This may seem like a bit of a mood killing answer, but I'm just going to have to say "Whatever I can afford."

There's going to be so many awesome cars in GT5, and we don't know what will and wont be in the game. I'm going to buy whichever 10 strike my fancy at the time and I wont stop buying cars after that 'til every car I want is in my garage.

(Assuming these cars will be included and available for purchase)

1) FB RX-7
2) Opel/Vauxhall/Saturn Astra VXR/XR
3) Fox body Mustang 5.0 (Or SVO  )
4) Viper ACR

That's exactly how I feel about it ( and done it in that way previous GT's ) as the first 10 cars I will own probably aren't the ones I will hanker after the most which isn't the same as being less fun.
I will however add that the final inclusion of Maserati, McLaren, Lamborghini, Bugatti and all Ferrari's previously not available in Prologue ( and the ones which were finally available to drive on different tracks ) have a higher ranking order on my wishlist.
Does sound a bit perhaps like I'm only interested in supercars, which isn't correct.
It's just that most of these brands make their debut in a full GT game, and I'm dying to find out how it compares to the way I imagine them to drive IRL or in GT5.
Eventually I will end up with at least one example of every single car available and enjoy most of them.:)

Im not planning what the first ten cars I will buy. I will buy whatever car is needed for the races that need to be done.

Eventually I will end up with at least one example of every single car available and enjoy most of them.:)

, I must confess I'll buy many doubles of the same cars, just to vary the colours, one example is my collection of F430s in GT5P, one of each color. I'll do the same for the Veyron, 458, Gallardo, and any other cool car I can find. :D

But, on topic, I'll buy 10 used craps, just because I like cheap things and in GT things aren't different, I'll buy whatever used pieces of crap I can since the very first day, nissan PAO, here I go!

I'm guilty of doing somewhat the same, although I limit myself to the colours I actually like, in GT4 I even had most of those Japanese classics in several colours and even collected all 3 available Daihatsu Midgets because they had slightly different hues, yes it's quite sad.
But if you're going to be sad, be tragic.......:D
