If there is an area for introductions,,I didn't see it. Since GT5P is my main concern anyway, this is probably the area 90%+ of my posts will be.

I started with GT1 when my son finally convinced me to try it. Spent every spare minute that summer in his room driving. Have had every GT since and now have GT5P. PS3 and GT5P a birthday gift from Daughter and Son. GT is the only game I have owned, now owned and possibly will own.

Just finished all the races. S10 was a tough one, finally got Bronze with the Elise 111R tuned. With a wheel I think the GT spec11 would get gold. But,56 yo hands did the best they could do with the 6 axis controller.

Haven't been online yet ,but should get there in the next month or so. Will then get onto the registry.

Look forward to eventually racing online with some GTP members.

Welcome to GTP, Larry. Trust me, when you start racing with us, you'll never give the AI a second look again .

Welcome!!

Sounds like my dad when it comes to GT4 or GT5..Gotta beat him off with a stick so I can play..lol

Have fun at GTP Larry, as much fun as you feel you can handle.:dopey: Check out The Lion's Den in the tuning forums while you're at it.;)

Funny, I've been having a ball with the now intelligent (especially far more intelligent than online chrashers) AI, they put up good battles and often give good racing room, and you get to watch it on replay.

Welcome aboard, Larry! Glad to have you here.

I say this every time someone new comes aboard, but I really need to play GT5p again.

Welcome, Larry! Enjoy your stay!

Welcome, Larry, it's great to have you. :)

You wouldn’t happen to have two brothers named Darryl would you?

Welcome even if you don’t.

Welcome, Larry, it's great to have you. :)

Hello Jordan, I'm new to KY as well as GTP. Wife and step-daughters have been there since Aug last year. I've had a house in WI to sell. Finally close on Monday and can live in my new house. I've been promised my own room in the basement just as soon as I get the rest of it finished.:)

Mines_GTR,, you need to get that man his own machine. Christmas is very near.💡

kikie,,Thanks for the links.

UnoMOTO,,I have brothers, but none of them are named Darryl.

Duke,,I know a guy in NC that posts on a motorcycle site. He used to be naviduck and now is Mike. Could/would this be you?

S10 gave me the most trouble, but, last night I was able to get Silver with the GT spec11 test car. Probably will get a wheel and build a pod when time allows. Those joy sticks just don't compute properly in my brain. Causes too many mistakes.

No, the only other forum I post in much is www.grmotorsports.com . I'm a little north of the Carolinas, too.

I would definitely advise getting a wheel and somewhere solid and comfortable to put it. The driving experience is MCUH better. Check out the CHEAP cockpit alternatives thread for a variety of good ideas.

Welcome to GTPlanet, PierPressure#1 and nez1.

nez1, Please use proper English spelling and grammar, as our Acceptable Use Policy dictates. No lazy spelling, chat-speak, et cetera.

Have fun and take care.

As long as you look as it as learning, you'll be fine! 👍 We try to hold a higher standard here than you will find a lot of other places, and we think it shows... :sly:

Welcome.

Welcome to GTP and Kentucky, neighbor. I'm in Frankfort here. I believe the Best Buy in Lexington may still have some DFP wheels and possibly the new DFGT wheel.

If you don't mind my asking, what has brought you to the Bluegrass State?

And since you are here you need to remember a few things:
  1. Basketball is a religion.
  2. Kentucky Wildcats are better than Louisville Cardinals.
  3. Rick Pitino is a traitor far worse than Benedict Arnold.
  4. Football season is just a warmup for basketbal season.
  5. Pro sports? Never heard of them, unless you mean minor league baseball.
  6. An invite to the horse racing track (especially Keenland or Churchill Downs) is a good thing.

Jordan, it appears that the Kentucky membership is slowly growing. When I joined I think you might have been the only other one that was active.

Also, welcome, nez1. Just remember that when members or mods correct you for style and or grammar it is to help, not insult. We really do try to get along here.
