or a little bit before I go to work...

T1: 53.229
T2: 1:37.989

And remember, this is my first session LOL so a long way to go... I'm going to work on the setup of the car for a little bit though before I head into work because its still going off at certain sections... will see what happens... and the last time of my first session is up a one lap dash LOL anyway found out if you lower the car it drives a lot better... but I need to tonight work on race setup because I don't know what's going to happen with the tires... hmmm... any thoughts?

Session 2 was a little bit slower lol:

T1: 53.673
T2: 1:38.603

I'm more concerned about race setup rather than qualifying so I'm going to use the rest of the session to get more used to the car... --- Randy

Randy W. Morgan

hey Randy. I could PM you the settings I have for the DB9, if you'd like.

And the car handles just fine. I always try to be as aggressive as possible going into turns. The car gets so much bite it's seems to be best to take a late apex.

well, here's my T times, Piedgros, i submitted my times via PM.

First run:
T1: 0'50.730
T2: 1'32.570

Second run:
T1: 0'50.690
T2: 1'32.319

Hope to see ya'll on the track!

GT3 Drivers:

I have recieved times from RedOak, ranhammerR34, Filizola, AngelCreator, east, and InsaneRacer. Not the turn-out I'd dreamed of but, you play with what you've got. I will post results immediately.

Alright drivers. Tell me if something looks fishy, (I've had a LONG DAY!) and I'll fix it. Session 1 is final (with maybe one exception) so bonus points will be awarded, and that looks to be the starting order. I'll put race rules up within the next two hours.

Drivers that did not complete a qualifying time will have 10 seconds attatched to their first laps, and therefore total times. This is in order to simulate the effect of starting on pit road. As for the drivers who managed to get in qualifying for session one, here is the deal.

Three (3) points have been added to east's total driver points score for pole.
Two (2) points have been added to InsaneRacer's total driver points score for outside pole.
One (1) point has been added to RedOak's total driver points score for third place qualification.

For race one there will be a certain amount of time added to each driver's first lap and total time to simulate grid realism.

1. NONE
2. +.100
3. +.200
4. +.300
5. +.400
6. +.500
7. +.600
8. +.700
9. +.800
10. +900

Your race will be completed as follows:

IN GT Mode - World Circuits - Suzuka Circuit - Track Meet.

Ten (10) laps in length. Your laps will not count, until you cross the start line in "flying start" fashion. When exiting the pits to open the event. STOP and wait for the entire field you're racing to overtake you. DO NOT PASS AI UNTIL PAST THE START/FINISH LINE TO START LAP 1. From there, generic OLR rules apply, no bumping AI, knocking AI off course, using AI to turn. If you DO get in an AI incident, include it in your race submission [EXAMPLE]"... Lap 3, contact with AI - Volkswagen Narado W12, both cars off..."[/EXAMPLE] INCLUDE ALL INCIDENTS. The occasional rub is allowable. REMEMBER, the AI are running a sports tire, you are running a RACE tire. They brake a heck of a lot earlier than you. If you hit the rear of an AI under brakes, include that in your race report. If, for some reason, the AI hits YOU under brakes, include it in race submission.

Driver Name, Car, #, Team, # of Accidents, Accident Report, EACH LAP TIME, Total Time, Fastest Lap. <-- That is what I expect to recieve from each entrant. Remember, for your lap one (1) times, I WILL ADD THE GRID PENALTY. SUBMIT YOUR TIMES AS READ OFF YOUR TV!!!

If anything is unclear in this thread, post here and MPR will do their best to make everything perfectly clear.

[EDIT]: Race times are provisionally due Friday June 23rd at 7:59PM CDT. This time is subject to change, stay tuned. Race two should be announced when qualifying issues are sorted out.[/EDIT]

[EDIT 2]: Race times for both race one and two are due Firday June 23rd at 7:59CDT

Thank you very much peidgros.

No problemo! Remember, this is round one. I don't plan on being this leniant in round two. A grace period of one hour will be given for future reference. I know that the real world is FAR more important than FIA GT3. If there are some ridiculously crazy circumstances (e.g. a hostage taking you are a part of, god forbid) I will accept your qualification times late. Try to enter those times EARLY. That way you can avoid the Friday crunch time, I'm sure we're all pressured enough. We're busy enough during the week, don't put even more pressure on yourselves!

m.piedgros

I will have to get started then I guess:). I hope to do better in the race then the qualifier.

FIA GT3 Championship News:

Car number 23 driver east is under investigation by the stewards for questionable lap during qualifying session two.

FIA GT3 Championship News:

Driver ICallShotgun will take over the #34 American Iron Racing Dodge Viper Comp Coupe as team mate Head has withdrawn from the championship for reasons, undisclosed to officials. ICallShotgun however will debut the season in the #17 American Iron Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06.R. No word on whether or not a replacement for the open ride in the Corvette has been confirmed, or if the car is available. However, word down the pipeline is, the car will be sold and driver m.piedgros may be leaving Carsport/Riverside Racing for a seat on the American Iron Racing team in a second Dodge Viper Comp Coupe.

Do both races need to be completed by the 23rd or just the first one?

Well i'm about to start my first race right now, and just to make it feel a bit more like "real life" this is how im gonna do it. Before I do the race I will do one outlap followed by one hotlap followed by one inlap, and that will be my pre-race warm up, I will do no practice at all prior to this little warmup session, then I will go do the race once and once only and submit my time however good or however bad it may be. Im not doing it like this because I think im so great that I dont need to do it more than once, lol, like I already said, im doing it like this to make it feel more like "real life" 👍:)

Ok all I want to do is the best I can!! two races that aren't that long at all maybe at worse 20-25 minutes... and Suzuka with a good setup can be a great track... I would love to use family cup and find out what the difficultly level would would give a fight to the cars... but the track time is cool too :) --- Randy

Both Race 1 and Race 2 times submitted 👍

EDIT: I love the rolling starts to the races, staying as close to the car in front as possible then going for it across the Start/Finish line, thats a really great way to start the races, great idea m.piedgros

I have race one done, all I need to do is race two and I will send you my times.

Hey guys, make sure you get those times in ASAP. Just a little reminder of what they should look like.
