Final S Licence test... I got it and have you guys to thank !

I tried it today and got it in after only about 5 laps...

The first lap was using automatic gears... and was a good 5 seconds off bronze...

So I remembered reading on here to switch to manual and stay in or above 3rd grear all the way round... I tell you what it works really well.

I was only a couple of tenths off on my second last run... on the last one I dropped down to second on the tight hairpins in the middle and at the end of the track.

I dunno who posted the tip but thanks very much for it. It worked a treat...
 
any suggestions for getting gold in the first S liscence test? i have got gold on every other one but i just can't get the first one

All S-Licenses can be done to get bronze WITH EASE when you use manual ;) Trust me.
 
if you want to get gold on the last test:

1) find out what the Gold Medal time is
2) complete the test in less than that time.
3) i'm a dumbass.

well, since it's an entire course, it should be pretty easy (in a way) to reduce your time. i mean, you've got a whole bunch of opportunities to go faster than before, but then, you've got more to go slower. my advice: watch the replay over and over and over....good luck :D
 
i agree with j2s. watching the replay can really show you what you have been doing wrong. then correct it and ull get the gold. but i hear what ur saying. getting the gold on the was hard as $*&%!!!
 
The replay is overrated. Just use your ghost to find where you're going slow and fast and make adjustments accordingly. The "whole track" thing is right too... lots of places to find time, but that doesn't mean getting the golds are easy either. There's not much room for error in the first place.
 
dolby is right about using your gohst but that only works if your behind your best time so that u can see the ghost. and with the gold, don't think about places to get time, think about on every turn not loosing time. then youll have a better chance of not messing up. trying to gain time is very risky so don't cut every turn perfect until you have them down by takeing the a little more catiously.
