Firefox's World Record Attempt!

I'm a bit underwhelmed and pissed that many of my add-ons aren't supported.

If FF 3.0 has been released just minutes ago, how are the add-on programmers supposed to make their software fit for that version?

Some work just fine, which confuses me. If none worked then I would understand.

It's always been like that for every new version of FF. Just give the plug-in devs some time. It's better than having it crash randomly because of an incompatible plug in.

Just downloaded it. I havent noticed any big changes but it was what I was expecting. pretty fast to download and install but like you mentioned my real player plug-in dosent work with it yet.

Only 3 of my addons weren't supported, one I didn't even use anymore, and another one that had a compatible version.

Just downloaded, looks pretty nice, a needed update, much faster (for me atleast) aswell.

From,
Chris.

Downloading now...It's taking forever though, so far its been 20 minutes since I started downloading.

Downloaded and installed.
Installed theme wasn't compatible, but that isn't the end of the world.
Wanted to surf, and i'm used to just typing gt in the address bar, pressing the down button and enter to go to gtplanet.
But that apparently has changed, since i now arrived at some thread i've apparently visited the last time i was here.
Also other sites i frequently visit with just typing in the first 2 letters gave surprises because it went to a bookmark instead of the site i visit daily.

So i immediately got fed up with it and reinstalled version 2 and a happy user again with my old theme which is more compact, more user friendly and better looking.

Downloaded but I'm going to wait to install it until my extension are fully supported.

Anyone find a good looking black theme for 3.0 yet? I used INpact Dark Orange and it's no longer compatible and I can't stand the silver screen.

I was expecting better resource management, but I guess that wasn't happening. It just seems to eat everything up on this old box that I have to use while my Laptop is being repaired. Safari runs faster for me.

Am I too late already? :guilty:
Well, going to download it now and will comment on it later. :)

There have been just above 5 million downloads. I don't know if there was an old record though, and if so, how many downloads there were.

Well tried installing and using it now, I find it quite normal actually. Feels just like Firefox 2 was, except 2 of my add-on isn't working. 👎 I also find the new icons on firefox 3 to be absolutely ugly (but the one for Mac was 👍) Oh why am I stuck with XP? :guilty:

Closing in on 6 million.

Edit: There at 6 million.

That didn't take long.

I'm pretty sure there was no previous record.

I downloaded it last night at home and used it for a little while. I had used the beta version on Ubuntu already but the Windows version seems a bit different. I liked it so far, too bad there's no FoxyTunes for it yet.

Now I've got to bring it in a pen drive to work and convince someone from the IT department to install it on my computer. I can't run .exe files here (unless it's something already installed of course). :(

Yes there was but they restarted it because they did not make the webpages quick enough.

I think the old record was around ~3 million.
