Huh? The only kind of rear foglight I've seen is a single one down low (in fact, the new Mini is the only car I've noticed with a rear foglight). They make ones that increase the brightness of the ordinary taillights?its the guys who leave the rear ones on thats the problem because you can't see when they brake (thank god for the central brake light!)....
That's about as retarded as red turn signals, especially in taillights that use the same bulb for braking and turn signal duties (something you'll only find in the u.s. as far as I know). I can't count the number of times I've been passing through the blind spot (never lingering) of a Dodge Caravan or something of that nature when suddenly their taillight blinks, and then I'm left wondering for a moment if they briefly tapped the brakes or if they're about to merge into me. It's an easily-remedied problem that shouldn't exist to begin with, and what's worse is that some american cars have amber turn signals, and some don't. WHY????
Like you said, at least there's the third brake light. You know, the one that seems to be the first to go out in older cars.
