Completely off topic, but according to the home page, their (fingerscrossed) may-well be new tracks by the time this season finishes. Season 2 anyone? :lol:

I'm always making plans for the next one. I think starting next season we'll probably drop the season numbers and just go with a standard title. I'd like to make a gradual increase in certain things from here on out, but we'll see. I'm already planning on running to classes, and team points will be added.

A bit early to be talking about that now though. :dopey:

Also I'm pretty sure I read that there we're going to be teams when I had been keeping quiet on this thread at the beginning, probably wrong though hahaha.
 
Question, not sure if it was answered or not, but where is the "B" final going to be held at? Laguna?? Just curious because I am sure I will be a part of it and wanted to get some practice in. Hopefully I can build a bit more speed and consistency with the wheel by then.

If you're talking about the Reserves race for the wildcard spot in the final, I thought I would make it interesting by announcing the track at the exact moment that everyone is in the room and ready to go. :)

Should be exciting. :D

I think you're assuming way to much, particularly your chance of even needing a wildcard finish. ;)

I'll be missing Spa due to Thanksgiving vacation so combined with my DNF at Nurb F, the wild card's the only realistic route to Laguna Seca.

You're free to drop 1 round. Which means if you run all the others, you'll only be missing one race's points. I wouldn't consider myself "out" in your shoes, so I certainly don't consider you out. ;)
 
I think harder tire should be better.Slicker conditions separate the men from the boys.The cars are to bolted down in my opinion.On the issue of being slow sometimes.I have been on other side where I can walk away from everyone so I guess if you race enough it evens itself out.

I was in a great race in the rain on Suzuka Circuit last night (well for me).
I asked before but did not get a response, Will the Spa race have weather change ON?
I don't mean set it for "pouring rain", but just keep that in mix of potential hazarded (may or may not rain).

FMSC is about close racing, so it would be a nightmare pile up most of the time, not fun.

We've run other series before that included rain but this was in faster cars that spread out more during a race. It mixed up pit strategy and such in those more GT style races we've done.

I don't think SCCA Spec Miata racers would ever race in the rain either, so it's a no. Never done it before, shouldn't do it in the future imo 👍

That's ****ing insane! I wonder if that's a common thing 'cause I've been told before that they usually red flag races that have rain come down hard during them.

We need to ask an SM vet. for more. Where's Spyhunter?

I found that doing a simulation race in GT5 helps with preparing for the race. Does anyone else do a race simulation before Sunday's meet? Minus a few screw ups I did, my simulation time was about the same as the race time. ( I did the one pit stop as well)
 
We won't be racing in the rain in this series, at least for this season. My new Challenger endurance series may feature weather enabled events. I didn't mean to have it rain at Suzuka last night, I like making weather tracks slightly cloudy to get a more realistic look to them. I set it on 25% with weather change at "1", didn't expect it to rain.
