Yep, still breathing. My tune is basically done, I just want a couple more laps to see if there is anything left to fine tune. The next couple of days are going to be spent in Forza NASCAR though

Great job with the posted tunes so far:tup:. I had to revisit mine with some fresh ideas after beating my best time with two different tunes so far, and getting very close with others. Managed to knock .4 sec off with my fresh outlook on tuning. Thanks everyone, I'm learning a lot from the diversity of these tunes.

Edit: Any tunes ready to test would be greatly welcomed:)

I'm wondering if it'll be possible to break the magic 2.00:000 barrier once testing starts.
After turning 2.04's with the default setup and the control gear ratios, I never thought it would be possible.

I think it might take a  kind of lap (or an ''Alien'') but anythings possible. I'm still finding time with my tune with some very basic changes (brake balance), and I haven't hit it's limit yet (check the mirror).

I haven't got my own tune in that ballpark yet & probably won't if I'm honest but I'm up for an Alien challenge when the testing starts. I don't know any track as well as I know Bathurst & the Nordschleife.

Here goes my entry, please understand that this tune is not set for ultimate lap time :)

Ford Falcon XR8 2000

Oil Change

Weight : 0 kg ballast, pos -50

Suspension

ride height 92 92
spring 16.01 13.99
damper comp 7 5
damper ext 2 9
ARB 4 4
Camber -5.5 -2.2
Toe -0.44 0.00

LSD Spool

60/60/60

Aero

500/530 ( max front, min rear )

Brake Balance 4/9 ( yep, no ABS still locks front on occasion ) should work with ABS 1.

Tip : If unsure or in doubt, LIFT, or SHIFT DOWN :D Treat it like your own car. Trail brake as much as you can.

If any of you curious what happens when the chains are off, remove camber, remove front toe, reduce LSD to near open, and let it go wild :P  but don't use this for testing.

I do have another spring set, rock hard, like 300+N/mm front and 200+N/mm rear with 1450kg/59:41, but that setup would cause a lot of crashes/frustration  My entry, I'm still worried about the uphill/downhill turns, it requires quick touch on the gas/brake, reading the car transition and allow it to rotate.

I'm driving the NISMO GTR LM at Bathurst recently, on SH, stock toe, insane fun with lots of jiggling, it commands certain way of driving for sure, 70-80% throttle modulation on lower gear, lift off, shift down to get it to hug the apex, messed the timing, the wall ready to kiss :P Managed low 2:07s there with a wall scrape. It's manic car with massive low speed push/under, rocket acceleration which makes heavy foot a no no, at Apricot Hill reverse, clocking 1:23s, a bit slower than McLaren F1 GTR also on SH, while at Midfield, it did low 1:08s.

This car makes the Falcon like sunday driving with nice FR car, but it's so rewarding ( with sweaty palm )

@Otaliema @Pete05
I'll safely make the tuning window since I only have a few tweaks to go on my tune, though I'm gonna have to back out as a tester since my new work schedule's going to make it almost impossible for me to get any reasonable testing time in.
Good news about being able to finish your tune in time & although it's a shame we have to take you off the Tester's list, real life has to take priority. I know the feeling myself
Thanks for letting us know

Great to hear on the tune.
That sucks about the new work schedule, but I hope it works out for you and it's better for you, a good schedule that works with you is more important than testing for a FITT event in my book. I'll get you taken off the testers list.

I will continue testing tomorrow morning...three more down! 👍

I think that will put me 1/2 way through the tunes and I will have a little time the last week in May to finish up the rest before I head out on vacation! :)
