FITT Miata Tuning Challenge

But I think that I will be disqualiffied because I failed the deadline.

You will not be disqualified for being late. I already extended the deadline to 5 pm Eastern Standard Time today.

So do I understand the situation with your tune correctly? You built the car but want to use the same suspension settings as @Ridox2JZGTE ? Working with a tuner is one thing, but just taking his suspension settings without his permission is completely different. We cannot have that happen in tuning competitions. It goes completely against the spirit of the FITT competitions.

@Harsk100 I think you have two choices.

1. Have people run your tune the way it is posted with stock suspension settings.
MX-5 SR-Limited'97
Comfort Soft Tire
Stock Suspension Settings

Weight: 950 kg
Weight Ballast: 39
Distribution of Weight: 52-48

Weight reduction Level 1

2. Build you own suspension settings by 5 pm EST today.

Sorry for the delay I have a setup I will be able to post in a few hours when I get home, I understand there is a deadline which I missed so no problem if the tune can't be accepted.

Its cool. You have until 5 pm Eastern Standard Time today to post.

I will build my own suspension.

*gasp* MCH!!! SHAME ON YOU, DOUBLE POSTING EVEN AS AN EXPERIENCED MEMBER! :P

Well, at least that's that sorted. Now, melodramas over, can we haz results?

Bound- 10/3
Reboud- 10/3
Extension- 7/3
Toe Angle- 0.0/0.0

For the sake of making it a tad easier on the testers could you compile your new tune into a single post for us, so MCH can get a single link into the tune post.

@Harsk100

My suspension (Front/Rear)
Ride Height- 90/90
Spring Rate- 3.50/3.17
Bound- 10/3
Reboud- 10/3
Anti-Roll Bars- 7/3
Toe Angle- 0.0/0.0
Camber Angle- 0.00/0.20

I went and changed "31.7" to "3.17" (Typo? This is just what I feel sounds correct because 31.7 is…well, stiffer than if you fed the rear springs viagra, not even sure if you can go that high in a road car) and "Extension" to "Anti-roll bar" for the sake of clarity for testers, is that ok?

And yea, as @Otaliema said, put it in a single post, just so the testers don't have to jump about looking for the parts list and then going back for your tune. 👍

It's nothing to do with copying tunes, it's just for the sake of practicality.

Is this correct for your tune Harsk100? They were just asking that you try to put all of your tune as a single post that way it's easier to read and get to....

That's good.

I do NOT want to double post but I want you know that I don't want a car doing an oversteer because I want to be the champion, like everybody does. So, I'm trying to find the best settings to win the championship.

If you could copy and paste Lionheart2113's template and use the edit function on your original tune post then that would be great, saves double posting and would help prevent future confusion. That's all you need to do and everything will be perfect

Now is too late because the deadline already passed. It's 5:39 pm.

It should be fine, the tune was already posted but its currently all over the place in multiple posts making it hard to track down or hotlink. Just to save confusion for the testers, please post the complete tune in your original post

I posted the link directly to Lionheart's post.

@JackWilson on your tune you have front slpitter listed is that the aero front wing? on your SCCA Spec MX-5 S-Special Type I (NA,J) '95 car
Yeah I think it's the only available aero part for that car. Obviously it's only for visual effect, I don't believe it affects the overall performance of the car.

I have built the scoring sheet for Spec Miata. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...all-tunes-by-5-pm-please.303511/#post-9366694

I put fake times and driver's choice numbers in so that everyone can see how my scoring sheets work. Once the first set of test drive results are posted, I will clear the sheet and add the results live. The sheet is set up to automatically re-rank the tunes after each update.

Note to Test Drivers:
It would be very helpful if you could post your results in the same order as they are listed on the scoring sheet. It will save me some time and reduce the changes of me making a typo.

Let me know if anyone has questions about the scoring sheet or the scoring method.

That's what I thought I just never heard it called a front spliter

The current time as of this post is 1:06 PM EST so you have just under 4 hours to refine your tune if you want to. As mentioned your tune is already posted it's just all over the place making it hard to read and set up.
