My FIFA has never let me on ultimate team this year. It just does not work, I am really enjoying career though and Seasons games (30 games unbeaten whoop!)
 
Anyone got an idea on how this UT hybrid would play?

I have Ronaldo, Marcelo, Alonso, Ramos and Casillas of those, however Ibra is like 1.4 mill coins and I can't afford that yet, not even with selling all the remaining players I have. Need like another 600-700 000 coins if I sell all my "left overs".

I'd like to get an opinion on if it is worth going for it.
 
I feel like Ronaldo would be kinda wasted that far back. That is a squad that should work perfectly in a false 9.
 
Yep. Modric would work if you want more pace, and he's was good all around for me this Fifa.

Sounds promising. I've rarely used Modric, due to having Iniesta, Schweinsteiger and Kroos combo in false 9 formation now.

So if I ever get the funds, it should be worth it right?

So I took over Birmingham City in the FL Championship, with the league objective being: Finish in midtable, and a Cup objective of reaching round 4 (Round of 32).
The latter I have managed to do by scraping through penalty shootout's, but in the league I had only managed to get 16 pts. with 20 games played . My league standing is W2 D10 L4 :dunce:.

But, after changing my formation to 4-2-4, and getting deep into tactic (fiddling with attacking/defensive positions and workrates) I have now managed 3 wins on the trot (one against Fulham in the cup to go to the Quarter Finals) and the other two against 2nd place in the league Wigan and a mid-table team.

Amazing what some tactical alterations can do.

I pretty much just stick with Career mode and clubs at this point. Ultimate Team is far too confusing for me now.

Anybody have some suggestions for good young British players? I was hoping to bring some to my Chelsea squad but, can't seem to find much other than Luke Shaw. There's a CDM from Southampton that is supposed to be quite good as well.

I know in real life that Southampton have a knack of producing young talent, so maybe looking at several of their players in FIFA could pay dividends, as could Crystal Palace.

When it comes to spotting young payers, I usually set up scouting instructions with "promising" ticked, along with any particular strengths I may be looking for 👍 That's probably the best bet, if you haven't tried that already.

Ultimate Team is dead for me now, which is odd as I used to be able to play it, but the market always returns "No results found" (with no parameters set...), common problem apparently. I've done a couple of Seasons games now, good fun (I'm Forest, obviously).

Really?

For the first time in a very long time i'm actually enjoying Ultimate Team. And I got no trouble with the transfer market. Both buy and sale is working and searching for any player works each time, PS3, PS4 and Web App. Hmm...

Last night I played some very good matches, both losses and wins, where both my team and my friends team were even in rating, and in quality on the pitch.. No nerfing, just pure awesomeness! :D

Hopefully it'll continue, but if I know EA and Fifa right, this was a once in every 3 months day.

Undefeated on Seasons, approaching 30 games with only 1 draw, the rest won. I find them good fun as well as the cup games for a warm up. Career has done me good this year though, apart from the constant asks for wage increases. They get paid enough as it is the greedy swines!
 
Ok, i've had it with Fifa 14 UT online...

Everytime I try to play online against randoms, win or lose, I get disconnected after the match, and it gives me an automatic loss. Funny, nothing else is a problem.

Playing with friends in UT? No problem, never disconnected. Playing against AI or anything else? Never disconnected (except one time when the whole Fifa server went down for a couple hours). Playing kick-off matches? No problem, go ahead.

This match I won 5-4, and it disconnected me from FUT all the way out to main menu just after the ref called it. It really annoys me.

EA, up your game! But I know that won't happen.

The in-game transfer market is still horribly inconsistent, the web app seems okay.

Working my way up through FUT Online Seasons, won first two in division 6, still feel some way ahead of the opposition most of the time.

Russian team hasn't changed much, just bought Hulk for 7.5k, with a Finisher card iirc. The only other big names I haven't got are Danny and Honda. With Popov and Boussoufa as CAMs though, I'm not sure I need Honda. I can save that money for my German team, I got Gomez in the 5 year thingy and some other players, so I'm just building that up a little bit with some coin boosts helping things.

Actually Honda's stats look to be above Boussoufa, Lassana Diara may also fit in nicely.

Edit: Does anyone know if I made Hulk an RF (currently RW) it would improve his chemistry playing as an ST? (currently 3)

It has come to this.... Ronaldo sold, Benzema sold, Iniesta sold... Basicly everyone from La Liga is sold.

Gonna make a panzer-bundesliga team.

I think Schweinsteiger is a beast, but better as CDM than CM. I'd rather use Götze as CM.
 
Thanks, I'll take a look, 40k-ish isn't too bad either. I'm getting decent coins at the moment due to coin boosts and winning FUT Seasons. Just won the Div6 title with my Russian team. I'm liking Honda, not really got much out of Hulk yet, but I've made him an RF so hopefully a higher chemistry will help. Kokorin and Kerzhakov are still scoring loads, helps getting performance out of cheap players.

Finally, after 11 hrs and 40 minutes I finally got the "Teamwork" trophy, which leaves me with the "On My Own" trophy as last one. Played probably 50+ matches to get the "Teamwork", but always lost or drew. Finally got it, and 98% done. (PS4) :dopey:
 
In other news. Since I was last here (a long time ago) there have been a legion of new 5* skillers in H2H

They've spoilt us with 5* skillers recently, there's been 3 new additions in 4 weeks (Maxim, Dudu and Ciftci)

Dentinho is a FIFA 11 legend along with Dudu, plus Shikabala is 5* in FIFA 12

Pablo Hernandez is quite notable now, he was just average but this week he got a big up to a 73 with a huge pace and dribbling boost, as the sole Chile league 5* skiller he will be a real dark horse next year if he stays 5*. They've made up for removing so many. Would love to see this bunch next year...and more.

Oh, and of course. Quaresma. I saw him and I cried :')

Nope, I only play CM! Nothing else. What did you work on? Custom tactics?

Custom tactics and formation editing, for example one of the things you can change is the direction each of the individual players moves in when the team is on the attack or defending, and how much they will commit to attacking/defending 👍.

The newest Be a Pro challenge in Highlights of the Week worked this time, and I got both the "On My Own" trophy, and the "Football Legend" trophy which is Platinum! :D:tup:
