not when your playing a game though, it does it when you press the home button, but i dont press that button often
Nope, for me I was playing, then so suddenly the battery symbol came up and it turned off. The next time I powered it up after I got home it resumed where it was.

The PSP finally supports full 480x270 resolution from the memory stick. The problem is that only DRM videos can be played at 480x270.

It's only a matter of time until someone cracks it.

So will PSPvideo have an updated version that supports this? If not, is there another way to rip video to this resolution and format?

BTW, the new update isn't bad. Setting the clock via internet seems buggy (it was off by an hour and fifteen minutes when I set it) and I haven't checked the RSS feature but it seems a bit smoother all around.

DB poweramp won't convert wma at all for the folks who don't already know. Something about copy-protection (even though I have it shut off in WMP).

If ever you get the chance, just go to Burger King or McDonald's and connect there. They have wi-fi so you can download WMP 10 to your PSP and save the installation file to your comp, run it, then have a free wma encoder. Of course, I'd recommend DB poweramp and the m4a codec they have. Just make sure you rename the files with the tag ".mp4" instead of ".m4a".

:odd: uhh... I think mine works even then I still have a simple easy way around it then.

Actually, the update isn't out quite yet. It's coming out tomorrow (4/25). Even the download site currently says that clicking the download link will currently give you the 2.60 firmware update.

Looking forward to updating tonight though!

EDIT: It's out. Cool that Flash actually works, but I'm VERY dissappointed that the infamous "not enough memory" error is given on HomestarRunner. No doubt that YouTube and Google Video will have the same issue. :(

EDIT #2: It is being confirmed around the internet that the GTA Eloader is NOT working with version 2.70. If you kiddies value your homebrew, I suggest you stay firmly put at 2.60 or lower. No more GameBoy Color for me :(

^but hey, it's the price I pay for being an early firmware adopter.

EDIT #3: Ok. The update was worth it for this:http://www.google.com/translate?u=h...dl/trial_dl.html&langpair=ja|en&hl=en&ie=UTF8 alone. Absolutely insane. If anybody here speaks Japanese, please tell me the controls to this game!!! I can't figure it out, and the squishy balls just keep singing at me in ridiculously cute little voices. MAKE THEM STOP!!!

Hmmmm, so far, I'm disappointed with the flash. It's pretty cool that they enabled it, but it just contributes to the already frequent and annoying "out of memory" problems and that the flash adds don't play smoothly either, even when the pop-ups are on their own in a seperate tab. It's just causing scroll lag and is quite annoying.

Looks like I'll be disabling it, unless the stuff stuff from Google is good enough for temporary use. :)

Hahahahaha!!! That game is nuts!

I can't figure out the controls either...

I only see the 2.7 update no 2.8, its the same over at yourPSP.com are the only people who can get this update now the ones who have a wireless connection, because i do it the other way.

edit, I was wrong, the Your PSP site has the 2.80 version its just that they havent updated the front page of the website.

edit 2, looks like allot of people on the official PSP forums are having the same problem as me, they are un able to download the update or the new world soccer demo, aparently there is another demo too, but I have no clu what this could be, seeing as the Yourpsp site hasnt been updated yet, for me anyway, im sure it has to do with regions.

edit 3 ok Ive just got it but not from the official site if like me you cant seem to be able to get it from an official site the get you can get it from here.
