I made this little hatchback...it runs 7.44 on the Ring and .59.839 at Tsukuba....i am scared of it now...

Why is this car so insanely fast?

I am no expert racer and I am using a DS3..i think it did well . Its a fun little hatchback...more fun then a Viper or Vette.

First off - it's not an Abarth. 👍
Secondly - those times are not "insanely quick", and it beats me how you can be scared of a digital car(?)
They are pretty much typical.

Then, we look at how you never "made" this car - all you did was buy the max. upgrades and shove on RS'.

Well ok it impressed me because I found it Fun...unlike the Elise's and Vette's and ETC that feel like they want to fight you the entire lap...excuse me for having Fun.

Also I did tune it , so no, I didn't just buy max upgrades and shove on RS.

So...you find lap times impressive - merely because the car is "fun" to drive?

Then you call the Elise and 'Vette 'no fun' merely because you can't handle them?

Nobody is complaining about you having fun...just don't create a thread with a misleading title - and full of nonsense like 'I'm scared of a car'.

Its scary cause its pretty fast for a little hatchback thats all I was trying to say. and I can handle the Elise and Vette's ...but this is much smoother for me that's all. Please watch your tone with me and stop trying to play "fun police" and attacking me or I will involve the mods of this site.

Nobody is attacking you, quit trying to turn it around to save face.

Save face for what? Saying I enjoy this little hatchback more then I do a Corvette, Viper or Elise? Is that not allowed here?

Must I repeat myself? it really doesn't do well to move things forward.

You were claiming it's insanely quick and were met with people saying it's nothing special - you're now trying to claim everyone is trying to ruin your fun.

Walk away from your computer and collect yourself, then re-read everything that has been said. Nobody is saying you can't have fun, merely that your reaction to the car is peculiar.

The idea of a digital car being scary is simply daft, you cannot be harmed by it so there is no risk. No risk = no reason to be afraid.

The time laid by the car is pretty typical of sticking racing tyres onto anything, I would encourage you to put it back on the tread it came with and give it another go 👍

It's still illogical - it's s bl**dy digital car.

and I can handle the Elise and Vette's

Oh, I see - it's just...you made a statement that would have others believe otherwise:

feel like they want to fight you the entire lap...

Please watch your tone

This is a forum. We are typing. How can you possibly portray 'tone'?
stop trying to play "fun police" and attacking me

"attacking you"? Not once have I attacked you - but instead, gave my opinion on the nonsense in the OP.

or I will involve the mods of this site.

 And say what exactly? 'Hey, Guardian said my lap times were normal, and that it's senseless being scared of a CGI'?

And with that, I'd say we're done here.

What is that supposed to mean? Can I not say that its a fun little hatchback? And I prefer Sports or Racing Tires on fully modded cars otherwise , I hit the wall or slide off track and that ruins the lap time and the mood.

Okay? That's nice?

If you have absolutely no intention of reading what I'm saying and insisting on defending yourself against nothing, I quite literally have nothing more to say to you.

Defending myself against What?
I over reacted and mis stated what i meant..but After a pretty crappy week...this car and playing this game made me feel at least somewhat better. For me...a person who is not the best at this game...those lap times are really good...we all can't be top level players...so some of us have fun in other ways.

This is like watching someone fighting the air..

Defending myself against What?

Exactly, what are you defending yourself against? you're sitting here defending yourself like crazy but I have no clue what you're defending yourself against..

You were told that the lap time was pretty normal for the car when it's on racing softs and that it's silly for you to be afraid of something that has no way of harming you. That's it. That's the closest to an "attack" that I can find and it certainly doesn't warrant your reaction.

The only one still flailing their arms and fighting the issue is you, at this point everyone else is just watching.

You've made your point, so leave it be.

Yeah, I misread the title and thought it said '500 abarth'. :yuck:

....

Was that all you had to add?

Yup, that's all, just thought because of all the stick being thrown at this guy for liking a car and thinking it was fast that it be made clear he had one thing right for sure.

Guardian...were you trying to call me a bad driver..yes or no? that's how I took the comments but I may have misread it.
I know I am not GREAT at this game...but I try to have fun and sliding around a track in a car I can barely keep under control...just isn't fun for me...can't we all enjoy the game without judging each other?

Righto - so now you'll go back to the 'non-contributing' side-lines? Ciao!

@corviwulf, I did not intend to sound like I was calling you a bad driver, I apologise if I came across that way. I am a not-too-great racer, but most average racers find those times quite typical. Anyway:

You've made your point, so leave it be.

(Take the hint.)

He was making a sufficient contribution to the thread by correcting your mistake.

But I presume you're being rude to him because you took offense to being told you were wrong.

And when has it ever been your place to tell people what they can post, and how they post it?
