The track elevation seems to be very subtle compared to GT5, especially the corkscrew part.
Looks great to me! I love Laguna Seca and am glad we generally get this track in most racing games.
jdmking, I don't think it's off at all. Just went digging at some real world youtube videos and it looks very accurate including the elevation changes.
I never said it was off, just compared to GT5 the elevation changes seem subtle can you post the real Seca footage thank you. 👍
Why would one compare to GT... The FM4 Laguna Seca looks very close to the IRF track.
Oh I think King was right after all.
Well done in spotting the GT track as being off.
* must take to appropriate thread for Akira to say black is White *
JDMKING13Please don't say I'm right at anything, I'm not saying both are right or wrong I was just giving my impression. I think the view in that video is messing me up though it looks weird.
I'm pulling your plonker.
What are you talking about? I never said the Forza Seca Looked bad or anything, I said the elevation changes look subtle compared to GT. I only play FM and GT so the comparison is not crazy. Anyway the view might be messing me up, because I only use bumper cam and cockpit. When going down the corkscrew I cannot see the bottom of the track, I love that turn. 👍
Sorry if I was mistaken on your intention but it gets very tiring reading comments on how this or that is not up to GT5 standards. There are those that think the mother of all race sims is GT5 and all else are cheap imitators. Enough said on this vs. that from me - at least for now
Laguna Seca looks great. The virual racing experience on the consoles just keeps getting better!
Graphics in that video are a lie because it is a replay.
If it was an actual race there would not be motion blur.
I don't know. Seems like the FM3 track to me...I'd want to see those two side by side. The real track is obviously darker and...not as shiny.
That's one thing.
And for me, and it's JUST my point of view, the GT5 version looks more accurate. Anyway, it looks great this too.
Anyways, after seeing the video of Laguna Seca, I gotta say, it seems like T10 have finally proven that they can put some pretty accurate tracks into the game. It actually feels a bit like the whole Nordschleife thing, just reversed - but unintentional (and less extreme, though).
I'm fully expecting some people to claim that GT5's rendition is more sccurate because, well, it's GT5.
maybe GT5 just overdid that?!
Okay. If you want a genuine answer, it's the same as with Shift 2: They wanted to make it more 'racable' for the majority of people, who, in all likelyhood, aren't the same as us in that they consider accuracy to be as important.Probably! I´ve never driven on Laguna Seca...
But the Nordschleife is really bugging me and I cant understand such things... Why?? Why??
