Which Type-R would you say is the fastest?

-Integra Type-R
-Integra (RSX) Type-R
-Cvic Type-R..

I chose these cars because they all have equal HP..which is 200 HP..
So this judging by the cars other specifications..not by Horse Power..

so it's all up to the:
TORQE
WEIGHT..whatever...

This is not including the accord and especially the NSX..

I don't think the Accord comes in a Type R...

Also, is the Civic Si and RSX Type S the same as their Japanese Type R variants, just with different badges?

Well Euro Type R actually...but considered type-r

NO I was reffering to the previous civic type R 97-01 but the Civic Sir we have in North america only comes in with 160 hp and as for the RSX the north american is only 200hp but the japanese version is 220hp..

The Accord did come in Type-R guise, only in Europe and Asia. Think of it as a 4 door Prelude. It was in GT2, if that rings a bell, and it's totally different from the Euro-R (which, ironically, isn't sold in Europe.)

As far as the Si/RSX-S, totally not. The current Integra Type-R (DC5 chassis) has a 220hp version of the K20, with 17'' wheels, better suspensions and less weight, while the CTR (EP3 chassis) has the RSX-S's 200hp K20, also on 17'' wheels, better suspensions and less weight. It also has a 6 speed.

As far as the original topic goes, the old DC2 Integra R still has to be bettered, IMO, in terms of FWD handling/packaging.

Yes DC5 is the RSX chasis for both Japanese and North American...the Japanese top of the line model is the RSX Type-R (220hp) and the Japanese low end which is called the (iS) is the one we have in North America the RSX Type-S (200hp)..

As for the EP3 there is only 2 types..well it's the same but the one you are reffering to is the one they have in Japan the Civic Type-R 200hp..the one we have we have in North America is only an SiR 160hp...UNLESS YOU'RE FROM THE STATES..because for some reason Canada gets all the crappy versions..and States is starting to follow through with Japan and Europe..

Ahh, the letter "R." A note saying that this is not your ordinary Honda. For the fans of the Red Badge of Honda, a Honda fan will love having a car that has a Type-R badge. Modifi3d, you mention most of the Type-Rs, but you forgot a potential big one- the NSX Type-R. Even though the NSX may be in its dying years (and perhaps the S2000 can get the NSX motor to have 276hp. But of the ones you provided, let me see which I like to continue the thread with. My apologies. You gave a list.

I'm not a fan of the RSX. I don't really like styling with it even if the performance gives second thoughts. The Civic Type-R is well respected among tuner car fans. The Civic on the streets are as common as Porsches in endurance auto racing. But one thing that people often overlook before calling a car a "rice rocket" is to think about a car's capabilities even before being modified. It doesn't matter if a Civic has a flamboyant rear wing, neon underlighting, unpainted carbon fiber hood, race car-like sounding muffler, or whatever. What people overlook is that the Civic is actually a pretty good economy car. Despite the fact it's nowhere near the performance capabilities of a Corvette, the Civic remains a very good and reliable automobile.

If I had to choose, I'd say the Civic Type-R. PLEASE. Don't label me as a "ricer" or a "backstabber" on cars like this because I said the Civic was the better of them. I didn't say that I love tuning them. I didn't say that it's better than the Corvette. I just said that the Civic is better than the Integra. I'd buy one if I was looking into a Honda or Acura. And as much as I'd like to see the Ford Focus RS in America, I'd also like to see Honda give out the Type-R so that Honda fans will be able to take their beloved tuner car and have the highest-performing machine. The "Car and Driver" magazine devoted to the tuner scene (isn't it called "Boost?" Or is it "Speed?") had a TV segment on the Civic. You have to import it. The Civic Type-R of Japan is a b*tchin' FWD pocket rocket. So in closing, I'd pick the Type-R Civic. Not for popularity, but I think it's a better car.

"NSX In its dying years"? I think not. The Acura HSC Concept is a clear indicator of the 'Japanese Enzo''s bright future.

(Think about it for a second, both cars were built in celebration of each companies F1 success, and, at the time each was built, incorporated some of the latest-of-the-time technologies)

Current gen Civic Type R's and previous gen Accord type R's are common as muck here. Probably the fact that they were built here comes into the equasion. Although to be honest the New Civic type R is cheap (UK car standards, so not cheap to Amecian pricing) in bang for buck terms at around £16,000. I've seen a fair few DC2 Type-R's running around in London, although they only sold the Japanese fronted one for a year and then changed it to the American shape. On another note I remember there was a special edition EK Civic type R that was Tweaked by the Jordan F1 team. To be honest I wouldn't mind owning an old EK type R, as long as I could take the big red logos off the side.

I thought the HSC had been shelved in favor for a GT. That's at least what I read in EVO. There's apparently no plans for a S2000 replacement either. And me wishing for an S2000 Type-R...

As for the fastest, I'd probably begin to look at what Spoon has to offer, but then again their cars are not stock. I'd say the current gen. Integra Type-R - but that's because I like it, I have no clue if it's the fastest - only a track test can reveal that.

The S2000 is a head turner in my view. Even John boy here admires this slick little machine. Say what you want about the S2000, but it is the most powerful Honda other than the NSX, where it gives up 30 or 50 horses and $40K or $50K. This car has proven to be a wonderful example of what "The Power of Dreams" can do. This car has lessons learned from competiting in racing. It's a race car for the street, even if it isn't a Le Mans homologation for the road at over $200,000. And I would agree that an S2000 Type-R would be a wonderful example as to making an already good car better. I will only be happy if it can push the Japanese normal 276, or rival the Impreza/WRX STi's 300 horses. Heck, it would perhaps add insult to injury if it can beat the Mustang AND the Impreza/WRX. Then, maybe it would silence the muscleheads who thinks Honda is Japanese for "crappy cars." I'm saying that in Honda's view. So don't knock me, please.

Even "Fifth Gear" (the episodes America gets) said the Type-R is a great machine, and it edged out five other "hot hatches," including that French fire-breather, the Renault Clio. Good one, Honda.
