As a second part of my "I predict" for GT4, I wanted to dedicate this one to race events. Let me see what I can come up with:

Civic Championship
- All Honda Civics from the CRX to the Type-R.

Viper Challenge
- All Dodge Vipers. Racing models included.

Chevy vs. Ford
- The Age-old American rivalry taken to a 3-race championship.

JGTC vs. DTM
- Japanese power vs. German Prowess!

Britain vs. Italy
- British race cars challenge the passionate Italian makes

(I think they should bring this back)
World MegaSpeed Challenge
-any car, as long as it can make it to or past 200 mph!

GT Sportscar Championship
-restricted only to GTPs and Endurance race cars!

ENDURANCE IDEAS:

Midfield Raceway- 50 laps
-the somewhat high-speed race at Midfield.

New York City 100
-NYC streets take a beating!

Tokyo R246 race- (reduce to 50 or 75 laps)
- Tokyo, my favorite city in the world, and highly entertaining racing. A race at sunset, twilight, or even night (transition would be better) would ROCK!

Fuji Challenge
- A JGTC-style challenge at Fuji

Suzuka 50 laps
- The figure-8 in Suzuka-Shi, Japan home to the Fuji Television Grand Prix of Japan

Well, any ideas? Entertain us!

Some events I'd like to see and/or think will appear are

Impreza v Evo challenge
- Subaru Impreza's and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo's

Midget cup
- Daihatsu Midget

JGTC GT300 cup
- 300Bhp maximium

JGTC GT500 cup
- 500Bhp maximum

Vette v Viper cup
- Cheverolet Corvette's and Dodge Viper's only

The country v country cups i.e. UK v Japan or US v Germany etc

World rally challenge
- 300Bhp maximum

Pikes peak hillclimb
- Any car

World touring car challenge
- 350Bhp maximum

Drag racing
- Variouse Bhp limits or different classes

I would like to see:
GT2/GT/GTO/GTS race series (only GT2 sports cars can race in it)

GT1 World sports cars

GTP Racing League

Past GT cars

Past and Present

The reason for these such specific championships, is because for some reaosn in GT3 and GT2, for some reason I thought it was stupid the way the GT40 would race agaisnt things like the Toyota GT1. It would always just seem like a stupid un realistic race to me. So I think class specific championships would be good to see.

Lets see...

Bring back the "world" races from GT2...

USA vs Japan, Italy vs Britian, etc...

Dodge vs Chevy.. (Corvette vs Viper)

Subaru wrx/Sti vs Mitsubishi Lancer/Evo

Corvette Challenge and/or Viper Challenge (20laps NYC)

Camero vs Mustang

*Have diffrent manufacturer series such as...
Dodge Chevy, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Honda, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes etc...

or specific car series

Viper, Civic, Corvette, WRX/STI, Lancer/EVO, Mustang, Camero, etc...

I dunno just more series even if there short they dont have to be long, 3 race series to like 10 races.. Just bring back the "world races from GT2" manufacturer races etc...

How about a complex string 100 lapper without the pause option? That would please some maniacs here.

citta di aria 24 hours

the most challenging of all enduros round the tight and twisty village roads of Italy.

With out pause feature?

GT 300
GT 500
GT
GTS
DP
and LM Class Races.

HP restricted races. I liked them in GT2. This alone would make me happy.

what about a 24hr race. It would suck with a controller but using a wheel would help. I would like to see some of the original small tracks back in the game as well.

I would enjoy a 24 hour race. Plus I have a wheel so it's all good.

24 hours without pause feautre would be mad, and having one would be slightly pointless. Guess its for the crazy hardcores.....well if it was in it then Im sure I would try to win it : )

For me, I would like to see...

Short course races (maximum of 10 laps):
-Sport Compact Challenge (High Speed Ring)
=All modified Class-C cars (Civic, Sentra, etc.)
-Auto Cross Challenge (Motor Sports Land)
=Any car stock within class.
-One on One Tournament (5 track random race)
=Any road course with just one opponent on a specific stock car/class
-Drift Session (High Speed Ring, Motor Sport Land, and Grand Valley Short)
=Just like a D1 championship
-Pikes Peak Downhill
=A race involves stock cars (just like Initial D)

Endurance:
(coming soon)

The only thing I would like to see new are the drag races and rally endurance races, everything else is fine.

I think it would be cool if there was a king of import class thing/ feature, here's my idea:
You pick one of the following cars: RX-7, Supra,Skyline, 300zx,350z,3000gt, and the NSX.
Now you have to win multiple events to become the king of imports such as: 400m/ 1/4 mile drag race, a series of 10 different stages, an endurance race, and a rally race, you have to place 1st in all to become king of imports, I like it, anyone else like it?

100 laps of complex string=lots of time in your hands

Here are some additional ideas I have:

King/Queen (for the female gamers) of the Road
- All street courses or at least 75% a true street course

Triple Threat: Supra vs. Skyline vs. NSX
- Only allowed to Japan's high-profile sports cars

Honda R-type Battle
- Only Hondas/Acuras can race.

Beat the Escudo
- Available to all rally machines, and the goal is simple. BEAT THE ESCUDO PIKES PEAK! Easier said than done, of course.

Holden vs. Tickford
- An Australian showdown!

Persistance
- Only racers who know how to endure challenging tracks and properly navigate technical sections of track will win the races.

Mustang Melee
- Ford Mustangs from the 1960s and present can race. America's favorite muscle car in America.

Hatchbacks vs. Station Wagons
- all hatchbacks and station wagons of all kinds are able to compete.

Hidden Treasures
- only drivers with hard-to-find cars (like the Lancia Stratos Rally Racer or the Nissan 280Z) can race. Concepts are also welcome.

West Coast Offense
- American cars ready to "attack" the race tracks of the world!

La Carerra de la Noche
- twillight, evening, and night races only. Challenge the darkness!

Suicidal Grand Prix
- any car can compete, any car can win, and there are no special changes to the tracks. The only downside? You'll be racing in fog, even at night!

JGTC: GT500 vs. GT300
- GT500 and GT300 compete at once. The differences in speed become a serious factor, and there are two winners if you choose to race a GT300 or GT500. Outright wins are still possible.

And here is my last to share:
Tuner Battle
- no purpose-built race cars, but the ability to race hard-tuned, commercially available street cars will seperate the men/women from the boys/girls, so to speak. Racing modifications will be allowed, as are body kits, tack ons (like extra lights for dark races), and others are allowed except NOS.

Any more creative ideas?

I like the idea of a WRX vs EVO race series.

The only new suggestion I can come up with is to have multiple restrictions on tpye or car available. Instead of just having MR, FR, etc. Have a horsepower limit or minimum weight. Encourage people to think outside of their trusty old favourites.

elise V VX220
Exige V VX220 Turbo
And (if they have either) hummer H2 V RangeRover

The RR would waste the H2 but it would be an interesting race.

Trans Am
-Pony Cars new and old, fender to fender in a 10 race series.

Heavy Metal Series
-Muscle cars only

1 word......

BUNTA CHALLENGE!

ROFL

hrmm....makes me wonder if there are any sorta downhill-like tracks.....something more extreme, and no subtle like trial mountain...

yeah.....

they should have some kinda mountain pass thing.

all hilly tracks and they dont loop.

sorta like a much more realistic Initial D: Arcade Stage.

Midfield Raceway- 50 laps

IMO that's too short. I think a minimum of 80 Laps would be ideal.

Maybe "proper" F1 races, i.e. the track (Slightly wider than reality, like GT3's Monaco.) and the actual number of laps (e.g. 78 for Monaco.) Australia, Germany and Japan would be good F1 races for GT4 IMO. :)

How about a real incar veiw? not one from the license plate, or being able to race the cars that you built and use your own setup in the online mode or the vacated i-link.

All I want is a race construction mode. I'd like to be able to pick my competitors and the track.

How about this for a weird idea:

Musical Chairs
- whomever is leading the race by the end of the song wins!

I heard Hong Kong might be a GT4 track, so I would have to come up with a cool contest for that. Another interesting idea would be to match up the "Dream Cars" against their tuned, commercially available.

I would call this the:

Streetcar/Racecar Duel Challenge
- In a one-lap race, a Dream Car (examples: FTO LM Race Car, S2000 LM Race Car, Ford GT Race Car, Mazda RX-8 LM Race Car, etc.) will challenge a hard-tuned street car of the same type. For example, a person with a highly-tuned Honda S2000 can challenge the S2000 LM Race Car to a one-lap duel. If the driver of the street car wins the race, that person will win one of the folowing: the "Dream Car" he/she just beat in any color choice they want, a considerable sum of money (no more than 100,000 cr.), or a tuned version of that car (for example, beating a Nissan Skyline LM will win you a Mine's Skyline). If the contender races one of the "Dream Cars," then that person will win either a tuned version of the same car, or a good amount of money. By the way, tracks will be at random and can range from normal to reverse tracks.

Seems like I came up with a cool topic, keep the replies coming!
