Yeah I almost beat number 7 and played a little of number 10 at a friends(plus watched him a couple of times). So I know its a good game. Plus it was just $30 a couple weeks ago so IDK if this is bestbuys week sale of its dropping forever.

Why didn't you beat FF7?
When I first started playing, I would get bored and not play for a month a couple of times. So then when I got near the end, I beat two big guys, then went on to sephiroth and got killed quickly. So when I get back in the mood I'll prob beat it since I now know what I will be going through and not waste my items.

Man, I love FFX, I'm stuck on Yunalesca, but I figure I can figure out some sort of strategy. I just need to judge when she's gonna use Mega death so I know when to keep the Zombie status. I highly reccomend it.

I refuse to even buy FFX, well I don't think i'll be buying any FF game again, well new ones anyway. Mainly because Square Americanised the newer games to give them wider appeal.

RPG's....:yuck:

Ahh, they're not so bad. I'm not devoted to RPG's but I think it's a great genre. I especially like the concept behind Pokemon. It's kind of a shame that the game was Pokemon and had to pack all of the cutesy crap in.

That's the best way to go, but since I'm bored I'll just tell you. Also, I haven't played Final Fantasy X for quite some time, but I think this is right.

All you have to do is go to the Makalania Forest (the blue one with the butterfly mini game in it). Look around for a mother and child standing together. Talk to each of them a few times, they should be looking for the boy's father. After you've talked to them, go right, then north from where the mother and child were standing. There should be a few people standing around. Talk to all of them until you've found the boy's father. He should go and run off the screen. Go back and talk to the mother and father a few times again. There should be a clearish, glowing path next to them on the left. Take that path and you'll find the child. Go north from there. Your mirror should now be charged into the Celestial Mirror.

I had a few problems doing this because there was some lady standing there blocking my path. If you can't do it, progress a little farther in the game and things should be different. Good luck finding the Celestial items for each character (some are nearly impossible to get) and getting their ultimate weapons. Remember that when you get the weapon and the corresponding celestial items, you need to take them back to this place to get the weapon charged up, or else it's worthless. I hope this helps.

Zombie status really shouldn't bother you that much. It's always good to keep at least one character with the Zombie status at all times. I found a strategy on a web site that ended up doing the fight the same way I did it. You need to rememeber that this fight is about 80 percent luck and 20 percent skill so don't give up that quickly. Also atleast one of your characters should know reflect. I'll let you figure out how to use that. Anyways, I'll copy and paste. Good luck.

[BOSS - Yunalesca]
[24,000 Hp - 0 AP]
[48,000 Hp - 0 AP]
[60,000 Hp - 14000 AP]

3 forms. Hard. Not Easy at all. Ill hand it this one off to the best Boss
fighter, Sean.

By Sean
"Form #1 20000 hp: Ah, you think to yourself, 20000 hp? There has to be a
catch. And you are right. This is form #1 of this boss, and the easiest by
far. Attacking with physical attacks will cause it to counter with a 200ish
damage attack that negates all beneficial spells like Haste and also casts
Darkness and sometimes Curse. Magic attacks are countered with Silence. You
should be able to take care of it fast though. Try not to use your aeons for
this form, you'll need their status immunity later."

"Form #2, 40000 hp: Tougher. Counterattacks the same as above, except now
alternates her turns between Hell biter (very low damage and inflicts Zombie on
every party member) and Absorb (absorbs half a characters MAX hp, meaning 2 of
them kills you) She does this over and over till you kill her. Shiva helps
here, the other Aeons are too slow and their overdrive gives ???? three turns,
generally Absorb Hell biter Absorb, and then you have a dead aeon. Aeons that
cannot heal themselves are essentially worthless (Valefor and Bahamut if you
haven't given him Cure spells) Since Absorb kills any of them in two hits.
Not too hard, you say? Its not over yet!"

"Form #3, around 70000 hp:

Counterattacks same as above two forms, uses Hell biter alot, but now things
get tricky. Now it uses Curaga (5000-6000 damage on one zombified person) and
Mega Death (instant kill on all non-zombified people). Also sometimes uses
Mind Blast(500-1000 damage on each character, inflicts confusion) I recommend
full hasted party, two non zombified people and one zombified person at all
times. Thats how I lasted the longest anyway. Aeons, assuming you even have
any left alive by now, get even harder to use here with the Mega Death threat."

Anybody know how to do Lulu's overdrive. I read in a tutorial and all it says is that the right joystick is for her overdrvie and still can't get to work.

Ok thanks, sorry about all the posts but it kept giving me page unavailible and I refreshed the page and it didn't show my post.

Well, thanks for the help duo, but as of right now I can't do anything about my situation. Last week my friend was over and he was trying to get the items required to beef up Lulu's celestial weapon. When he went to save, he selected slot 1 out of habit and saved over my game. Now I have the entire game beat, but I didn't do it, so I'm taking a break right now.

neone else pissed off with the new direction of the ff series? FFXI is gonna be online only isn't it?

Yeah, it's actually been out for a year in Japan I think. I don't think that is how they plan to continue the FF series, but more of the need to use the name to make it profiable.
I can't stand MMORPG's but it does have some cool elements. It has an ongoing storyline for all to experience. It has countries that you join (it assigns you a country randomly.) and you can go to war against the other nations theoretically taking them over (which is apparently extremely hard.)
Plus the character classes look cool.
The only thing that saddens me is that FFXI team is the chrono trigger/cross team (those that are left anyway) so there won't be another chrono game until FFXI has completely run it's course. (mission packs and whatnot)

ffx is one of my favorite ps2 games.. but im kinda stuck in it too.. im almost at the end, and i only need to kill dark shiva to get anima.. but that stupid ***** kills me all the time...

hey u know what i was fooling around one day and i think i came accross a code u press L1,R1,L2,R2 AT THE SAME TIME!!!!after your aeons overdrive pops up (as its doing it)and i hold L1,R1,L2,R2 AT THE SAME TIME then i press circle and triangle over and over till the over drive completlys over then it dose about 20000 im seriouse. so try it!
