IF YOU HAVE A (PENDING APPROVAL) AFTER YOUR NAME THAT MEANS MYSELF OR OTHER RACE ADMINS HAVENT SEEN YOU RACE PLEASE RACE WITH US PRIOR TO THIS FRIDAY

Meet and Greet Race Layout

There will be 2 shootout races being held at the same time.
Gtuuk and Chadwicksracing will both hold private rooms. Depending on attendance we will make sure both rooms have even amount of drivers.
Chadwicksracing and I will be watching the shootouts
Shootout races will consist of a 20 lap race with no cautions with a competition caution after 10 laps at that time you can pit or stay out if ya like.
The top 7 drivers will advance to the 100 lap race with full cautions and as close as we can get to NASCAR rules
REMEMBER FULL DAMAGE WILL BE ON DURING THESE EVENTS SO DONT BE PACK BUMPING OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE CAR IN FRONT AND YOUR OWN.

Just a FYI guys I know that was just fun racing last night but i will be watching the replays at the end of a race and if i see people passing below the yellow in the tri oval last lap i will take away their finish position and score them accordingly.

This goes for the qualifying race before the 100 laper. Do not pass below the yellow line. As Gtuuk was saying; we will be watching. We will ask you to leave the event if you are not follow the rules.
 
What a finish to that race. I tought that chadwicks had you all going into the final lap but he only came 7th.
 
Hi guys, very excited about this. Couple of things though.

I am in UK so obviously much later for me. Being a Friday night though, I can deal with that.

I also completely understand that I am 'pending approval' and wouldn't have it any other way, although I do think that I raced with GTuuk73 last night (could be wrong).

However, I can guarantee that I race as clean as my experience allows me and have been learning by trying to find good online races to practice 'team work'.

For example, I have realised that it's not just a foot flat down all the way race and that there is an element of skill while driving in packs in nursing the gas.

Have been watching NASCAR for the last three seasons now from the UK and it's by far my favourite form of racing.

Would it be possible (if I don't find either of you before - as normally offline by 19:00 EST) to demonstrate if I am strong enough to compete, in the Meet and Greet session this Friday?

I have wheel, headset and the passion to compete in this, so I hope that is enough for now, and that my skills are good enough to contend.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in FND w/ SCANA. I think is very neat they you are willing to stay up to race! Unfortunately, no we cannot verify you in the 100 lap race. Gtuuk or myself are normally online before or around 7pm EST. You have two more nights to find us! Please look for us tonight. Add me and gtuuk to your PSN.

Thank for understanding our position on the matter. It doesn't matter how good you are, so long as you can get around the track in a straight line.

Hi Knelly, I will have a room up bye 330 est today.So plz come join me it will be a open lobby room Named FND full dmg although i will probably keep damage off while in a public lobby. I put it up to deter people from joining. Also It will be very early for the regulars to be showing up so the racing will not be that good.

Hi there GT, and thanks for the post. I will have to wait for the better half to go to bed before I can get online so will be constantly asking her if she is tired etc :crazy:

Just watched the replay of the race on here - that is some scary ****. Nothing more scary than racing at 230 mph in a pack - looks quality though :)

I'll be on as soon as I can and hopefully prove my worth. Will look out for you.

Gtuuk, I had a good time racing with you today. Sad to say I will not be able to make it to the race this Friday. I have this annoying person in my life known as a fiance' that happens to make plans for me without me knowing and...well yea, you probably get the point. Anyways good luck with the race Friday night and I'm sure I will race with you shortly. Take care man.
 
I keep getting disconnected after being in your room for about 1min... might not be able to make this happen if I can't figure out this problem.

2) Tried resetting modem. No dice.
3) Looked up GT5 ports and forwarded them. No dice.
4) Looked up PS3 ports and forwarded them. No dice.
5) Opened up ALL ports to my PS3 IP. No dice.
6) Added PS3 IP to router's DMZ. No dice.
7) Manually set all settings in PS3. No dice.

Once I'm in a race, all is good. But 9 times out of 10, I join a room and hang out for a minute, disconnected from server.
 
I might give this one a try. Looks exciting racing in a pack like that :)
One advice, maybe host the sessions in the open lobby rather than lounges?
This way, you don't have to go through the hassle of adding people on PSN.
I tried to do this in my series but my friend's list quickly filled up so i changed it.

Are you hard wired or wireless??? when you reset your modem did you leave your router off??? you need to do this in order.
#1 Unplug Modem and router
#2 plug in Modem and depress Reset button. Wait for internet conection light.
#3 after double checking that the modem has connection plug in router and depress reset button.
you have now synced up your network connection.
I hope this helps.

I'll try that exactly because at this point I'm down to try anything at all, though I'm fairly confident that this won't be my solution. I'm wired. Maybe I should try wireless...

Disable your firewall on the router.

Delete all Port forwarding for PS3..

DMZ PS3

Check into our UPnP, disable it

Plug PS3 directly into Modem.

What is your NAT?

Are there any other devices connected to the router /w the ps3?

That should help you keep busy...hope you find the kink, and fix it before tomorrow night.
 
Bought a new router and ran the works through it and QoS'd the PS3 as well... I just joined 3 servers in a row successfully! Knock on wood, I think I'm good now. I'll test it in a couple hours after band practice, 9pm pacific I'll be racing for the rest of the night.

Sorry to have hijacked the thread with my network woes :( Looking forward to racing with you guys.
 
I may be a lil little late on this but I will be on to see if ya you need a overflow driver. Should be some good races!
